Since posting here, I've been very wary of coming down with VAS.

But I think when I get the Herbalizer, I'll have the best portable and the best desktop, so why bother?

Going up against the Herbie is the "final boss" of the vaping world, and there's no where to go beyond that.

Humm, I hope I will think the same then... I think the sub, and evo have set the bar pretty high already though. I am excited to see how different this thing really is.

I'll clarify a few with him, and I'll post some of them here for our discussion (over the next couple of days).

I know I am posting a lot, but man I can just so relate to this. I keep getting so fried off this thing, I gotta get off the "intense" setting. Anyone wanna encourage me down into the lower temps?

As a recent smoker, this shit-hot, oily smooth, vapor-rocket-fuel-citrus-ambrosia available in the "intense" section is soooooooo appealing. I know its mental, but "uplifting" and "balanced" sound intimidatingly not "intense" ROFL.

This vape is so badass, I am giggling out loud!

HERBIE STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!!

I think i have found my favourite method of vaping with Herbie!
Load a 1/2 full bowl of meds
Sprinkle some hash/crystals over the top and close the bowl.
Set Herbie to 190/374 and enjoy the ride!!

So medicated and i could not even finish the bowl…
I started at 190 and managed to go up to 200!
Wow, i think i am in love!

You've inspired me to try sprinkling some hash on my next bowl. Right now!

I am urgently needing a high end vaporizer to assist me with my anxiety, BP, and depression. I have been trying to get into contact with the Herbalizer team to see when they can send me a unit. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten a response in a few days now. Should I just go ahead and order the volcano or should I truly wait for the herbalizer?

Wow, I didn't even notice the Herbalizer was showing up there too. I did some clicking around after logging into the account I created at the time of my order, that's how I found it.

I seshed .1g of GSC w/ some hash and I'm very medicated. Happy Friday.

Herbalizer hands down over the Volcano. No contest. But if you're in a hurry, then Herbie may not be your best bet. Maybe pick up something cheaper like the Solo (~$160) to hold you over until your Herbalizer preorder can be filled?

If at all possible, end up with an Herbalizer. That's the best piece of advice I can offer.

$70 seems expensive for the bowl, but at 10% of the product cost it's similar to say an ssv wand. Still seems expensive! And the $20 for the stash box is expensive as well, but that's because it's custom made for herbie and quantity of scale and all that. The rest of the stuff actually seems pretty reasonably priced.

I've been stalking the accessories pages for a while now waiting for the whip assemblies and bowls to go in stock.. I want different colored "CoolGrips". : )

By the way, heard back from Josh and looks like we can get my Herbie fixed up, at least temporarily, without a return. It looks like there is a washer that sits on top of the magnet and it simply came loose. I am guessing that tape I saw is supposed to hold it in place but I could be wrong. I have to say, emails from Josh have me rolling on the floor. That guy is a nut, I love it!

Reminds me of a looooong time ago when I figured cognac would make for a perfectly good substitute for water in a water tool. IIRC it was rather tasty, but not as much as I would have though. Wonder what a drop or two of like a single malt might do on some herb? Everything else we tried in the Herbalizer was delicious. (eg, zero-cal-vaped chocholate-chip cookies) Probably boil quickly.

You guy's wanna try something awesome, yesterday my daytime sessions were using pure sativa. I happen to have Green Crack the flower and Green Crack the sequel "shatter". Let me tell you people, it gave enlightening a whole new meaning.

I told my wife last night that I think from now on when using Herbie I may wear a tie.

If i couldn't get a herbie (because i needed it tomorrow and won't wait) I would not make my next choice the volcano. But that's just me i guess. btw, next batch of herbies are shipping on monday! put in your order and start the countdown to H-day.

imo, wanting a herbie and not being able to get one so then buying a volcano instead, is along the lines of wanting a farrari, not being able to get it; so instead you buy a sherman tank. 2 very different machines. volcano works, and does the job well, but not with much class or excitement. (i don't really like the vapor the volc makes compared to all my other vapes.)

If you can't wait and decide on a Volcano, at least get one used. They not worth the current price new as far as I am concerned. That being said, patience has its rewards, and if you can wait, the Herbalizer will be a far more advanced device for the money.

@Tweek is right. Storz and Bickel should have lowered the price years ago. Get one used, they pop up on Craigslist all the time.

Personally, I would get something cheap while you that will still hold value even after you get Herbie.

Get a solo like @nigel recommended. Powerful, glass air - path, and it offers phenomenal flavor. And it doesn't hurt that Arizer builds them like tanks.

On another note, has anyone tried using Herbie as a bronchial dialator? I could have sworn I saw something about vicks vapor pads being used?

You probably already know this, but I find Blue Dream, and the true blue '91 Chemdawg to be excellent bronchial dilators. They seem to induce a really clean cough that produces. Helps with my tight chest, sometimes.

We did, but more to mess around.
PRO-TIP: Do NOT wave whip end past your eyes when fan assist is on.

Hmm, at this point I start at 390, and stay there as long as I can, and finish up around 420. I am guessing that the effect will work all the way through the "balanced" settings too, but in my naive mind I imagine a little "warmth" helps.

Actualy, believe it or not, in CO they are doing this with great results, apparently. Anyone ever hear of a Malawi Cob... thats kinda like aged bud. This is all so fascinating.

I am really glad to hear this feedback. I had great instincts about Josh and team, right from the get-go. I am glad that I was right, and even more glad that it has practical value to the community.

Love that I can now do a quick mini sesh in a matter of minutes before heading out the door. There have been many times in the past where I wanted to vape before leaving the house, but didn't want to spend 20 minutes using the Solo. This is much more convenient.
