For you guys who have spent time with the maker, what are they doing/suggesting for using multiple herbs without mingling tastes? That's always been my reservation about using other herbs, is I don't want to deal with all the mixed up tastes. If they are serious about it being used with other herbs, I think they need to address this. Maybe multiple whips and bags? Would the bowl need to be cleaned to eliminate other tastes?
A lot of this comes from condensation. If you use a very small amount, to the point where you don't really see a cloud in the bong, you aren't getting condensation, which means the substances aren't going to stick to anything, which means no lingering flavors, or at least very little. Plus you get more absorption, as a plus, being that that the lungs aren't meant to absorb thick vapor. When you see a cloud, that means condensation is taking place, due to the molecules slowing down, and clumping together which allows light to reflect on the molecules, giving you the image of a cloud.
If they give instructions on how to load the bowl, I don't think lingering, and mixing of taste will be an issue. Remember with vaporizers you don't need that much, and if this is a medical device, they probably aren't going to market it to people who love clouds, just potent effects, so they will probably recommend using very little herb. Just enough to ease their symptoms. The fan will probably give clouds though, due to so much air diluting the vapor, and cooling it down. This also depends on how fast they run the fan, but it will still probably give more clouds then inhaling at a slow rate which brings in very little air to cool down the vapor, if they use very little in the bowl.
