Does anyone know if this seller is legit? its $58.00 for the hammer which is the lowest I have ever seen with out discounts. Its says one year warranty on the heating element, but does not mention being an authorized dealer. Also looks like the first hammer without the lock on stems which is an easy fix since I have extra parts. This was the one my friend was looking to get I just wanted to get some feed back since it looks "Too good to be true"

I would contact the seller to see if it's really a first gen model most likely it's just an old stock photo of the Hammer. Great price and they seem to have good feedback, If i was in the market for the hammer and needed it now I'd probably take the chance.

Isn't there a $69 level on the Indiegogo campaign? Seems like for $11 more you get the newer model, locking stems (no additional kit needed),free shipping, warranty, and supposedly guaranteed delivery before Christmas. Seems like it would be worth the couple weeks wait....

Remember that price on e-bay didn't include shipping which is $7.15, waiting on the pro from indiegogo may be more prudent if they can wait. They did say they would be sending 'em even if the indiegogo thing didn't reach it's goal. I'm in for one HP at $69.

Super bummed the new version will not have a larger butane tank! I absolutely LOVE this vape, and use it often. I would've bought a pro instantly with this new feature, flame lock would have been cool too, but not a dealbreaker. Sadly there doesn't seem to be enough incentive to upgrade.

It honestly sounds like a touch up instead of an upgrade since nothing has been released and I feel if you are satisfied with the hammer these aren't too great of improvements that will make everyone switch over.(as i feel they should) If this is the hammer PRO, I would expect a lot more things. (But we have yet to even see the pro) Mainly the top not getting hot enough, bigger tank (cause honestly the tank lasts me like 3 bowls, which isn't that great for portable use and that's the same with the top getting too hot to put back into my pocket and possibly even hold). A finer screen would be awesome too if that's possible, like the magic flight ones. That way we can get some nice reclaim from the stem.

I guess the better isolated airpath sounds like a good improvement , we would just have to see how much when it comes out. And the heat exchanger has to be redesigned for dabs so it won't drip down (if it does, haven't tried). I guess that might do something to the airflow though.

Something like this as a glass stem would probably get more people to back it too. It makes it look more like a hammer head bubbler. And let's face it, as a portable device a lot of people are going to be turned off by the straight glass stem look when outdoors.

I'd just like the flame lock for the initial heat up.

I have to ask what your technique is, because when I had my Hammer I got way more stems than that from a fill. I used .07g per stem and usually about 20 seconds warmup.
I rarely used any setting but high, because the heat-up time was the thing I liked least.

And let's face it, as a portable device a lot of people are going to be turned off by the straight glass stem look when outdoors.

The Hammer isn't stealthy in any manner. It needs to be warmed up and it makes a noise while you use it. It needs to cool down and isn't easy to put away quickly. Stealth is not its intent, so really I don't see how it looks as much of a detriment.

As far as outdoors goes, I actually think of the Hammer as the ideal camping/hiking device even with the glass stem, and especially if you get a wood stem from Ed. If I still did those things then I never would have parted with mine. It went to someone who does hike and camp and saw it the same way I did.

Pretty sure if I turn the knob anymore it will not light and just spew out butane. Takes me about 20 seconds to heat it up on the highest heat. I hit it a couple more times on that same setting (hold down the trigger while I inhale) And when it starts to get too hot for that (uneven heating, middle is brown, herb on sides green) I turn it down. I pretty much long pulse my draws when using direct. With the waterpipe I pulse until it starts coming out and draw normally. Although I usually can't get a long consistent hit through the bong or possibly even normally without blackening/browning. Unless it's like first or second hit.

Maybe my tank doesn't fill up as much as it used to anymore. I've also purged it a few times. Still won't go back to when I first got it.

Looks like I need to address a few things...

I have muscle problems in my hand. Holding the ignition down is a bit of a disability for me. I have torch lighters with flame locks and I have no problem avoiding house fires. That's just me.

Unfortunately, the Hammer PRO does not have a lock for the igniter. I actually have a couple of samples that you turn on the fuel and then click the button to ignite it. These units stay lit until you turn off the fuel (no need to hold the button). Ultimately we decided that this is a significant hazard and could be a liability to the Hammer.

I think they were having financial issues which is why they would like to do an IG. I can imagine them getting at a point where many had ignitor issues and they couldn't keep up with the demand of complete replacements.

This is not true. Over the past two years, I have had to replace maybe 20 igniters.

All piezo-igniters (no matter how well built) will eventually wear out. But no Hammerhead should be without their favorite tool, so the new *Lifetime Warranty* includes replacement igniters!!! If you don’t abuse you Hammer, it will literally last a lifetime.



Finally... I’ve seen several comments questioning our choice to launch the Hammer PRO on Indiegogo versus a more “traditional” product launch. I wanted to address those comments so that you all can understand our thought process and motivation. Obviously the original Hammer has been in production for two years now… So why are we launching the Hammer PRO on Indiegogo?

We are in good company with several other established vape manufacturers who chose to launch an improved version in this manner. The broad appeal of crowdfunding helps us cast a wide net. You guys are vaporizer enthusiasts who actively seek out new products, but there are still many people out there who have never heard of the Hammer. We are a small company with limited resources and this allows us to speak to a much larger audience.

Of course we could have just released the Hammer PRO direct to our website and distributors, but once the Hammer PRO is widely available we will have to maintain a higher price to avoid undercutting our resellers. So we are using Indiegogo to give you early access… everyone likes a better product at a lower price…. right?

I am a full time glassblower (the Hammer is a second job for me). I do not do this for the money… I do this because I LOVE it! Until the start of this campaign, the Hammer was completely funded by me. I had to melt a lot of glass to pay for the initial tooling costs… But that only covered the most necessary tools. We try to produce as much of the Hammer as possible in the USA, and consequently we still do a lot of things by hand. Now, the company is growing and we need additional capital to continue to operate smoothly.

The Hammer PRO is already happening (Hammer PROs will be delivered to everyone that contributes). All of the funding generated from this campaign will help us to grow our brand by acquiring new tooling and staff - keeping production and assembly here in the USA. Of course it would be amazing to reach our target… but our funding goal is just that… a goal. Even if we do not reach it, I will still consider the campaign a success. The Hammer PRO would not be here without all of you and we are grateful for every bit of your support.

Head tools, I still do not see what the changes were, everything looks identical. Why should we upgrade from the v1? Does the Pro have better temperature control? Does it have better efficiency with butane?

I am not convinced I would notice the improvements, so I am hesitant to get in line for a Pro.

It doesn't want to fire up, I hear a click and hear butane kind of sputtering out and even see what looks like a little cloud of unused butane above the unit but nothing more then that.

Not sure if an air bubble is still trapped or a seal is bad or where to go

any advice?

I always had trouble refilling various butane devices. They'd behave just the way you describe. I found that you must first purge completely (no more hissing) and then make sure that the flame control is dialed to its lowest before refilling. That is the only way I've been able to make it work.

So if I had been messing around with the dial in settings with a nail would that have to be turned down all the way too before refilling?

Love my Hammer with it's waterpipe adapter and whip...gives me so many clouds, on so little bud. And leaves no trace of life behind. It's seriously the darkest AVB I've ever gotten out of any vape without combustion. 100% extraction, dark, dark, dark.
