I haven't heard anything about Aussie units. I emailed VXL before Christmas to confirm address and get myself on the mailing list for updates (since I wasn't getting them, even though they had my address and knew my unit didn't work, since I reported it dead on day one), back when release was supposed to happen in time for Christmas somehow, and I haven't heard a thing from them since. Just terrible service and communication, especially after holding my money 18 months with no working product, and me supposedly being a "special" customer for buying the $1K "Fanatic" pack. :/
I would have returned it ages ago but for import tax and shipping losses I'd accrue, nervousness about breaking the giant hydratube during shipping, and general laziness (plus not wanting to have gone through this whole wait for no benefit). Now after this long I'm so soured on the whole matter, product and company both, that I'm worried this is never going to get to a point where I feel this was worth my time, money, and extreme patience. They may repeatedly say otherwise, but their behaviour over a long period demonstrates that VXL clearly doesn't care about anything outside the US. This is the sort of contempt I'd expect from a company like
TRVB, and that's a pretty damning comparison...
