So butthurt. I've been eyeing these over the Volcano for awhile but told myself I'd need top succeed in a certain life goal before I spend the cash to get one. Now I won't even have the option. I hope something comes out to battle the Volcano.

The super surfers nice but IMHO it really can't hold a candle to the herbie. It can do the bags and all but when you compare it to things like the herbie's 15 second heatup, the ability to just sit a hydratube on top of the unit, the flavor that halogen heat source provides, it just adds up to so much more than the super surfer. Not trying to sell it short or anything but the herbalizer really was a special unique unit and theirs really nothing else like it on the market.

Took a dab of some live resin, scraped it into some de-gummed hemp and rolled it into a ball. Vaped at max and filled two bags before we tapped out. The taste was amazing and the buzz was too. The trick was rolling the dab in enough hemp to absorb all the resin without leaking into the bowl.

Gonna have to reserve this approach to special occasions though...way too good not to be a tolerance issue over time.

Do you consider your taste buds to be well honed ?
When I always did the hemp fiber oil wrap I would still taste the fiber even at low temperatures. It mixed with the oil in a decent way but I still would have liked to just taste the oils.
No charring or singeing on the fiber ?
Makes me miss the bags ,so convienent :)

@Wildeyedzan - I think my taste buds are average while my sense of smell is above average.

The de-gummed hemp I use has a slightly sweet herb like taste on it's own so I have to agree with you.....the hemp itself is affecting the taste but in a good way. I also agree that there is goodness in just tasting the oils solo. But unlike a straight up dab rig approach I get several nice hits/bags instead of a few massive hits. Kind of a savoring approach. Either way is great though.

I didn't experience any charring or singeing of the fiber. Your question got me wondering so I threw the already used hemp/resin ball back in on max again and hit it till there was no more vapor. It did get musky tasting but no char or singe.

I use the bags pretty sparingly but sometimes I like to fill a bag to SEE what's resulting in terms of vapor instead of hitting it and trying to gauge vapor production by lung burn or visuals on exhale. Of course the added value here is that bags are great regardless of the reason used.

Anyone ever tried using Herbie to vape totally fresh green flower right off the tree?

I had a branch fall off and decided, what the hell? I'm not combusting so maybe it wont be harsh. Well, I'll tell you folks, it wasn't just "not harsh" - it was beautiful! Incredibly potent effects. Of course, the flavor lacks depth and it's a little bit one-note, but to my surprise the one-note is not straw/hay, it's actually what the strain smells like.

I just jam some fresh flower (not even well trimmed) into the bowl and hit it at 370-380 for a couple bags, smash it up and hit a couple more. As you might expect the volume reduction when you do that is massive (full bowl down to a few crumbs, basically).

But the taste and effects - very cerebral and uplifting with none of the harsh drag or couch lock. So glad I grew a Sativa!!

Of course, I will still dry and cure 99% of the product. This is just a nice little preview, a lot sooner than I imagined.

+1 to Herbie's long list of magical abilities

It really is great to know that "@herbalizerrepair.com" exists, really the only reason I've been hoarding parts and accessories. He is factory trained and one of the guys who was repairing units when Herbalizer was an active business.

I have also bought bags and screens from him as well, he ships fast, packages goods well. He's on E-bay.

I was startled to learn, when my 20-month-old Herbalizer stopped working, that the warranty is useless; the company has gone out of business. I was lucky to find Herbalizer Herb <herbalizerrepair@gmail.com>, who repaired the unit in one day. "Maz" apparently was an employee of the now-defunct Herbalizer, and obtained a large inventory of parts when the company closed. I couldn't ask for better service. It's not inexpensive, but considering he has new parts, and expertise, and that the Herbalizer was expensive, the charge was fair. If there was a star rating system, I'd rate him five, the maximum.
