The grasshopper, as previously stated, is pure convection. It is like the cera in that way. If you've watched their vids you'll see that it took about the same amt of time for decent production. The mighty is a conduction/convection morph whereas your herbs are cooked slightly while covection takes place therfore making your load cash quicker. The advantage of the pure convection aspect is that we should be able to hit some, come back later, and hit some more with no loss of flavor (unlike conduction vapes where you need to finish your load in 1 session becuase a reheat just isn't as tasty) the heat up time, stealth factor, and convective performance should all provide us with a more flavorable and convenient experience then most. If the flavor is on par with Cera let me tell you folks we are in for a delicious treat!

yes. I used to do it with my pax all the time with a fully packed bowl. It's not difficult after being around ecigs, because I go for throat hits on my Mod. All I was trying to state was the cloud looked like it could've been a lot bigger after a year between test vids, although now realizing it was on medium temperature, my views are changing but only slightly

After watching the new grasshopper video for the 2nd,3rd,4th,and 5th time ha-ha. I have no doubt this vaporizer is gonna kick@ss. As Vapemon stated "mid level vaping son". In the video at 1:28 heat setting is at level 3......... got two more heat levels to go. Can't wait!

It's a fact that the setting is medium? I saw them rotate the dial, but figured it was a demonstration of how it works. They run through how to turn on/off, how to change the battery, how to remove the front end, how the dial moves, how the charger clips on, and how fast it heats up. After all that they show usage, but they never show the temperature setting of the usage portion. Is it an assumption because the last temperature setting they show in the features portion is at medium that the usage portion is also at medium or did someone ask?
Emailed Trevor to ask about the cleaning of the herb chamber and the temperature of the mouthpiece.

The chamber cannot be removed now. Making the chamber part of the body was a necessary trade off dictated by manufacturing. We needed to make design changes to produce the unit at scale and this is one of the results of that. Cleaning did get a bit more difficult, but you still will be able to soak the chamber in a cleaning solution. We will show the method for this in a video in the future.
I know it seems like there are some obvious draw backs to the new method, but what was gained was well worth it. More insulation space, better thermal performance, more internal durability and easy manufacturing/assembly were all important pros to this design. I think you'll find that cleaning won't be to bad.
We have worked a long time on keeping the mouth piece cool and have come up with some good solutions. It gets warm after some uses, but it won't burn you.

On a stealth note, it looks the part if you are not using it, handy for transportation, but if you wanted to use it whilst on the move it would look weird to people don't you think? I use my portable vape, which is more e-cig looking, when walking the dog and nobody has looked twice at me, we say good morning etc all good Obviously you could have a crafty toke ok, but not walk past blatant like with some vapes.

Ever see people chew on pens? Or just randomly put them to their mouth? Personally I would not question it if I was walking down the street and saw that, perspective I guess, I think its pretty stealth also in the way where a cop would pass it without a question if searching a car, etc...

@HillaryClinton - Sorry! I didn't think that through very well... I just went back to edit it, but I'm not really sure what to put in there now... Anyways, you kinda get what I mean, right? With all the flashing lights going off while you walk down the street with your pen flashing away. Maybe v2 can come with some Bluetooth speakers, and it can truly be a mobile, mouth-powered convection party!
(I saw some ping-pong ball sized disco balls the other day... they woulda been perfect for the RV, but oh, no, I had to let the CFO see me eyeing them up... woulda been great with the 'hopper

I got it lol, now that I think about it, wasn't there a way to disable the lights? Who mentioned that, was it them or a user, my memory is fading lol.

I did make the point about it's stealth when not in use, think it would def get overlooked if searched. Just think a more conventional 'e-cig' style is more stealthy in use on the go, i have seen people chewing pens, people just don't expect 'smoke' exhaled upon removal
No dissing involved, genuinely interested in this product, especially because i would feel more comfy chucking it in the glove compartment than my current vape, and the super fast heat up time would enable stealth tokes, was just wanting to highlight a pro or a con, depending on how you look at it

I think a penis shaped vaporizer would be stealthy, you know everyone would just stare away once they saw a penis in your mouth probably.

Actually I think it'd be wonderful. Funny is something different. IMO if it meets even a fraction of the claims it could reset the state of the art for sure.
I guess right now I think it's great they're moving forward and we seem near to the time when units will be in owner's hands. The delay is disappointing for sure, hopefully it doesn't also modify our expectations. I'm not impressed with the apparent vapor production, in "best possible light" as it is. It's normal, as Pak says, to use every advantage to 'look good' but it seems pretty thin to me. It'd take me quite a few such hits, and I think I'm generally at the low end of tolerance, by then I bet that cap is getting hot..... Testing will tell.
I'm also not overly impressed by the heat up time. I can see how some might be, it's fast compared to conduction vapes with limited power and large masses. But compared to T1, Evolution or Cera I'm not even sure it's on par. I watched Tim from TV get a pair of very impressive hits from an Evolution on the small Ultra supply (10440, even smaller than here). The first was easily as fast, but much much thicker. The second killed the battery.
Still, over all an impressive effort. Let's hope it proves to be a winning combination of features/compromises.
I'm still sitting on my wallet for now......but watching with increasing interest.
