The Herbalizer

Regardless of the third paragraph, my point was, Yes you can change the fan speed in aromatherapy mode, not just the length of time. In regards to the pulsing, I do not experience nothing like that video. My video is my fan in Vaportherapy mode, with the only fan speed I have. if the unit functions with no problems then that's all that matters

There's only one fan speed for vaping from what I remember.

interesting - so far I like the bags more than the whip, didn't see that coming (don't have prior experience with either) it's really sweet how quick the Herbalizer is - takes me longer to prep the bowl than for it to get to temp then hardly any time to fill a bag or get tons of vapor through the whip (I have it set to 420, tried 375 for a while but wasn't getting the affects I desired, that's another nice thing about this, easy peasy lemon squeezy)
I really liked the bags too, moreso than any other bag vape I have used.

I really like how I can take the bag and put it right on a 14mm male adapter then use it with any of my water pieces - allows me to 'sip' the vapor through water filtration, verrrrrry nice for someone with still a newbie throat

The fast bag fill time definitely should be considered a top feature for the herbie. A lot of other bag vapes have felt more lackluster to me because they fill up slower: leading to a less fresh vapor rip and more condensation in the bag.

Ultimately it feels closer to rich, direct-draw vapor (when compared to some of the other bag vaporizers)

Great Scott!
I wish I passed on the evo and saved the money for this. I don't even have the evo yet still months later, but the reviews for this are looking like a LOT more happier customers :(

Is there any special FC pricing i should know about if I do decide to save up for this? What is the total cost roughly for us at this point. I know it was cheaper a while ago or something.

I just did a bag test as well and she filled up in 48.4 seconds. That's with a brand new bag folded up out of the package. I emptied the bag of air and retried it and was able to fill it in 40 seconds flat. I think once you get the hang of it it terms of how it's suppose to connect we should be able to achieve times of 30-35 seconds. In my opinion it's plenty fast and the flavor is killer. Way better and faster than my volcano!

Hey billyg, since you have existing bag experience and the clam, maybe you can answer a couple of quick questions?

1. replacement bags - do I have to use their special bags?
2. how often to I replace the bag?
3. are there pros and cons to other size bags
4. I have no bag experience other than the past couple of days, any tips or common knowledge?

I am far from an expert and have only used bags that came with the verbalizer and the volcano and have not tried any aftermarket size or brand so I can't help there. I will probably just use bags that are designed for the herbie unless someone on the forum recommends something better.

1. Yes, it would appear that you must buy their bags. With the Volcano solid valve, you replaced the bags yourself. With the Volcano easy valve, you could replace the bags yourself with some effort. However, the Herbalizer bags don't seem to be removable from the mouthpieces, so I assume they'll require complete replacement.

2. Very rarely. Volcano bags last me a year or longer. I expect the Herbalizer bags to last even longer due to less condensation within the bag.

3. More so personal preference than pros/cons, I think. Though a bigger bag may allow for more condensation due to a greater bag surface area? Aside from that, I think bag size really only affects the length of time it takes to fill (longer fill time = slightly less fresh vapor) and the amount of vapor it can hold. The Herbalizer's standard bag size is pretty spot on, IMO.

4. Bags are a very easy, convenient way to vape. Just stick it on the bowl, press the fan on, and let it fill. I've been exclusively using bags now for the past few days. I definitely prefer it to the whip, which is surprising because my expectations were reversed.

Almost there...

I am also still waiting for my EVO almost 6 months after paying… At least when it gets here the bugs should be sorted out.

As for special FC pricing, that was only available for the early adopters.
We all paid $650 for the vape but if you buy one now i think the price is $725.
The early adopters pricing ended quite some time ago.

Just so we're all clear - I signed up a couple of days after the discount ended. So I paid the full price of $725 with free shipping and the extended Limited Edition warranty. I still made day 2 of their shipping.

Okay, I've never used a bag before here's my question. Can you fill a bag and not use it for an hour or two, or would the vapor quality, density, potency and flavor be negatively affected?

Nope, bags are for now. It goes stale and condenses and becomes unpleasant. Luckily what with the heat up time and posted fill speeds... Maybe a minute or so to get a bag filled? Then you can always get awesome taste. Or if you're looking for fast, use the whip with fan assist?

