they have 3000 to build. there are only about 10 of us or so on here chatting about this. Don't expect them to commit time to us 10 on this board because they are super busy making their fortuneHuh? It takes all of 1 minute to make a post. And do you think the owners of this project are actually hand making each and every one of these that they don't have the time to make a post or two?
I would think that GH is not only busy with production details to satisfy the immediate early adopters, but also very busy laying the foundations for a viable company going forward. It can be a huge undertaking, particularly for a newcomer to big business.they have 3000 to build. there are only about 10 of us or so on here chatting about this. What is it that we so desperately need to know right now that a private PM or email to Trevor can't answer and be reported back to the rest of us? The horse just left the barn a few minutes ago. What could've happened so soon after that we require a news flash? Just sayin, Iwien...you know I lub ya!!!Do you actually think that the ones who have responded to us in the past are actually building them?
Do you think it's outside the realm of possibility that they could just tell someone, anyone that might be just hanging around within shouting distance to give us an update?
They've been here before. If they really think that we're not worth their time, why would they have communicated with us in the first place?
Considering all of the above, what you are saying doesn't make any sense.

sorry, meant their company is busy not trevor personally. If I was Trevor, I'd be doing most of the testing if you get my driftI know Snappo. Just trying to make sure that 2 + 2 still equals 4, if ya know what I mean.
I can totally understand that they may feel that there's nothing new to report so why report anything. That, while I may not agree with it, I could understand. What I can't understand is Shay's post that they're too busy building 3000 units to post here. THAT makes no sense to me, for the reasons I stated above.
Beat me to it , I was thinking the same. Give it a month or so to get some solid news updates, lets hope its sooner.I don't expect any new information for at least a month.
But hopefully we'll get some updates when production actually starts.
Which could be at least a month.

Hey everyone!
We hope all of you are doing well. We've been working hard on the Grasshopper through the holidays and it's looking good. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are implementing a way for confirm your order, update acessories purchases and more. This is taking a little longer than we expected in part because, due to the requests of many of you, we decided to add a lot more functionality. Expect its release by next week. No need to worry we have all your orders safe and sound!
Have a Happy New Year from the Grasshopper team
Kato
Yeah I wasn't sure so I put the ?????? , but I agree I thinks its more for the ordering form.I don't read this as adding functionality to the Grasshopper, but adding functionality to the ordering process. Can't they just use Backerkit?
The maximum operating temperature of an aerogel material depends heavily on its composition. Monolithic silica aerogels remain generally intact until about 700°C, at which point they will begin to sinter (densify). At hotter temperatures, they will eventually melt. Composite aerogel blankets can be used at temperatures upwards of 1000°C.
