@b0 I love my Elevape too (you meant convection didn't you, that happens so often lol, easy to typo), seems this is going to be a very welcome addition though! I can see using it the most...
Are there any retail stores carrying these units? Or strictly right now it is just for preorder units?
@BuzzDanklin
I wouldn't mind seeing a full picture of the charger. Is it easily pocketable, or does it have a large power converter built into it?
If it isn't easy/feasible to carry the charger around in my pocket then that is a big negative to me.
Also they need to sell battery cases that hold 2 or 4 batteries IMO.
How big of a baggie do you think would be able to carry a charger? I was thinking for a battery, maybe a bluetooth case?I really like the idea of a small little case to carry a few extra batteries in. That seems a little more practical than carrying around the charger. IMO YMMV.
Male USBThanks for the picture, but that doesn't clear anything up for me. I still don't know what the other end looks like.
Is it just a male USB on the other end? Is there a power converter built onto the charger(similar to the bulky square part of a laptop charger)?
Thanks @BuzzDanklin
I know most would rather carry spare batteries, but I would rather carry the charger and just top-up when I need it(situation dependent of course). That charger is definitely not too big for me.
Hopefully GH has plans to sell spare USB chargers. I would like one to keep at home and one to keep in the car that I could grab when I need it.
I think the "brick" protects it from those issues...I know I am gonna sound like a paranoid dude here but I would not charge this in a car or PC port personally, those are like the only two ways E-Cigarettes have exploded by my knowledge, you want a steady wattage/voltage on these types of things, wall plug only for me...
Maybe this works different though, idk, just seems iffy, plus sunlight hitting a metal pen containing a battery seems like a no no in any book...

The e-cig thing really only applies to crappy ego batteries that are produced with overrated cells to begin with, or are related to a bad cell/charger issue. Li-ion batteries are powerful. If they aren't used/treated properly, bad things can always happen.
I can certainly charge my phone from the computer or car without issue(still a Li-ion battery). 5vDC is 5vDC. A laptop's USB port may carry less amperage than a wall adapter, that simply means the attached device would draw less amperage or simply not work.
I never said I would be charging in the sunlight, from computer, or in the car even. I would keep a charge cable in the car for on the go situations. That way I still have a cable at home in case I lost/forgot the other one somewhere, like a friend's house.
I would charge in the car sometimes though, I would just never do so in an unattended or hot car. Same applies to anything I would charge anywhere.
Yes even name brand Ego batteries have that same issue, again it goes back to the cell being over rated or an issue with the charger/hardware itself. It's not the USB port's fault that the battery went postal.Depends, I would wager even egos with built in protection(Name brands) that are dropped or handled enough could go haywire internally if some stuff is knocked loose.
A laptop sure, but there is always a chance no? Like to much current at once randomly? By all means do what you wish, I was just bringing up the possibility of it happening, same can be said about anything, cellphones, mp3 players, etc....
