I forgot about airflow! The Solo is somewhere in between a PD and a HI with respect to airflow. The airflow isn't restrictive enough on the Solo to make it a real issue, but the HI's airflow is wide open.

wow i was full on retard mode last night, hahahaha i did like 2 session on that one hash bowl and i think the bowl isn't cashed yet either. all i can say is get a HI if you like hash/wax/oils.

I had my first run with the HI this morning (I work nights so morning is my eve!).

I couldn't be bothered to fiddle with the VV so just stuck in my MZ power supply. It runs considerably hotter than the MZ. I managed 3 shallow stems before bed - 3 different styles; wood, ss tip and silicone tip - no combustion but very dark roast coffee abv.

When my gf woke up she came in saw the look on my face and said "judging by that grin and your slit eyes I guess your happy with them then" at which point I broke out in a fit of giggles that I couldn't control.

Loving it so far. I can't wait to till tomorrow when I have 4 days off to test this baby to the fullest!

So glad you are pleased with the HI so far J.R.R. Sounds like you have some more testing time ahead of you. Lots of tube combinations and variations to try. Should be a fun time.

There was actually a sequel to a Christmas Story. My Summer Story. It involved finding the ultimate battling spin top. I even got to spin one of the prototype tops for the movie. About the size of a Toasty Top.

AC350, if you have followed this thread at all, you know that there is a waiting list for Alan's vapes. I don't see how you could think he would be able to have a 420 sale if he hasn't filled the orders he already has. It would be different if he had stock.

There will be some other 420 sales around, I'm sure. I just wouldn't be expecting one here.

That said, congrats on getting your HI and TT JRR. I'll bet you are one happy camper right now.

Hope I can get to the point where I am caught up enough to do something like that someday. The precision and custom nature of my products makes the production speed slow. I make each unit as if it were going to be mine to keep. As perfect as possible. Thanks for the answers mom.

J.R.R. - The photos look great. Watch out for nibbler. He will not want you to put him down. He really likes to be held. Hope he always treats you well. Sounds like you have a whole lot of roasting tubes to try with your HI. Enjoy your days off.

cluffy - I only got to throw one of the prototype tops and meet with the top consultant for the movie a couple of years ago. Also got to hear stories about the making of the movie. Very cool.
