It's that old business adage that always comes into play......."Under promise and over deliver."
That's been replaced by a more modern adage..."Over promise, Outsource, Go Public, Cut and Run."

I've learned in my business a lot about "expectation management".
That's when they have been updating
eh maybe, I think I might, but they seem to be sticking to update schedules and not saying much else besides emails. They may even purposely wait for an update to tell everyone they are ready to ship... who knowsWell yeah I get that, but don't you think that if they were ready to ship they would tell us ASAP because of all of the delays before? I don't know, maybe they wouldn't, but if it were me I would let you guys know right away.
I also pre-ordered last month; it's mostly gone into my "Eh, it'll get here sometime" queue. I've backed an assload of Kickstarters and I'm used to forgetting about the thing until it arrives on my doorstep. Once it arrives I'll try it and see how much I like it.
At this point I'm wondering if I'll get the Grasshopper, the Amazon Echo, or the Apple Watch first.
I've got my Echo - still waiting for my (backer) Grasshopper.I also pre-ordered last month; it's mostly gone into my "Eh, it'll get here sometime" queue. As of two updates ago their manufacturer didnt even have any titanium to make the bodies from. I got to imagine unless something drastic happened with them that the Ti units are still a bit far away.My thing at this point is, I just want to see proof that SOMEONE'S unit has shipped.. It also bothers me that no one has even seen a finished Ti unit yet...
Amazon already gave me a shipping date next week.I also pre-ordered last month; it's mostly gone into my "Eh, it'll get here sometime" queue. I would think that Titanium has become a priority order item and will not present as a back order. Titanium is not in short supply. As of two updates ago their manufacturer didnt even have any titanium to make the bodies from. Yeah, but maybe their supplier was having trouble delivering finished Ti bodies to spec?I would think that Titanium has become a priority order item and will not present as a back order. Titanium is not in short supply.

My Echo says May 21-June 5 and my Grasshopper Ti is "May 2015". If they don't have Titanium then they need to get working on it.
Here’s an update for you from the ‘Grasshopper Vaporizer’ team:
1 new Announcement:
Hello Everyone,
Fifteen days have passed since the last update, and much has happened. We’ve continued to solidify bulk component arrival dates, and we’ve worked to improve our assembly equipment to increase our daily assembly capacity.
This update comes at an exciting time, as we are expecting the arrival of bulk machined parts on Wednesday, April 22nd. This delivery will encompass all machined parts for the first production run! We wish that we could show you what thousands of Grasshopper Front Ends looks like today, but we’ll be posting a special update when the shipment arrives. We’re just as excited as you.
Bulk USB cables
We’ve had many questions about the Titanium Edition Grasshopper. We’re pleased to announce that the Titanium parts will be included in the bulk shipment due to arrive next week. The backer ordering sequence will be preserved, and Titanium Grasshoppers will not ship later than their Stainless Steel counterparts.
We’ll have Titanium pictures to you before the next scheduled update on May 1st!
Matt and the Grasshopper Team.
I was hoping for a heater update as well. What do you mean by "printed"?Hmmm "machined" parts... Pretty specific language, I believe that implies that the printed heating elements and potentially the electronics are excluded.. Hope I'm wrong. These guys would make better lawyers then businessmen
I took it to mean, all parts necessary to produce a unit? Given by how excited they seem, I'd hope its that. 0 produced units is not exciting at all aha. Grasshopper team if you read these posts just comment every once in a while ehI was hoping for a heater update as well. What do you mean by "printed"?
