@draakjeszijnlief if you can find a source for it, try Indian Warrior (pedicularis densiflora). Also try wild lettuce extract. Please pm me for a source recommendation here in the U.S. Wild lettuce extract can be very powerful, I have used it for migraine and it has served me very well. I have also used Indian Warrior, which acts as a muscle relaxer. It is tasty, and rather mild in its effects. Both of these herbs have a synergy with cannabis.......

Thank you but i am not in the states. I will ask my herb friend here in the Netherlands.
Thnx!!

You would want to start with very low temps, though the eucalyptus may actually cause an adverse reaction if your lungs are still healing. Maybe try Mullein, it is an herb that helps to heal lung tissue. Mint would also be soothing to irritated tissue.

@draakjeszijnlief I am living in Europe. A popular remedy in France against menstruation pain is Artemisia dracunculus 50mg essential oil (NL: dragon) combined with Pimpinella anisum (NL: anijs) 25mg essential oil. They take this internally 3x/day. In France taking essential oils internally is popular for therapeutic use. In the US and England this practice is not common, they use essential oils mostly externally (massage etc). But keep in mind that a small percentage of essential oils can not be taken internally.

Be careful with essential oils. 50mg is about one drop. 1 milliliter (about 20 drops) is 1000 mg (milligram). Don't confuse milliliter and milligram. You can dilute the essential oils with a base oil when taken internally. I usually dilute with olive oil, because I like the taste. I have used essential oils internally (for me and my animals) for about 30 years. You can also vape essential oils. You need a vaporizer with temperature control and able to vaporize at low temperatures. For me it works best when essential oils are diluted with pure vegetable glycerin. Costs about 1.5 euro per 100 ml in Europe.

Essential oils are made (or should be made) from fresh plants and contain the most volatile compounds of these plants. The problem with vaping the dried herbs therapeutically is that most of the beneficial volatile compounds have disappeared during the drying process. Depending on the drying process the loss can be anywhere between 40 and 95% of the monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, phenolic compounds etc. I vape all kind of dried herbs but mostly for recreational use.

Just wanted to add a couple of words of safety advice if you are considering vaping essential oils for health reasons.
There is no magic therapeutic cure that works for everyone. Doesnt matter if your medicine is plant based or synthetically made. In my experience there are three groups of people: the ones for whom the medicine is really working, the ones for whom it works a little bit, and the ones for whom it doesnt work at all (or even has very negative effects on health)
I have 11 dogs and live on a farm which is infested with ticks. I use 6 different essential oils to protect them against ticks and sandflies. Some of my dogs, all the same breed, react badly on tea tree oil or geranium oil. Others have no problem at all, even seem to like the smell. I always start with very tiny amounts of the oil and then observe their behavior for several days. The oil that works best with many dogs isnt even an essentail oil but a fat oil: Nigella sativa. A couple of drops in their food and on their hair does wonders against ticks. But I would never guarantee that it will work for your dog.
If you decide to self medicate, you take 100% resposibility for your own health. You should realize that a little bottle of 10ml essential oil can be deadly. Even smaller amounts can kill. Even oils that are considered safe like lavender.
But taken in very small doses they can be very beneficial for your health. The therapeutic effects can differ if you vape an oil, ingest an oil or use it on your skin. Vaping gives usually very fast effects, but can sometimes be very harsh on your throat.
Even after using oils for a very long time, I am always very careful. Plants use oils in many ways, from communication with insects for pollination, to scaring away herbivores that would otherwise eat the plant.
There are a lot of not so honest suppliers out there. Some oils are extremely expensive, and what is easier than pouring a bit of cheap synthetic aromatic into a natural essential oil. Some of the oils I use I harvest and distill myself but it is a big job...
A last thing. Personally I wouldnt recommend vaping essential oils for recreational use. Vape the dried herb instead.

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Does anyone here knows something to vape for menstrual cramps? :tinfoil:
Drinking Chamomile tea helps some people.

Chamomile flowers are considered vapable, But getting a good source for freshly dried is a thing.:2c: Also some vapes, like say many portables might get the extracted oil permeate in the vape. Some just don't like it. I have a Flowermate that toasts it up no prob.:p But it could clog a PAX. Another consideration is what is the lower temp range of your vape. :hmm:

If you plan to venture. I would like to know if vaping it would reduce cramps. It does take the edge off a little for me to keep it around.

