I am loving the Herbie more and more everyday. Since i bought it, the only other "vape" i have touched is the Dr. Dabber.

I have hooked glass and HT's up to the Herbie and am getting Cloud like results now. it is so damn quick. I can have the vape heated and ready to go in much less time than it takes me to unscrew the bowl and throw some already ground up herb in there. Perfect for quick medication. So damn precise too.

I still feel the Evo with VXNail provides the bigger hitting more fun concentrates experience with a higher temp range and all glass set up. I enjoy the higher range, find i can conserve concentrates more, and provides more of a dab like experience if that is what you want (Evo). But fumbling with the Hot nail kindof sucked. And i broke both minre because to be small enough to fit inside the VX Gong the nails have to be very thin glass. I love the nail, but can't buy new ones every 6 months. I broke both of mine very quick. But to be fair they both did roll and fall.

The Herbie provides ability to use the pads and blow bags with concentrates. It is also less hassle then fucking with the VX Nail IMO. I enjoy the occasional novelty of doing so as i have with my Zeph in the past.

Fumbling with tubing while using glass (Herbie) is not as enjoyable of an experience as one gets while plugging the evo into a gong, but you have to weigh that against the speed and perfect precision that the Herbie provides on a situational kind of basis. Currently, the Herbie is seeing all the work.

I couldn't agree more. I have only used the VXNail a few times at a friends and we only ever filled it correctly one time where it vaped off nicely. You have to put just the right amount in there which is hard to do consistently. You have to have your EVO heated up to what I consider a vary narrow temp range to not overdo it which means accounting for ~10 to ~15 min of heatup time to get to the right steady state. You can always turn it to max, wait for green, and then back the temp down to some "other" value to try to speed up the process but at this point you are just guessing. Once you really know your EVO you can do this but then that won't work if you use another EVO. My EVO runs at different temp ranges than my friend. Once you do dial in that perfect temp and perfect dab size you really only get one good hit and have to find that perfect dab size again. Even after doing all of that a good % of your hit is due to conduction against the hot glass vs convection with airflow but you do get bragging rights for having all glass and once you do dial in the temp and dab size just right it is a great and wonderful hit and one of the best IMHO! It is just really hard to do consistently. I love the convection based hits a lot which is why the Herbie is my daily driver. I keep meaning to go try my EVO again but I don't want to wait

As I have mentioned in the past my favorite hits are vaping off the oil that builds up on my hemp fiber. With the adapter I have I can do a hit without needing any bowl at all once enough goodies are built up. I have ultra sensitive lungs and those are the only hits I can take big without coughing myself to death.

I MUCH prefered the Herbie for concentrates and flowers over the EVO. With concentrates IMO it wasn't even close. I have yet to taste a dab better than one from the stainless paid blowing a bag. Pure consistent delicious tasting shatter vapour! With the EVO and vxnail it was too much of a pain, and further more the taste wasn't even close to the Herbie. I could vape every last bit from the herbie and there would be no residue either.

Fuck do I ever miss my Herbie. Best airflow and flavour i've yet experienced. Just wish it was a little friendlier with glass, as IMO the HT is the only way to go (I dislike any tubing).

Can't wait for the next version of this puppy if it ever comes out. Mark me down!

Herbie with concentrates and the Evo with concentrates are two different things. Herbie can only do low temp vaping for concentrates, which keeps them cool, tasty and lasting forever. You can do this with the Evo as well by putting concentrates in the Evo's elb in cotton, hemp fiber or whatever medium you choose.

The Evo's nail, however, is a different experience that Herbie cannot do. Nail hits are done at crazy high temps and are designed to deliver a strong punch to the face, many times with residue left behind! This simply cannot be done with Herbie. We might as well be comparing Herbie to a torch and nail rig.

Couldn't have said it better sticks. Evo for sure can produce that dab like experience, one giant hit to a tiny little peace of concentrate. The Herbie can not.

I definitely agree with you guys, I just like those lower temp convection hits, especially filling a bag or fan assisted with the HT. Throw the same thing in the Nano or LSV and the clouds take off like a rocket. Either way, using concentrates on the pads with the Herbie has been the best tasting concentrate experience i've ever had. And I miss it alot!

That's weird. I do very little concentrate, so when I had my first and only nail hit I finally understood what the deal was. After using concentrates in all my 450F-ish vapes, the nail and vxnail were a shot to the brain! Now that I think a bout it, most people having success with concentrate in the Cloud/Evo were using the double cap method...you may want to try that.

We're now officially derailing...

Popped in two fresh screens today and wow, like a new machine. I forget how much better almost all vapes work with fresh screens. I do wish it came with at least 6, as they seem to be an unusual size and i dont believe i have any exact matches. Anyone find a hole punch or anything the exact right size to make your own?

I would love to know this as well. I was about to bite the bullet and buy two 6 packs from herbalizer but it costs $10 for the scteens and $10 to ship. I hope someone like vapornatiom gets them in stock wjere shipping is more reasonable.

You can throw a stamp on some screens, I wonder if you can email them and get a better shipping option. Although 10 bucks for 12 screens is still pricey id swing it if shipping was free.

I was just cleaning my Herbie bowls and some miniVAP screen baskets. I got to thinking that the size of the Herbie bowl was pretty close to the miniVAP baskets so I tried one in the Herbie bowl.

The diameter is almost perfect and the larger 15ml size MV basket drops right in. The smaller 7.5ml basket fits nicely on top of the 15ml basket to keep the load contained with no need for any screens in either the top or bottom of the Herbie bowl.

I don't know how often I'll use this method, but it certainly hits well and keeps the Herbie bowl nice and clean. It could come in very handy for concentrates that always mess up my top screen so quickly. It will also be nice for those times when I've packed a few MV baskets and then decide I'd rather use the Herbie.

@lazylightning -- thanks for the video! that little piece of tubing you are using as an o-ring for the reducer is brilliant...way sturdier than what I came up with!

@IAmKrazy2 - you probably read this already, but I just switch the screens (top to bottom and vice versa) and let the unit run on high to clean the bottom screen (which was in the top where it gets gunked up). You can usually get a hit with it.

What is that glass adapter you're using with a HT?

You mean the glass connector on the Herbie bowl? It's a 18/14mm reducer. I posted my parts list a while back:

@stickstones Tried your screen trick today to clean my top screen. Top screen was brand new less than a week ago. Today, when i moved it to the bottom and pumped up the juice basically a whole bag worth of buildup poured on out. It was much more than i thought. Next time I'll bag that up rather then let it go to waste.

Moving the screens takes some finesse, but i actually got the perfect tool stickstones gave me. it has a flat pipe tamper that helps get the bottom in place.

Let me tell you, that as an insomniac, this was not a happy moment. Oh well, nothing to be done except send it in, already contacted HQ. I had no idea how much I relied on the Herbie, until right now. PAX'ing it up over here, but not quite getting there. For those who know: 445, full flavor, zero combustion.

Decided to break my Herbie out again!
She has been living in her travelling case, in a box with lots of stuff on top...
Selling a house and moving sucks!!
Anyway, i tried her out at MAX temp, regular whip and no fan assist.
There is that great Herbie taste!!! Doesn't last too long but it is amazing!
Session was great but i have come to realize that while Herbie can be pretty conservative, she excels with a full bowl! Huge clouds, great flavour and super medicated!!

Unfortunately i was coughing my guts out for most of the time!
Dry or through a WT, i coughed like crazy and it hurt after a while.
Anyone know what would cause this to happen?
I vaped the same ground bud in my Nano and it was awesome dry! No coughing.
Very weird...

EDIT: Never mind!! Must have been me... Or the strain for some reason.
Tried a different strain and Herbie is rocking like always!! Great clouds and taste!! No coughing either! Could have just been that the humidity is historically low!

Remember all my coughing fits with the Herbie, at upper temps? Could it be the grind consistency? Finer grinds and max temp ripped my lungs apart, probably mostly due to the glutonous size of my hits! I'm sure cutting my hits in half would have solved that problem.
