The HI

Wanted to share a few photos of my HIs that I received from Alan this weekend. Also got all the usual goodies from him to make sure my vaping experience is top notch. The one of the right is a Cocobolo body with Ebony base. The other is Lignum Vitae for both the body and the base. Without further ado:

Finished up a batch of HI's recently and had one with a remarkable grain pattern. It is bocote with the grain oriented sideways and an ebony bottom cap. It reminds me of the sun setting on the ocean.

Excited to see the Voltage Keeper units introduced. They work really well with the HI. I was fortunate enough to get some that I can offer with my HI units.
My favorite type of wood  beautiful!

Wow. These vapes are blowing me away. I cannot wait to start the discussion! I love the contrast in that Bocote, and that Colobolo looks like Half Dome from a certain angle.

Alan, when is the Hilite going to be available for sale and will your make-to-order time be much improved over the wooden version?

Got the email! In discussions with Alan presently....the usual can't decide between glass and ss covers lol.

going with the voltage keeper for sure.

great timing, have an e-nano on its way too, but hoping that there is room for love for both, because i'm planning it that way lol.

Please share your opinions on them once you have a chance to compare them

Which Blaze? I assume that the HI milks it effortlessly? Reason I ask is I wonder if a massive enough draw could overwhelm the heater.

biohacker,

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
HI has been my main driver for the last few days again. Mates so well with my Blaze Bubbler. There's so much power in such a little package.

That's exactly what continues to hold my interest in the HI... such a big punch in a small unit (lol) with a thin 12v power cord... sometimes, and with some pieces, the size of the cloud and having to deal with that thick, stiff power cord are a serious pain in the ass and I daydream of having a beautiful little HI to grab on those occasions

I didn't get on the list till early Aug... I got quite some time to wait yet.

I should receive my HI and Voltage Keeper this week. Unfortunately I will be out of town for part of this week. I will try to post pics and a video as soon as I can.
Sweet mc79. I look forward to it. Gotta ask which heater core did you choose? stainless steel?

How do I order Edit: Let me elaborate. I am looking at this and the Underdog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning towards this as it seams people love them. Also is there a voltage regulator that is suggested. Thank you in advance for your responses! I am ready to get away from my volcano for awhile and my MFLB with glyphs are becoming my DD just because I am sick of messing with bags. efficiency, ease of use, no glass, are my biggest concerns. I am a blank slate with no bias so all opinions are valued. Thank you!

You can email alan@toastytop.com

If you want it right away, better get an UD. The HI has a waiting list, but it is worth the wait.

You should also post in Ask FC if you want peoples help choosing a vape.

These sections are for vaporizer specific issues and questions.

Congrats on bagging the bags. :D

Is the stem/bowl a common size on these units?
Could you use a competitors glass stems or attachments with this product?

Edit-
Which ones match up?

Thanks for posting the photos slowandsteady. Very happy with how they turned out.

@ataxian - It may take me a few weeks after sending me some exotic wood once your name comes up on the list. The cost would be as if it were made from domestic wood. I make them is small batches so it takes me a little while to complete them.

@vorrange - A friend of mine took apart his Easy Vape Digital and gave me the glass, heating element, and power cord so that I could make him a GTV out of it. He has promised to make a 5 gallon Vapor Lung to use with it. Should be epic. Anyhow, it forced me to make a jig to form the metal for the GTV and HILite. Much easier to make now. It is still taking me some time to prepare the metal prior to forming but does save me some time over the wooden version.

@biohacker - Here is a video of the HI filling a Vapor Lung.

This is about as fast a draw as you can get and it just keeps on making vapor. Heat Island Technology is the reason that it works so well. Heat Island Technology
Any vaporizer made with Heat Island Technology will perform comparably. Even my LSV performs just like a HI after I modified it with Heat Island Technology.
The roasting tube is what makes the biggest difference since it can provide the greatest restriction of any part in the system. The heat generating unit is only half of the vaporizer. That is why I have so many different kinds of roasting tubes. To provide the greatest flexibility in roasting.

@SpruceGruve - The HI will accept three styles of roasting tubes. The first style is the stainless steel micro roasting tube which is 5/16" OD and 1/4" ID. The CRZ tubes and UD Nylon tubes are compatible.
The second style is the large size that fit over the HI 3/8" SS heater cover. My glass and wood roasting bowls are 10mm in diameter which is just slightly larger than 3/8". My new glass heater is almost 10mm in diameter and makes a close fit in the 10mm roasting bowls. All of the outside style roasting tubes from UD should work with the HI SS heater cover. I am not certain if they will work with my glass heater cover. The silicone roasting bowls will obviously work on both the ss and glass heater covers.
I do not believe that any of the glass roasting tubes for the e-nano will work with the HI since the center tube of the e-nano has been machined to a smaller diameter.
The third style is the glass nipple roasting tip. It is rounded and fits into the end of the HI ss heater cover like a ball and socket joint. The glass nipple holds an amount larger than the ss micro tips and less than the outside style. It provides for an all glass roasting path.

One more video showing the power that is always available.

Back to the shop now so I can finish up some 14mm GonG tubes.

Your post shows why you make such an excelent vape and how you keep constantly improving.

One of the reasons why i love my HI is because the different roasting tubes give it great versatility in the experience of vaping. :)

And can one get in line for the Hilite already? :D
