The Herbalizer

I have noticed that my biggest clouds come on my 3rd or 4th pull. I always get where I want to be though.

That's been my experience as well. Although Herbie heats up incredibly fast, it takes about three long draws before Herbie produces those huge clouds. That's virtually the only thing I dislike about The Herbalizer. Perhaps it's because of the bulb technology and convection that it takes a little longer to get the big clouds IDK...But what I do know, is once Herbie is good and primed you can get huge clouds at the higher temperatures. Herbie hits like a champ and I always get uniform medium brown ABV upon full extraction. I l love this thing!!!

Even if you draw slow enough you can't get vapour on your first hit or two? This is something that I can't even remember from using the device, but a pet peeve of mine from previous vapes like the EQ. It gets tiring priming to get to the good stuff, and the EVO and Nano can give dense vapour off of the first hit, even at low temp. I do imagine however that these primer hits taste awesome.

Just to confirm, the speed of the draw with the Herbie makes no difference? Or is there technique required?

No, I think the initial two or three draws need to be slow to prime Herbie to get maximum clouds. After that, I can huff and puff away with fast or slow draws and totally cloud up a small room. No technique needed!! It's really not that big of a deal IMO..

Biohacker, I never said that you wouldn't get any vapor. My point was that for the first two or three hits the vapor is a little thin compared to other vapes I've used (even at high temperatures). Also, you were correct in your speculation that the initial hits taste awesome.... And I must say, the flavor stays very good throughout the entire session. In fact, I haven't found a vape that was better taste wise than THE Herbalizer.

Almost there...

When i changed the stock tubing to wider diameter tubing i get vapor clouds on the first hit.
Now i am back to the stock tubing and repeating the results.
So i think there is some technique training with regards to draw speed but it is very easily achieved!

Do you not find much improved airflow without the mouthpiece? Although I respect its style, from what I have read here, some are taking it off for a noticeable improvement in airflow?

I wanna support PV as a supporting retailer here, but ofcourse my luck they are out of stock! Shouldn't be long, and the anticipation and the wait are things I sometimes enjoy! lol
Bio I recommend buying through amazon if that's a option for you.(amazon prime membership gets you free 2 day shipping )
Also with the fan the first hit will have quite a bit of vapor

I have never needed 3 hits to get things cranking
Since Herbie heats so fast, I just let it go up to 446.
Then I lower the temp to 377, and the unit, having been preheated to a higher temp cranks right away!
You may notice that it goes to 446 in seconds... but it takes a bit longer to go down to the lower temp you choose.
I start hitting it before it is all the way down, and in that second or two, that it arrives at its lower temp, clouds are available in abundance.

Tried some material shredded by hand instead of the usual medium-fine grind. What a difference that made! It seemed even more flavorful than usual. After 5-6 draws I took out the bowls contents and pinched it to a super fine form. Redistributed in the Herbie bowl I was rewarded with one of the biggest clouds that I have gotten so far. Helped soothe some muscle pains from completing in my first 100k this morning
It's been a week and it still feels like the first day. Not a glimmer of a thought to use another vape or to buy one.
You could say I'm satisfied :clap::rockon:

Amazon prime shipping is great, overnight is only 6.00. I hope the accessories will be sold on amazon soon.

The description of the AArdvark explains it differently.
It is not for flowers at all.
You torch the tip of the oil straw, until it glows... then you actually suck wax/oil/concentrate into the red hot tip that was torched, and the inner walls of the tube act as the nail, as you inhale the hit through water filtration.
The Oil straw is not an inline filter... it is a dab device.
It is not applicable with Herbalizer, unless it is "re-purposed" and used in such manner.
Simba glass chandilier water tool comes with k clip and QUARTZ aardvark oil attachment. Slurp up your oils like an ant eater! To use fill the water tool right above the top slit. Put the aardvark attachment inside and use the k clip to hold it all together. Now your ready to torch the aardvark and slurp up your oil. AND once your done, simply lay the piece down! The sized down mouthpiece keeps your water inside the chamber without spilling out the top!

Hmm.. I've been suspecting my herbie is running cooler.. Anyway I can do a system reset on it?

My firefly gives me more cloudy hits than my herbie... Somethin amiss here?

My balloons always look really wispy- nowhere close to what I'm used seeing from Volcanoes...

all good in the hood.

This is going to sound silly, but I thought my fan was not working. It did not seem to be filling the bag quickly. I cleaned the screen on the magnetic bowl and problem solved. so maybe look at that?

I find this interesting, as it is not my experience at all. My first thought was you needed better meds, but you probably have other vapes for reference, s0 I doubt that's the issue. As with any vape I've had, the second and third hits are a little thicker on Herbie, but I am always surprised at how big my first hit is off Herbie. I get big hits from the get-go.

Herbie is one of only two vapes I've ever had where draw speed just doesn't matter. I have huffed on this vape harder than any other and it keeps up. Or I can do a slow, relaxing draw and get the same results. It's brainless.

Tried some material shredded by hand instead of the usual medium-fine grind. What a difference that made! It seemed even more flavorful than usual.

I find myself posting this more and more, but unground bud tastes better. I have no doubt that grinding knocks off a lot of the terps and weakens the taste. The VAP2 is the best tasting vape I have ever tried, and it uses unground bud. This got me to using unground bud in my other vapes and the taste improved in those as well. I haven't dropped a whole nug in Herbie yet, but now I think I should!

Yes you should and please report back! What was the other vape that draw didn't matter? I assume EVO?

I agree whole buds taste way better, but I just love the convenience of ground bud.

Hmmmmm, now to decide between TorontoVaporizer at 799cdn with a sweet Zeus grinder OR Massdrop? Decisions decisions, first world problems. Lol

Edit: thinking the MD isn't even that great of a deal. But that's because I don't live in the USA! TV here I come!

No, it's defiantly not the bud quality as I only vape top shelf Bud and have run numerous strains through The Herbalizer with similar results. So, I was thinking perhaps my unit runs cooler than others, but that doesn't make sense either as by the 3rd or 4th hit I get huge lung buster hits off this thing(usually at around 430F). IDK, what I'm experiencing with initial vapor production is totally different to what you and Vitolo have experienced. I even tried what Vitolo suggested... heat it up to 445F then back off to 400F or so to start the session. That worked a little better, but still the first 2 or 3 draws were inordinately wispy. Fuck, I'd love to get that thick vapor from the start.

Sticks, can you walk me through how you begin a session with Herbie? I usually loosely pack about .15g in the bowl and I use the standard tubing cut to 2 feet. IDK, would switching to the thicker SSV tubing produce bigger clouds quicker? My initial draw technique is long and slow and I have enormous lung capacity for huge hits. The thing is I'm just not getting those hits from the get go..

I'd even tried starting my session at 445F with the same results go figure...

Fringe Class
Preheat your bowl @ 445F by running fan assist on unpacked bowl until it turns off.
Do it again.
Pack it normal @445F
Put whip in mouth. Turn on fan assist DO NOT INHALE
Wait about 5 seconds until vapor starts leaking from mouth/nose or you feel mouthful of vapor.
Now inhale deeply and Rip it like a champ.

If that does not work, maybe bring it down to Herbalizer HQ and do a comparison or something?