My EQ has some glass bowls and wands that can be changed out for anything vapable.Plus the lower temp range options. A consideration when trying to vape a new-to-you herb.

Natural German Chamomile dried for tea worked fine if I cut it up with the shotglass and scissors method. If it still has it's natural oils, then it is worth drinking or vaping. I don't bother with store bought teas. Usually the bulk bin at a Co-op.

Tea Tree Oil sounds dangerous to vape. Was that your question? Not the best thing to take internally. But IDK. Did check the WebMD site.

Hello, Pardon me if it has been mentioned earlier in this thread, havent really had time to read through all of it today, but Im reading it little by little, Although I am wondering if there are any confirmed online stores that sell quality organic herbs to vape.

I mean I can google search it, but Id rather take the word from you guys since we all share a common interest and know what we want. I can also go to a real life store, but I wouldnt know if theyre organics are really organic.

What do you guys/gals vape for lung and throat irritation? For soothing and healing, if I can mix it with cannabis and vape it at the same time that would be a plus. Currently vaping Cannabis at 170°....Thanks to @kellya86 he gave me a place to start.

Hello @TheMadDabber glad you found the thread.
Don't know of any online stores to rec'd off hand. Some places have been mentioned here on the thread internationally. Much less a brand?

Freshly dried product is what I'm after. Less shelf life and being transported. Really depends on what you are getting. But you do want the essential oils and vitality of whatever you are vaping.

What is your local store like? Where abouts are you? If you can answer any questions about the source of whatever you are trying, then you can narrow it down.

Cannabis generally vapes at a higher temp for extraction than other materials. There is some mention of that in the thread including a few of my posts.

Keep reading the thread and a few leads to your questions will be answered. It is usually a good rule of thumb to read about 20 pages of a thread to skim the material enough to help.
Only 21 in this thread altogether. Then a lot of this will see less vague anyway.

I've vaped mints and other 'teas' for throat irritation and to trigger the endocabanoid system. or that's the theory. Even tried a cold remedy for a stem bath that helped me with bronchitis.
Steam counts as vapor, right?

I had chronic BAD monthly cramps that ruined my life for decades. I rubbed pennyroyal on my abdomen but that knocked me totally out. I destroyed my digestive system with Aleve and Advil. Then while trying to cure migraine, I took massive doses of magnesium chloride. Still got migraines but the cramps were totally CURED! WTF is wrong with our dox that such an obvious solution never occurs to them. Cramps are from a calcium magnesium imbalance. Pain killers do not fix that. YMMV and good luck.

what herbs help with memory, focus and alertness? because i want to be able to study after a good bud session..
Memory is magnified when the experience or specific of study is interesting, significant, and relevant to YOU. No herb can guarantee a lasting imprint... you must find a way to give relevant significance to the specific study you engage in. There is no magic herb or pill. That said, you don't want to be so over-buzzed that lasting impressions can't be made. keep it light, enjoyable, and only a small part of the overall experience. Even a nice cup of tea that tastes wonderful to you while studying will enhance the study experience and help to cement the memory of it.

I want to say taking ginkgo biloba helped my memory but I forgot to keep taking it. So there goes that theory. :haw: There is some dietary considerations like cutting back sugar, if you want to enhance the synapse activity.

Well said @Snappo. :nod:Taking a pause off a sip of tea alone can be enough to add an impression while studying. Although, truthfully I love coffee. Mint helps me feel refreshed.
You are better not overstimulating and perhaps choosing a quiet environment with little distraction. Try to be well rested beforehand and get lost in the subject matter. Even being choosy about light and posture can contribute. :2c:

really, tho. I use doobie for memory, focus, and alertness and energy in the morning. sativas / sativa-leaning hybrids. Then switch to more relaxing strains later in the day when you don't want to be as alert. The right strain will help you study, a counter-productive strain will work against studying even if you caffeine up or find other helpful herbs.

yeah, I've enjoyed the kava kava, sometimes a little too much :)

I would not have found it conducive to studying, the experience can potentially be referred to as being
'kava drunk', although I may just have been prone to overindulging.
