I hope I haven’t broken my p80? This thing is amazing, well done sir!!! 👍🏽
I am pretty sure you are all good ,mate. I've done this a few times, there is nothing irreversable,if you dont like the results ,you can always dial back to the original setting.
The P80s have the heater hard wired to the mod, which should give very stable resistance readings ,unlike 510 connection, where there is variation from mod to mod, which. also happens with oxidizing of the connections :). So i would rather try to max the temp scale and be in peace with the number displayed ,before trying to make lower temp settings hotter. (hope that is making sense)
I hope you mean 0.003 .Just keep the steps small 0.001 and you will be all good ;) .

yes you are fine.

the reason for me advising against tuning the resistance from the given recommended value is that it also interferes with the warmup and eco modes, if you deviate too much from the recommended value they will not work properly. as shitsnacks said, its better to play a bit with just the temperature and the amount of preheating the device with either warmup mode (triple click) or letting it cruise for 30seconds, or compensate with higher temperature for the first draws.

again this is for the all in one units. tetrax is as said deviating from the recommended value because of how the different models read the resistance differently. however it also makes sense to not immediately tune the resistance if nothing happens on the first draw since the heater needs a draw or two to get to the displayed temperature if using from cold device.

"didn't do anything" does sound like a different symptom, also I think the X is definitely different regardless. Sometimes there are mistakes, in calibration before it goes out, but I think that is rare and I would have waited for the manufacturer to tell me to do so first, personally of course!
Ah my bad for not reading before your message, i just saw the part about not touching your resistance haha

better everything you say?

I was lucky enough to sneak in an order for a custom P80 on the last drop. It’s been a while since I got a new vape and I am enjoying the anticipation

tell me the TetraX P80 tastes even better than the miniVAP. I want to savor the VAS (vape anticipation syndrome) lol
I think the tinymight(I assume the Tetra is similar based on all reports) is on part at the lower Temps. The wood smell of the vape body throws me off. The minivap is my favorite raw, I've never used this raw yet. You can get very flavorful hits at max temp. Max temp on the minivap is about a 5-5.5 on this.

I'm going to probably get my minivap repaired, but it looks like money is better spent on the tinymight/tetra P80. Looks like these two are the best on the market now from all I've seen. Tetra P80 is my next hope. I'm hoping I can get in on the new drop and get the P80 after my exams as a reward for my hard work when I pass.

I have both and not sure I'd give up one for the other. They serve different purposes.

As it is usually just me, P80 gets picked more. It is fast extraction and a punch to the face, I am done after a 3min cruise. I tee up the MV for when I want an extended session or when it is more suitable for passing amongst friends.

The minivap has a stupid long battery life. But the extraction capability is not as high. Since one battery is $100. I'd rather just buy that many replaceable batteries. I bet in session mode, using $100 worth of battery like the minivap, it's similar.

For me personally, since I stir with the minivap, and the tetra has easier accessories (the minivap without the Delrin adapter would NOT be cool to me and it's unavailable.) the P80 is an all in one device to me.

I think minivap needs something new to compete with the three current titans.

I get as much extraction as I want with the mV. take some strains to dark brown. I’ve tested it by tossing abv in the EVO or FP. it’s done. I’m hoping the P80 can do it faster though! Also I don’t stir or use the battery. Different strokes I guess, or maybe your mV has been broken for a while.

enough about that though, I am really hyped to get one of these little beauties. Patience has always been a challenge for me

That's exactly what I'm saying it can do. The minivap on red would take me a long while to max extract still.

You can get desktop levels of extraction here. It's a stronger and more consistent heater.

I think the minivap is a good comparison as it's a previous top tier vape. Mine has been broken only recently. Docked the glass version of it into a bong and knocked it over. The Teflon version had a loose screw that won't let it catch with the charger.

You should be hype. We're in an amazing age of vape tech now. My vapes breaking allowed me to jump head first in with no regrets and I am HAPPY it happened.

This is a high demand low supply vape so ya.... Sometimes just gotta talk it out til ya get one.

Hey guys, so I’ve playing around with the p80 for a few days, and I feel like I’m doing something wrong! I am packing the basket screen with a light tamp down, then warm up mode to 205c and use on-demand mode after warm up, I go all the way up to 235c-240 and my AVB is still light compared to a mighty? I know there different vapes the mighty being conduction and convention, while the p80 is all convection. Is this normal with convection vapes? Should I now turn up the resistance? Or should I just go higher in temp? In the manual it says combustion is at 240c, and I haven’t combusted. I am loving the vape, just wish I could figure out how to get darker AVB. I’ve tried packing in the joint as well, and again I get light AVB.

you might not be taking long enough draws. the heater loves it if you force a lot of air through it, the faster the better actually.

try the following: 230C, warmup mode. pack a basket screen while it warms up. once it cruises take a lung full with high airflow. the draw should at least be around 10 to 15 seconds long. you should end up with a nice cloud. after 4 or so draws like this your abv should look brown.

full convection can leave the avb lighter while extracting the goodies. that said the heater will have no problem roasting at the right temp and enough airflow.

you can combust at 240c if the heater is well prewarmed and you take slow draws but its more a guideline than an exact point.

joint load will require higher temperature to get the same roast as in a basket screen since the load is farther away from the heater.

you can see if it solves the problem if you increase the resistance if you cant make it work with fast hard draws

Thanks for the tips dude they worked! Now I’m baked as fuck haha. Thanks again for a great device

So guys, I don’t why but I had it in my head that the p80 doesn’t taste as good as the Tinymight. So last night I used the tinymight and I can report in my opinion the p80 does in fact taste better. It is such a good vaporizer they both are, but the p80 is really amazing. With the correct technique it is my new favourite vaporizer and I think the tinymight compliments nicely. I just wanted to share my thoughts

Ya thanks, now I feel even worse.

Haha, jk can't wait to compare the two.

Can anyone help? My friend used my tetra and now the temperature keeps fluctuating between 0-800 Fahrenheit sporadically for no reason, and the power seems to be stuck at 1w. But when its not heating up it looks normal, temp at 390 and power at 70w. only when i activate on demand or cruise or warmup it starts wigging out.

Is there a way to reset to factory default settings?
that is fucked up
I will probably have to try to reset the cuboid from scratch, but i dont understand what setting could possible have messed it up like this. Everything seems fine until you try to heat it up and the temperature keeps flying randomly from 0-900F.

Hey guys, I got my p80 through today from the last drop. Cannot wait to use it. They forgot to ship it with a battery, do you guys know if LG HG2s are okay to use with this device. I must say it is a thing of beauty.
I rotate through 4 LG HG 2 Average one A-day Yeah I use it constantly with various different stems and also use a Whip from my globe I slide it over the tip of the Nub stem and like a lot they they all give a different experience for me IMOHabout:)

I have the same problem with mine and a P80 mod every once in a while. It usually gets better by restarting on demand time two or three times.

But yeah, as others have said it's better to take it to the TETRAx thread ;)

Average one [battery] A-day
I feel like a fiend... I am going through 3-4 batteries a day.
I love my P80!

I am infatuated with the vapes I have brought into my collection and cannot believe I am about to admit that my eNano, my Lotus, the Ambit and the MV1 are all just collecting dust. Even my MV is being used less and less, especially with the lack of any group sessions since COVID started. The P80 is carrying ALL the weight in this household!
