The FC Bubbler by PlanetVape

I'm divided between the Leviathan FC Bubbler and the PV FC Bubbler. The PV shorty is in general closer to my style. I love the can and stand shape and I prefer the dewaar joint... but the Leviathan seems sturdier and perhaps a little more unique, plus honeycomb diffusion :D

What's the ETA on orders for the PV bubbler? It might just come down to whichever comes out first.

Ooooo i'm interested to see another photo of the upcoming prototypes... Scientific glass is a thing of beauty.

Is there a difference in circular vs. hex base or is it simply aesthetic?

I'm not sure but possibly the hex could provide a less chance of a tipping momentum action because of the lack of a curvature which always tends to provide less friction and movement between surfaces. But maybe I'm just high and making up bull and it's all aesthetic like you said. So it comes down to Lamborghini vs Aston Martin in other words, edges vs curves

I was thinking along the same lines kushcabbage... But I'm a man and I like my curves ;)

Curves FTW.

So there are close to 10000 FC users. How many are getting made? Much much much less obviously.

The leviathan FC bubbler wont just be the honeycomb disc diffusion, he said there should also be a showerhead version for ~$30 less. (120 instead of 150)

But there's been no pictures or info, just talk, so we'll see ;)

Which is all fuck yea in my book, because I love this forum. I've got to get both!

Pokebongs, gotta catch them all. ;)

There was also some talk from Vapor Brothers on making a custom FC bubbler.

Yeah its been a much slower progression than this PlanetVape thread, :\. I believe his original promise was July 10th.

What a guy!
I'm really liking the new suggestions I hope the next prototype has a hex base I'd like to see it. I'd also like to see the Pirahna cut. I'm really glad that PV is taking our feedback into account. As a result I feel like I'm getting a custom piece designed for me rather then a piece that's kinda based on our suggestions, but not really.

Also I really really dig the idea of the FC logo on the bottom. Will be cool to look down and see it as the bubbler clears.

Next prototype is in production. Based on feedback, here are the expected changes:
  • Borosilicate Glass – now 3.2mm thick Heavy Wall
  • Piranha Showerhead diffuser
  • Showerhead that is braced at the bottom, but with a wider weld area
  • Showerhead slits cut as far back to glass downstem as possible
  • Strong mouthpiece gooseneck connection at the body with right angle and shoulder
  • Expansion chamber at bottom of gooseneck to prevent splashback
  • Hexagonal base, around 4.75” in diameter makes it very stable even with a heavy vape on top
  • Shortened Gooseneck length, about 9.5 inches tall total, can is about 4” high and about 60mm wide, vapor centric, minimal air space
  • End of mouthpiece is slightly larger and flared for a more natural seal
Logo sizes and placement still up for discussion. The hexagonal base might not work with the FC logo showing up from the bottom due to the angles which are needed. We have some other logo ideas we will present when we get the next prototype to show.

We looked at the reverse showerhead design, it could be done using a dewaar, but it looks like a drag monster. In this video it shows that you need to provide the lift for all the water in the bottom chamber to get lifted before any vapor can enter from underneath. Does anyone have one to confirm?

Once we get the next prototype we will post more pictures, if you want more media for the reverse showerhead just google reverse showerhead.

Yes, pre-orders will be available once a final design is established and pre-ordering is recommended. It will help us gauge how many to build in the production run as well as guarantee that you will receive the FC Bubbler should they sell out.

Ah I didn't read the video heading. Thought this was the new prototype. I've seen reverse showerhead. It's cool and all. If it doesn't raise the price, add weakness or delay production then go for it. I'm fine with a regular showerhead.

I like the design. I'm not set on the reverse design either. Really anything that can create alot of bubbles and force them to share limited space with falling water is great. :)

I can confirm that you do need to lower the surrounding water through reverse pressure betore it gets bubbling, but the suction needed for a hand-held bubbler is not likely that much.

For the logo, I vote for some PV/FC logo on the back of the can (below the gooseneck) with a fancy green F, a simple green c, a simple blue p, and then a fancy blue V.

I usually could care less about the logo, but I wanted to contribute so... ;p

I agree with everything Progress just said,, EXCEPT:"a fancy green F, a simple green c, a simple blue p, and then a fancy blue V". I think it should most definately be a simple green f, and a fancy green C, and a fancy P, and a simple v. I shall expect nothing less.

Great, I've always wanted a pipe with "CP" emblazoned on the side.

Custom Products, man! They make pretty decent paintball stuff, I used to have a nice barrel of theirs, until I got my Kaner Barrel System.

Have one and just love it: with the perc. "occupying" such a volume the amount of water is minimum...so not that much of a drag to lift it in the secomnd chamber IMO. I believe the 60 slits helps ;-)

The reverse shawerhead could add research & development time, since one would have to design the area above the bubbles (where the regular showerhead has a simple/tested can design & lets the focus e on slit patterns).

Don't forget to also have "FuckCombustion.Com" & "PlanetVape.Com" in tiny type print around the base of the can (or "A FuckCombustion.Com & PlanetVape.Com Collaboration" if there is enough space). :D

The labels will be the sandblasted type, so no real color. The fuckcombustion will keep the same font as the top left of this page and we were thinking to put it vertically on the downstem inside the can, sized appropriately facing forward. The PV logo will be on the back of the can and will double as a recommended water fill line indicator. Any thoughts?, we are thinking classy and low key.
