Tetra P80

Mr. White

Be good or be good at it.
That's exactly right! Thanksd for that extremely arcane, but also very useful information for me. Apparently it also resets to 370, 380, 390 if you try to change the temp while in Cruise mode.

Anyway I'm loving my P80 still, just knocked out another bowl. Thought I'd share some pics. My order got doubled up and I got cancelled out on Acrylic 90, but two days later Ralph offered my a second chance for Acrylic 81. I would have never picked it, but I ended up liking it a lot

Didn't you order the bendy ? I prefer that one to the nub and tank, by far.
That being said, it looks like the nub/tank work better with coarse grind. With medium grind I'd use the bendy, always.
I’m certain I ordered a tank and nub, lol. I’m a big native user and originally thought way back when I first heard about the P80 and decided I would eventually get one, a nub would suffice. More recently it was like “tank” in many posts. So that’s what I ordered, 110% certain. I know about the bendy and didn’t think it was for me. I’ll learn and live and live and learn. If all fails an accessory order will be placed to get a bendy or other option elsewhere. I have other external glass options I can try. Can’t wait to try the P80 though! :peace:

Finally got to use Acrylic 92 from the last drop. After a crazy move relocating from one coast to the other, not vaping or smoking for 30 days, and buying my first home, it was really great. Solo session on cruise. I’ll post some pictures once I get settled. Have to say, Ralph really does make a great/premium device.

You're right, there are so many options for those 18mm stems. You can even try the P80 with a XL8R stem but (at least from the one I have) the shape is quite different, so that the load could be significantly closer to the heater when using a Lamart stem.

So do 19/19 stems not work with Lamart devices? I assumed it was completely fine and snug. I’ve seen posts on here of them but maybe those were 19/22?

both of them will work well...according to my experience!

Not a Vapman “beta tester”
But both lock into place?
Pretty much any 19 stem works fine with the P80. I've used RBT 19/19s, Tanks, Nubs, bendy stem, @Vlad the Inhaler 's terrific vigreaux cooling stems, StemPod stems. All work fine. It's a bit more flexible than with some RBT vapes that will only take 19/19s. Lately i've been using @funkyjunky 's own capsule stem and enjoying it a lot.

Both will lock correctly : the P80 will work with all kinds of stems. Only thing is that distance to the heater may vary, but won't necessarily affect performances.
It is more versatile than the Splinter (Z), where I cannot use the Lamart bendy as it doesn't want to lock.

Yes, exactly. For some reason, RBT vapes could be a bit trickier when using other stems such as Lamarts.

What stem is that in your fw7?
That's a good question. I was supposed to get a Toggen Cooling Stem for Dynavap from SourceVapes when I got a replacement for my defective Alpine 2021 IH. On the website they list the Toggen Cooling Stem as looking just like clone of the BB6. Instead they sent me this. It's really a great stem. It fits in the FW7 with the airport straight down. Usually I cover the airport with my thumb at first and then open it up at the end of a long draw. I just find that it stays a little cooler than the Hula stem. It does stick out a bit( 3/4" ), but I don't really do "extreme sports" with my FW7 so I'm not worried about that.

The 19/19 will fit, the joint is just shorter so you end up with the load a little farther away from the heater.
And the 19/19 will have little bit of a wobble if you tap it. But I find of lot of 19/22 stems have a bit of a wobble as well. Doesn't really affect performance, it forms a nice seal around the top. I use my XL8Rs and Vigreaux stems mostly in my P80.

Question to everyone. What's your battery life with the P80? I guess I get around two bowls if start low and ramp up gently. Takes quite a while to heat up the Tetra to get up to "cruising" speed with just one 18650. I might be unhappy about that if Tetra wasn't the most amazing heater I've experienced. Compared to my Milana, Splinters and even Splinter Z this thing just doesn't create hot spots in my herb. Whatever magic is in there I'm loving this thing, even if the battery life is crap.

Hmmm now I might have to get a Tubo Tetra Dual...

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Potential wobble is due to variance in all glass connections, hit or miss piece to piece, can happen with wood, not universal

Little update on the minivap baskets. They work really well, however don't fit all the way properly. The fit doesn't negatively affect anything or touch the heater screen. Fits more herb than the standard basket screens and easier to keep clean than joint packing.

This is also how I prefer to vape, and I have the same battery life. It helps not to use the warm up mode, and just be patient for the first few puffs.
I have a feeling if I go immediately to the final temp I might squeeze a 3rd bowl out of the battery, but I really like to enjoy the flavor on the low temps for a while. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My custom just came in! What’s the best way to post pics here?
IMGUR.com

I just joined. See post above this and below yours - that’s how it’s done (single pic I just copied the image link into the post - in a different thread & it worked!). I’ll soon post pics of my P80 too when it gets here. I just hope it arrives before I go on vacation in a couple of weeks. :peace:
