Helluva first post & pic @BoroSmith — Welcome and glad you kicked the flame to the curb!
Help with water piece for Herbie please.
I'm looking for a hydro tube (if that's the proper name) for Herbie.
Something like madcap posted but way smaller with minimal diffusion.
I have a nice small bubbler but these direct water tubes interest me.

Do the cheap Chinese vendors have a nice knock-off or anything you'd
recommend ?
Thanks for any help/suggestions

I dig my tube from GBD (GlassBlowersDirect.com- Assassin Necktie, $99) and posted this pic. I prefer a closed mouthpiece, so selection's limited. For open mouthpiece tubes, there's the Pinnacle PNWT and its dhgate knock-offs, and the F-bomb which I know nothing about. There's also a piece someone posted just a few pages back saying it was easier draw than the Necktie. There's tons of great tubes of course at vapexhale but maybe bigger than you want and $$$. Good luck!

Paka -- Now you know I've measured both of these devices, and when they say 375°F, they both mean it. Both are really true to the temp when the bowl is ready. (IIRC it was measured within a few degrees.)

*NOW* what happens DURNING draw however... The Ascent's battery and portability(small size) deny it the ability to heat room temp air as rapidly as one draws. This is why it is suggested to let it recover between draws. The curve plummets on draw and recovers back to set temp. The Herbie on the other hand, is designed to keep the temp precise on point. When I put it on load, the curve is essentially flat.

But the rest of your points are right on mark. Vapor and air mix between the two are quite different (Herbie seems to like a very loosely half-filled bowl, and the Ascent likes a denser pack.). And good point trying to debunk the thickness myth.

Well, both devices are marketed as having precise temperature control, so that doesn't surprise me. I think you'll agree, however, that it's a fair statement about temperature-controlled vapourizers in general. Good point about the variation during draw.

I just got a Vaporicer from Vapornation. (free gift with the Minivap:tup:) This little $10 wonder is basically a 3-piece micro-freezer pack (like the larger versions for coolers) enclosed by 2 plastic cones with openings for your whip connection which fits perfectly with Herbie's whip and mouthpiece. I must say this thing worked AMAZINGLY! The vapor, even at 430 with fan assist, enabled me to take extra deep lung inhalations with great taste and no irritation!!! Nice cheap option to a water piece and unique in it's own right.:D

So.... I was tired of struggling with the Herbalizer so I just put it aside for a few days and used my Firefly for my concentrates (with Herbie concentrates pad)

Last night- I told myself to clean the screens again and switch them... put down a good dab and I was floored after completing my bowl- Firefly delivers a hotter/harsher hit initially that hits me but with the Herbalizer it's like a blindside hit because when I realize I'm medicated.... Im off raiding my fridge :D

So I really still feel this strongly- the Herbalizer unit itself is WONDERFUL! HOWEVER! The screens/bowl MIGHT need to see some tweaking to get the most out of the device...

Fair enough, my friend.

But my larger point was that, despite other devices that offer "digital read-out" (no names mentioned), that the two devices cited were some of the few (the only?) that I have found that actually produce what they report they are producing.

Keep in mind -- as contrast to that -- my original vape many many years ago (well... many years ago and also it *still* to this date as it hasn't upgraded itself) had an unlabeled potentiometer as some matter of control. So simply slapping some kind of user feedback on a vape does not mean any semblance to an actual measured output.
(i.e., so, YUP, agree yours is a fair statement.)
:)

Ran another session last night on my herbalizer with my piece from Eds. Such great flavor.

I will soon be running a session starting high around 400 degrees or so to see if that gives me a noticeable boost in vapor production, as several people have suggested that is where they see the thick clouds. However, I wa smoking with my girlfriend last night and she preferred to start at a lower temp tonight.

Regardless, it was a very enjoyable session. Using a water tool at lower temps isn't necessary at all with the Herbalizer at lower temps (at least without the fan assist) for me. However, I love the fact that I can use it so easily, so periodically I would hit the fan assist and use the F-bomb, but most times I was just content to take nice long draws with the whip.

virtualpurple,
Guys, what's the most effective and least messy way to use hash in the Herbie? Sandwiched btwn flowers or mesh pads like suggested on page 83?

After using my Lotus exclusively for the past 2-3 weeks, I hit the herbalizer last night.

I don't know how it did it, but I was sailing sky high after splitting a bowl. Just one bowl. If you had told me it was different herb from what I'd been using before, I would have believed you. It was that dramatic of a difference.

This happened to me last night after using portables exclusively for two or three days. Two hits from Herbie and I was rocking. Between the signature change up and the difference in hits it was amazing!

Sorry for the double post but can someone help me figure out how to enter the promo code for 20% off? I can't find it anywhere on the site

@wax as far as I could tell the discount only works on a Herbalizer and not the accessories. You put in in the member id input.

This is correct. From Herbalizer:

the promo code is during check out and there is a box that says "member ID" and that is where to would put in the code.
It is only good for the Herbalizer, not accessories.

Ah bummer. Well the good news is I saved over $50 on an accessory I probably don't need anyways :)

This coupon is a great deal! It beats the massdrop and you can order directly from Herbalizer.
