heyhey,

the TETRAx is 510 threaded and works best coupled with tubomyevic firmware, distributed on shop.lamart.ch. it can also work with other TC mods/modes or in power/wattage mode.

introducing the TETRA heater consisting of 4 borosilicate glass tubes and 4 stainless steel 316L coils (instead of 3 in TUBOevic/-x heaters). the heater can be found in the TETRAx which is substituting for the TUBOx and also it will be present in 40 TUBO DUAL units that are currently being built.

the tetra heater is a bit more responsive than tubo triple heater. it has even more airflow (in case that was a problem haha) and the most important; it supplies more uniform heat.
the housing and the cable/connector stay the same.

thanks for looking :D

2 questions:

1) do you have a price in mind?

2) can I buy the first production model?
price will be a bit higher than TUBOx. starting out for the base wood options (poplar/beech/pine) at $155.

and the first production models are already on its way, however i do have a small number of prebuilt units that i will post on the store very soon.

Hello. What is the lifespan of the coils? Are they easily replaced? Thank you!

I can't quite answer that of course, but I can tell you they are not like e-cig coils. They are part of the heater wrapped through the glass, I would not think they could be easily replaced nor should they ever need to be as I understand it...

Well worn
I had the glorious opportunity to try the Tetra in Spain this year and I have wanted to mention it for a while.
Coming from someone that has had the Tubo for a long time, the Tetra is indeed a significant improvement in @funkyjunky's already powerful heater...if I recall correctly. :brow:

I’ve got one of these bad boys being built right now! Can’t wait to try it out. This will be my first 510 vape, so I’m sure there will be a learning curve, but I’m looking forward to it.

Also - these are in regular production now, right? Maybe time to move this thread out from the “upcoming” section?

I have been using mine for about a week now, and I'm really digging it. I have not been able to update the firmware on either of my my 510 units to the Tubo firmware, even though both should be supported. That being said, wattage mode suits me just fine right now.

Heats up really fast, even heating, and a great form factor.

Could we see some clouds and abv? That could be just enough to have my VAS on hyperdrive!

Yeah, I'll try to post some tonight. I'm still a little sick, so I'm not going to get a full milk shot, but I'll show some lower temp stuff. (44-45 watts)

At 44.5 watts, I get light brown ABV, and no chance of combustion. At 50 watts, I get medium-dark brown. Haven't played much with anything higher.

If anyone already has a Tubo and is curious about the Tetra heater, I'd highly recommend grabbing one of these X's to compliment it if you are wondering if it's worth it... I just got a new exotic custom Tubo Dual with the Tetra heater coming from the original Tubo and I can already tell that it is its own experience. Plus you get more nice wood variety to choose from

Beautiful! Have you considered a design without the cable go between that one can attach directly to 510 mod?

Yesterday, I ordered the Tubo Tetra X vaporizer (Mahogany) with long bent glass stem, & an optional 18mm WPA. Interestingly, 10 Tetra X units came online at exactly 3:00pm (East coast) yesterday with multiple wood choices. I very much like the fact that the Tubo is encased in wood so minimising the possibilty of unintentional burns. The safety issue becomes salient watching Troy unfortunately burn himself with the popular but now unavailable all-glass vape. Now comes the month-long wait.
