Ended up getting it from NamasteVapes, and they threw in some free stuff and gave me free postage because I asked for it Plus 10% off coupon code which is a promotion running for the next 3 hours. I saved $47 off my order and grabbed a spare battery. Total cost was $337.45 AUD ($314.34 US Dollars)There's some Aussie online stores that sell them but the cheapest I found was from vapeworld.com.
I'm tossing between this and the haze. Might end up getting both.
I grabbed an extra battery in, but until you see the true love and the glimmer in my eye when I approach the area where my Arizer EQ and custom made vape-recycler is set up.. I'll never get tired of having an extended sesh with it.Make sure you get an extra battery. I have a feeling this will be your go to vape around the house too like another poster said. I stopped using my enano. Vapor is much cooler on the firefly and its smooth so no need for a water tool. Plus using a portable is just always more fun/convenient. I don't have an extra battery, but good thing it charges fast.

Amen, brother! Thanks for the warm welcome I look very forward to using it daily!Sure ain't cheap!
At the end of the day, I think I've put in around $350 to the FF? Maybe closer to $400. Somewhere in there. Don't regret a penny of it. All I regret is not being one of the cool, very earliest of adopters, like @mitchgo61.
Here's hoping it works out for you! It sure is a fun toy, and looks like something from the not-too-distant future, which makes it extra cool to play with.
Since you've done your homework, I think you'll find that this vape is everything you expect, including its limitations.
Welcome to the club, dude. May it make your days a little less depressimistic...

I find the vapor hot with the glass stem for the nano, and I love the convenience of a portable. Moving around with the Enano and a water tool gets annoying for me when I just want to kick back and watch a movie.Wow. I haven't heard that one before. Stopped using your log vape entirely? I love my FF, but no way would I ever stop using my Heat Island - that little fucker will NEVER go more than 12 hours without use...
You, sir, must have reached Firefly Nirvana!
When I have the time I'm going to go back and read every page of the thread, but for now.. I have a question that may have already been answered..BTW, I think I found a great fitting case for my FireFly. It's an eGo electronic cigarette case. Not much larger than the vaporizer itself, it seals its (bud bloom) scent acceptably, I can carry it in my pockets, yet it totally protects the unit when dropped, even down a flight of stairs.
Some of them are a better fit and better padded than others. The smaller rubberized ones on eBay with more rectangular edges are what you want, $5 to $10. The FF can be charged in a partially zippered case like a happy vampire in his coffin, and if the cable pulls it to the ground it's fine.
I'm partial to Ryot cases. I use the PackRatz model for my Ascent and FF.When I have the time I'm going to go back and read every page of the thread, but for now.. I have a question that may have already been answered..
What do you guys & girls believe to be the best, most padded case that allows for maybe an extra battery and charger to fit inside? I'm going to go to the local camera store tomorrow and look at nice padded camera cases for a discreet case, but if there is a better option let me know
Is it fairly padded and allows for a bit of extra room or is it just a sleeve?I'm partial to Ryot cases. I use the PackRatz model for my Ascent and FF.
Not really. The Pax made me drool like a dog. The FF doesn't.Interesting. Can anyone here vouch for the Pax at all? ...
It is worth keeping in mind that they've been through at least their share of first gen issues (mostly consistency and performance, not design) so it's been useful to be patient and remember how good the service is....(I've purchased two but been through five, for one example)...
Yep. Good padding, easily cleaned and a foil lined freshness pouch for herb storage. Extra room will be model based. FF is 5.5"x2"x3/4" approx. Is it fairly padded and allows for a bit of extra room or is it just a sleeve?
where can one buy accessories for the firefly in canada so that I don't have to pay crazy shipping? I need more batteries/ the external charger!
by george you are right! free shipping! thanks a ton!Did you try VapeWorld? I may be mis-reading but it looks like they have free shipping to parts of CA.
Hey all!
I don't normally post on vape threads which I don't own yet (to resist the temptations!), but since I've been playing with 3D printed ceramic, I had a bit of a Highdea.....
I don't have a firefly (yet), but is there any sort of WPA for the firefly? If not, can a firefly be used in a vertical angle? I've got an idea for a 3D printed ceramic adapter for the firefly to adapt it to water......
No idea how well it would work, but just throwing it out there to see if there's any interest before I start designing.....
Well I was working on one that replaced the glass in a spare lid with a 14mm male end but I haven't been able to get to it since forever. Were you thinking of just having a cradle with a hole for the mouthpiece? that might actually be better than my design. My firefly seems to work fine in any orientation, however if your grind is fine enough there's a chance you might get plant matter coming out. What's the price like for the ceramic material?
Interesting. Yes! I was thinking about using my 3D scanner to scan a Firefly and create a cradle from the mouthpiece to an 18mm male adapter. The cost for the finished adapter would be between $25 and $30 plus $5 shipping.
Processing time is 1 month for prototypes, but I can prototype the items on my plastic printers first, and then move to ceramic once I've verified the fit (glazing of the ceramic can add up to 1mm variance, so I have concerns about how air-tight it will be).
Ah decisions, do I buy a solo or a firefly for my next portable vape
That doesn't sound all that bad, I was expecting something crazy like the 3d printed metals. Would you incorporate a carb into the ConG? Do you think there'd be any risk of marring the finish with the ceramic? Sorry about all the questions, I just find these kinds of things really interesting. I could lend you my firefly once my daisy arrives if you wanted.
Wow! Are we there already? Printing 3D ceramics? Just wow! I am a little behind with current tech.Naw, ceramic is the only vapor safe material I can have printed currently, It's a glazed glass finish. As long as you don't chip the glaze, you should be fine without damaging the mouthpiece. Although if this is an issue, we could consider lining the cradle with a bit of food-grade silicon.
That's a very generous offer, PM me if you're interested, I'm sure there are others on this thread who would be interested in this accessory. Maybe you can help be my first beta-tester if you have a bubbler and a video camera :-)
