If its in contact how does it not burn?
They claim that the heater will never get hotter than the desired temperature, and since that temp can't get up past 452 F there won't be combustion. This is a big claim requiring some serious insulation capabilities.
They had a prototype video so long ago I was under the impression the funding was just to produce the product and get it to shelves. It seems like they still had to go in and actually engineer all the stuff they claimed it would feature. Maybe I'm being naive but that's what the original video seemed to indicate. I'm not angry about it, I'm still floored for this pen and much prefer the company to delay and release an incredible product then rush to market like so many other crappy vape companies; just that the original campaign seemed to allude to a much closer speed to market availability.
My thoughts exactly. It takes tons of work to get everything to fit into that little tube and still work, so I thought they pretty much had it all figured out since they had a video of a guy using it. So I don't really understand all these "tweaks" that are taking up the time, amongst purchase of laser welders, etc. But I should probably stop whining and be glad that they're making it better (unless they're just BSing with these adjustment claims).
sorry having a hard believing what i read if the unit uses 30 watts and battery last for 3 hours ?? that would make the battery mah what?
The heater stays at a very low, baseline state (almost off) until you start to pull and the temp goes down again. Then it will heat back up accordingly. That's the beauty of it ... don't need to worry about losing vapor or forgetting to turn it off for a long time. Again, this is consistent with their massive insulation claims.
