McCain ran against Obama in his first election. He would probably qualify as more of a liberal. On the other hand his running mate

But he's worked hard to fight against "overdoses". I wish I was a moderator and followed up with "How many marijuana overdose deaths were there in the US over the last 240 years anyway?"lol get asked about marijuana and what its done for Colorado... talk about income inequality... makes sense kasich
haha yea I was baffled at that too... like come on, not one thing he said was actually related to marijuanaBut he's worked hard to fight against "overdoses". I wish I was a moderator and followed up with "How many marijuana overdose deaths were there in the US over the last 240 years anyway?"
Idiots, all of them.

haha very true... I was saying to my bud how crazy I was going to go if I heard "and thats why my plan.." or some variation again by the end... it was ridiculous, 90% of the questions got responses that were repeating the same facts about their plans that were said over and over... and the constant yelling to get a word in because they were mentioned when half the time they weren't and they were strictly trying to get another 30 sec to repeat more about their plan and not even address what was being discussedHell, for the most part, no one answered ANY of the questions that was originally asked. They just went on with their own agenda and talking points as if a question was never asked in the first place.
With that said though, I was embarrassed for CNBC for that was the most amateurish run debate that I have ever seen.
The above quote of Rand Paul from last night's debate is a total lie! Congress passes laws that spend money. Obama can sign them or not. Obama has no power to borrow and spend. That's Congress' job. The debt ceiling does not authorize any spending, it merely raises a borrowing limit so the Congress can pay for the bills they have already passed. For years repubs have been saying don't 'give Obama a blank check'. That is complete and utter bullshit! Congress determines what to spend money on and how much. The president can sign or veto, those are his only choices - agree or disagree with the spending enacted by a republican congress. How many more times is Rand Paul going to repeat this lie? And maybe more disturbing than the lie itself, what does he hope to achieve with it? What sort of calculations would spur a candidate to tell such an obvious lie? I don't believe for a second that Rand Paul believes his own deception. Apparently his presumption is there is a segment of republican voters so thick and so ignorant that they are fooled by this lie, he feels that this constituency of dunces is gettable for him, and since nobody in the repub camp ever questions it he can get away with it without any ill effect. And why do the debate moderators and the media just let this pass? It defies understanding why they get a pass with this great big fucking lie.PAUL: You know, I left my medical practice and ran for office because I was concerned about an $18 trillion debt. We borrow a million dollars a minute. Now, on the floor of the Congress, the Washington establishment from both parties puts forward a bill that will explode the deficit. It allows President Obama to borrow unlimited amounts of money.
I will stand firm. I will spend every ounce of energy to stop it. I will begin tomorrow to filibuster it. And I ask everyone in America to call Congress tomorrow and say enough is enough; no more debt.

It's crazy. They control the purse but they keep shouting "don't let Obama make us spend again!" Lol
