Do you guys have any experience/preference with vape temps and how that relates to log vapes? I don't have a variable voltage supply, but I love starting out at low temperatures and working my way up to a full vape-roast after I extract the tasty (skim) milk vapor.
Do you all get a good range of temperatures by adjusting draw speed? Or do you guys vape at the stock (12v?) temperature until the bowl is done?

I don't typically change voltage/temp during a session, but will switch it up depending on what mood I'm in, what my needs are and what glass I'm using.
Awesome roast control, just by adjusting distance/rotating and vapor intake. Me, personally... I've been testing out a cheap vvps which gives amazing consistent voltage/roast.
Alan, thanks a lot! You've been dropping hints, blatant statements, to wake up and try to 10mm... especially without the nipple. You mentioned the free flow and even roast, from the snug fit silicone.

BDV - Glad you finally tried the Turbo Tube (3/8" silicone sleeve and 10mm glass tube). It is so easy to stir with a squeeze and roll.
I have been trying something new. I'm loading the Turbo Tube with small pinches of material rather than grinding. The pinches stay in the middle of the tube and the hot air flows around the outer edges of the roasting tube. The airflow is so much better initially. A few more hits are possible this way. Getting adequate airflow to the outer part of the roasting tube has always been a challenge. After the material has been roasted a bit, it becomes easily crumbled and more surface area can be exposed. The airflow is reduced by stirring. I'm the kind of guy who likes to tend and stir campfires, so I always stir the bowl for maximum extraction.

almost 3 weeks into my mandatory t-break. sucks but i still get to use my HI as a handy hand warmer. 
i think stirring the bowl is a must with the HI. dam my HI has been on 24/7 for a yr now with no problems at all, god i love this vape!!!!!

bOObs - You should have lots of fun after the t-break. Glad your HI is still going strong and keeping your hands warm. Nice to have multiple functions.

Just decided to read up on the HI, after being teased by a ghost classified add that was there for a few hours and went away. I have purposely been avoiding reading about log vapes because I was trying to curb my VAS (at least for a while) but this one has my attention, and I feel I am missing out by not trying log vapes. What I am hoping to find is a long term, heavy use desk vape. I currently use the Cloud which is an amazing device, but it has me on pins and needles all the time, worrying about breaking it. I am hoping to find a good alternative that will provide a wide range of vapor, but won't break easily. I prefer to vapor bong, as many of you might already know 
and reading up on the HI has shown me enough to make me want to get one.
This does look like an amazing little log vape.

Congratulations jambandphan03. Hope you are pleased with it. They can hit quite hard. I also make the wood/glass stems for the HI. Pretty much any configuration you can imagine. Planing to make a wood stem with a 14mm WonG end. Just a matter of cutting a precise taper.
