I live in AZ, so it SHOULD come rather quickly. Def not worth paying for priority. BTW, a extra $10 for priority seems a little steep. Can't weigh much at all.

Don't get me started! It's really chintzy to charge you $10 for what cost them like 6$ Not to mention that they are already paying 3-4 bucks in the first place for 1st class, which was part of the "purchase price"/ backer reward. So they are charging $10 for an upgrade that costs them 2 or 3 bucks more.
Also, GHL sells it as a way to have your packaged insured, yet mine shipped with the stock $50 of coverage.
I paid anyway, knowing it was a bit of a ripoff, and had mine a day sooner than I would have otherwise.

Plus, we need them to stay in business so they can serve all the lifetime warranty claims!

Haha. I just sent one unit back in a small bubble envelope (which is what they sent it to me in). Post Office guy "you pay for the envelope yet?"....me, "nope". He puts the package on the scale, "the envelope is gonna cost more than the postage". I had to grin.

The envelope was $2.67.

I was gonna order today when I saw that the website says april, what a bummer to know that's a lie...

Well I will wait an order a FF2 in the meantime and maybe order the GH after it. Not really sure about the FF2, but I want to have funds just in case.

It's not known that's a lie.
In the past, their estimations have been very optimistic, but until April comes, there's no way of knowing.

If you want a GH get in line, waiting isn't going to get you one any faster.

That was my opinion in March 2015 when I saw @BuzzDanklin's first feedback on the hopper. Once I knew it wasn't "vaporware" and actually existed I preordered one.

Nearly one year later, I'm still waiting. But I have seen the light! I have held a real grasshopper and I know what it's capable of. Having that experience makes me all the more willing to wait my turn in line. Do I want to upgrade to a nice Titanium? Sure! but will? Nah. It's a v1 device, I'll wait until they release a new vaporizer to invest in a fancier model

And to think of how many more people ordered in the past year, makes me all the more happy I preordered when I did.

I'm pretty close to ordering another-would have already, but then my first one broke quickly, and I had second thoughts.
A working GH is an amazing device. It's all I would ever want or need. I still have my doubts about the company who is making it, and whether they can pull this off in the long term. I don't want to have to repeatedly return it under warranty, and I think it's still reasonable at this point to question if the bugs will ever be squashed. So basically, the potential is there, but given the reality, it's still waiting to be proven.

A larger company could buy out the Grasshopper company if they felt it was worth their while. Maybe they could do a better job of manufacturing and producing a product that didn't have so many flaws.

I really hope that something positive happens because eventually I would like to buy one. @BuzzDanklin's video perked my interest.

Didn't get time to post yesterday, but hopper came in two days with their base shipping. Long time coming! Thing rips, but I noticed when you take long, extended drags it tends to heat up. Nothing too bad tho.

Ended the day i ordered. I think pre orders started the following January, but I could be wrong.

12/22/14 was when I received my notice that I could pre-order but I waited until late on the 26th and got my confirmation on the 27th. My invoice says the 27th. So, as far as I know the earliest pre-orders will be 12/22/14. Then they ran into issues with their payment system and closed pre-orders for a bit but reopened them early January.

do you know what is a major factor for getting close? GHL policy against pre-orderers. backers could add more units to their existing order. i really hope that pre-orderers CAN NOT! otherwise we will wait forever.

Just because preorders CAN add hoppers to their orders, does NOT mean they will ship with your original order.

It remains to be seen whether they ship backers' additions before sending out any pre-orders.
Or have all Hoppers now (always?) been calendared according to date of order?

I don't know about backers, but in my email to HL, I was under the impression that any additional pre-orders added, would ship later. I could be wrong though.

i hope you are not wrong. that would be radically unfair if pre-orderer could add more units for his friends so they don't have to wait.

backers could add and receive more units to their existing order. i'm 90% sure about that.

I am sure they could add to their order also. I know backers that ordered 2 or more hoppers initially, received them at the same time, but I do not know if any additional hoppers that were added, actually shipped?

Hopefully some backers that added hoppers to their initial order, can chime in.

backers is not topical at the moment. because GHL are almost done with delivering their orders. important is if pre-orderers can add units to their initial order. maybe someone could try to send an e-mail and ask this? me not, i have bothered them with my e-mails enough already.

Backers are the only ones that have been shipped and they are the ones that would know?, How is that not topical?

As I said earlier, I did email them and asked about adding hoppers and was told "yes, you can" with instruction on how to do so... Then, I added an extra hopper to my order thinking it will not ship with my earlier order because it has a different shipping date.

So yes, my question is for the backers that added to their earlier orders. Did they receive their additional units?
