As I suggested before...wouldn't a hinged lid solve for ease of use? ;)

Definitely. But when stirring I have noticed that the herb leaves the chamber, and I have to repack it every time. If the window opened...and had a slightly taller collar, this could be mitigated...maybe. An H2.2 chamber dealio would be cool too. Pop one out pop one in.

Have to say that the FF customer service is phenominal. After reading the reviews I decided to go ahead and get myself a Christmas present last night. I became concerned that the color I chose may have been out of stock so I called them this morning to find out. Sarah answered and quickly confirmed that all was in good order and then went out of her way to have the shipping dept. send the unit out immediately. Her manner is the most professional I have experienced in a long while.

I just ordered mine. I noticed something interesting on the receipt, the description of the firefly was:
'Phase 3 Labs - Firefly Portable Vaporizer - Silver'

I guess the company name is Phase 3 Labs? I google searched the name and not much came up

Ok lol I feel funny coming here and posting about this since I would expect Sarah C or someone at FF is checking this thread, but I after seeing NjLUVDr posting about calling I had to touch base with FF haha, so I asked if I could pick it up at warehouse (no-go), but I have her my order # and she confirmed it should be going out today.

I paid extra for fedex home delivery (extra $13), so I asked Sarah if FedEx would be faster, she said it was about the same and they're going to refund the $13? Nice surprise, I hope the refund doesn't slow the process as I would gladly pay $13 to get it a day sooner than later haha. At the end I name dropped the forum and told her that everyone was commending their customer service, but yea the grey ones are In Stock and shipping. I placed my order yesterday at 12:45 so let's see if they get me a tracking number today ,,,

Hey mckeen, thanks for posting the pic. Any word from FF regarding this issue?

I have sent them the Picture, don't know what they will do but Sarah C. said they wanted to take care of it as soon as possible before the picture was taken. So we will see.

I just got a call from Sarah C., Firefly and she said this was unacceptable and are sending me a new unit once I send the one I have back. They are sending me a return shipping label FedX once they get a notification that I shipped the #1 unit back they will send a new one. Wow great customer service, this manufacturer rocks.

Wow. That's...disconcerting. Nothing like that with either of my units. That is a pretty dramatic problem. Hopefully it's an isolated incident.

I'm sure FF will respond quickly. Let us know what happens.

They did and they are sending a new unit. I have send mine back first then after they recieve confirmation from Fed X that I shipped they will ship the new one. Sarah C. is a really great rep., they are on top of it. After examining this with better light, the problem is the silicone did not accept the glue well. Where I got her hot
it delaminated. My opinion only.

With customer service as awesome as FF has been providing, being an early adopter isn't a risk...it's an adventure!

I enjoy being an early adopter, when I can afford it. Sarah C. has been excellent to deal with. I don't think I would have a problem recommending this to my friends. Going to my Pax rarely now, who would have thunk.

So basically you are saying that you overheated the device (was it just the one time ?) and as a result I think you are hypothesizing that it cooked the glue. Maybe it wasn't correctly glued in the first place ?

does the seal leak when in use? I understand that it flops around with the lid off, but does it still work with the magnet holding the lid on tight?

It does not leak. I had to hold it up to take picture and after I let go if fell back down. I can use it just like before this happened. Sarah C. at the manufacturers is a great person to deal with. I just love the clouds.

"Man, that just gave me early adopter heartburn. I hate this kind of shit (sending back and blablabla). I wish I would have waited at least a month. Oh well can't train an old dog new tricks — I am who I am. I do feel safe in regards to the manufacturer so that's something".

Sarah did ask me not to use the swabs that came with the unit on the new one...just a heads up! And yes it is a pain, I live in the boonies. Live and never learn.

Do you now have a better idea of why it happened, what caused it and how to avoid it?