You can, but it is not recommended. It goes stale and does not taste as good... not as bad as stale smoke, but not pleasant. The potency starts to diminish over time because the vapor condenses on the side of the bag, and the bag will get dirty quicker.

When I first got my volcano though I would blow a bag up and throw it in the back seat of my car. It worked in a pinch, but was never overly satisfying.

Personal story time... The first time I experienced stale smoke... I thought I got poisoned or chemical soaked cannabis. It tasted like the metal or chrome in my mouth and really irritated my lungs. I was super confused since I had smoked half the bag already and did not experience that with what I smoked before. Thank goodness for the internet though... a few google searches later I learned about stale smoke.

I hope you meant vapor and vaped, rather than smoke and smoked:puke:

Yep I meant smoked. This was 9+ years ago. I kind of hated vapor at that point in time... I was a bong snob who though vapor did not get you very high. To my defense the major tech at the time was the Volcano and the VaporBrothers Box. My journey to vapor was a long one that took many many tries for me to find the right devices to fit my complicated medical needs.

Also my autocorrect changes the Herbalizer to verbalizer if you don't capitalize the H,

One my best experiences so far with Herbie, yesterday I did the unthinkable (for me anyway) I vaped an indica at 325, so enjoyed the uplifted feeling, no hard come down, no lazy couch lock, and back to baseline with a clear head and zero sleepiness. I avoid indica in the day time because the load just wears me down, by 7 I'm ready for bed. I can't say enough positive things about this vape.

the ob

all good in the hood.
I am currently watching the Ducks after being out of town this weekend (with herbie as one of my companions). I am going to give my update during the commercials.

Received her (yes, my herbie is a she) friday. Super excited. packaging was outstanding. All aspects of the packaging were great. You could actually use the original packaging as a way of carrying it around if you wanted. I would ultimately love a case for it as I can see wanting one as even though it is a plug in, I want to take it everywhere with me.

Opened it up, plugged it in and went to work. I have to say that the "fan assist" to me is not necessarily a assist. I found personally that using the whip without it did not produce much vapor. it could certainly be user error and as are many others, I am still figuring out the in's and out's. I am sure with time and also feedback from other members, the experience will continue to improve.

As mentioned, tried without the fan and then turned it on. Started at 350ish and did not see much vapor. Wondered if I was doing it right. Cranked it to 375 and then I started to experience what I imagined. Very clean, great taste and very effective.

Saturday. Packed her up, and took her on my trip.

Decided to pull the bag out and give it a shot. I have not personally used a bag in some time, and did not think it would interest me much. Like others have stated, I was wrong about the bags. Great experience. Clean, easy to fill and really a pleasant overall experience. I have to say I have used and preferred the bags in the sessions so far because of the ease of use. Yes, I feel like a teen at a dead show (old whip-its reference for you younger folks) but super fun.

I am still researching and playing with the temps. Had it as high as 420 for one run, but would love to have some more feedback in terms of what others are using as far as temps.

Also as others have mentioned, I do not notice the medicine getting really brown. Sometimes makes it difficult to know if you have used it throughly.

If I have any negatives, they are minor so far.

Here they are.

First, I wish the main units clamshell would click into place or perhaps use a magnet to hold it down. I have several theories as to why they did not do this, and am sure they have a reason. If you do not secure the whip exactly right, it can help to pop the lid open which if you have OCD, might make you nuts. The magnet in the upper portion is a nice touch. My lid has a tendency to move around a little more than I would want.

Second, my whip is very tacky. Meaning sticky. It has a tendency to pick up any materials that it comes in contact with. As mentioned, these are minor quibbles and do not in any way take away from the enjoyment of using the device.

couple of comments.

Make sure you push the end of the whip into the bowl connection. If you do not push it in, it will pop out. Also make sure to tighten the bowl as you screw it together of it can come undone as you pull the bowl off.

My bag takes longer than 40 seconds to fill. I did not measure, but I would say between 1 min and 1 min 30 seconds. So here is a very early breakdown of some pros and cons. Keep in mind, I only have had herbie for two days.

Pros
quality
heat up time
thoughtfulness of design
packaging.
vapor quality
uses medication very effectively.

Cons
Sticky whip (yes, this could be a personal problem) :)
lid closing because of whip.
would love a carrying case (not really a con or their problem_

as mentioned, would love to hear more about temps people are using.

ps, wish mine had a ducks message. No, I am not going to send it back to be reprogrammed however :)
