You mean the nub itself gets hot or also the vapor that comes out?

What's the glass stem/nub/mouthpiece that produces the coolest vapor with the P80?

Thanks

Yeah I find the nub itself gets really hot, especially the mouthpiece tip since its short (my lips touching the wide part below gets REALLY hot) with back to back hits ripping it on upper temps... It works great for me with other slow sip vapes though, very nice design overall.

The shorty spiky is nice because it has rings around it to help absorb heat, so the last bit for your lips stays cool and can be held with fingers by the ring... I do love the long spiky too (I have a custom) though it isn't quite as cooling or compact, but the plain long bent stem is also pretty fantastic.

I LOVE my mini j hook and use it with many other vapes as well. It has more of a bend than the bent stems so offers more cooling despite no spikes... And say what you will about whips, it actually seems to cool the best of all in my experience! And the wrapped ones from lamart are super nice too

Customer service continues to impress.

Had an issue with there not being a shipping option during the last drop and was unable to purchase despite being ready as soon as it dropped. Sent an email after a few tries while it was still in stock and they managed to get it fixed, but before I finish check out it sells out.

I asked if I could still order since there were technical difficulties on their end and they said they could but with the caveat that my build will be made after everyone else’s.

I’m more than happy with the solution provided and soon will be the proud owner of a mahogany tetra p80.

I don't have the p80, but I do have the tetrax and for me, the long bent glass stem is probably my favorite. I also have the short spiked bent stem and the nub. The nub is way too close for my liking and is the hottest of the three. The short spike stem is great and probably the coolest but I just like the size of the long bent stem. I have my tetra rubber banded to my mod essentially like how the p80 is, and that long glass stem just feels the best imo, where you aren't so close to the device. I'm sure the long bent spiked stem would be even better. Just my take on it.

EDIT: After retesting I think the long bent glass stem is slightly cooler than the short spiked bent stem. I do however love using the nub in my splinter Z.

Could someone please post a side by side pic of the options?

Curious how much larger the Long bent versus the short spike.

Kinda surprised no comments mention the wooden stems as being a favorite...

Some time ago there was a lot of talk about the A-maze cooler, but I haven't heard about it since.

Every day I'm between the TETRA P80 and the Tinymight and can't make up my mind because there's so much hype on both sides... :p

I have one in here a few pages back, sorry but the thread is still short enough so I don't feel bad telling you to check lol It's about an inch or so shorter, but smaller overall with a more aggressive spike pattern...

I have wooden stems from Ed and Alan, but I never really use them... Probably would if they had the glass liner lamart offers, I would also really like to try the a-maze cooler they way... Never had any s&b capsules so that aspect was never appealing to me either.

Anyone have an idea on how to change values on the firmwares Eco cruise so the heater engages quicker once a draw is detected? I'd say there's around a 3-5 second delay before the heater re-engages which is too long IMO.

Thanks!

I think value 1 is the less eco one so it may more sensitive to the draw. And I would suggest that when you in eco mode, you can draw few second to activate the green light, then breathe and draw again, that should fix the problem you had. ;)

P.S. in case you are talking about how to change the value: click fire+up > menus > Vaping >Ecolvl > 0-3

tks;)

i have my Tp80 at almost 3 weeks and now I realized that in eco mode the heater is activated by draw.
In my case (eco value 1) is almost immediate....:tup:

From here:

"eco feature tries to detect draws in cruise mode and safe energy in between. simulated draw sensor. set eco-level in 'menu>vaping>Ecolevel'.

0: no eco-mode, this is identical with the original cruise mode. heater heats to desired temperature and stays there all the time.
1: heater temperature is lowered some (linear relation ship of desired temp) when no draw is detected.
2: heater temperature is lowered more than in eco-level 1 when no draw is detected.
3: heater temperature is always lowered to 135°C/275°F when no draw is detected."

finally got all my custom options i wanted added. added a wooden stem, nub cooler mouth piece, whip, mouthpiece for the whip....if this vape lives up to the hype...which i am totally confident it will. you will be seeing quite a few vapes from me for sale in the classifieds.

Seemingly once every 2 weeks so far since P80 has been released. I would keep a close eye out for @Padriano emails. It is well worthwhile. Love this device the more I use it.
You own and have owned *a lot* of vapes. Does the ordering in your signature mean that you like the TETRA P80 more than your TetraX, Weedscents, Vapcaps, and all the vapes in your "Past Devices" list?

Hmmm not particularly but I do see what you mean.

If I ordered my signature like that, the P80 would be first :D (maybe I will edit my signature now...)

I think if I only had to pick one vape, it'd be the P80... it has a lot of versatility. Capable of big rips or nice small tasty ones. Any draw speed works well. Cruise mode makes it work easy for noobs... it's extremely capable. It's also a good deal more portable than the OG Tubos (which I carried everywhere with me, including daily to work, and on some 12hour road trips)

I also think the Tetra heater is quicker than the tri Tubo heater. I seem to be able to pull vapor out of a fresh load using straight cruise mode quicker than I remember - but I no longer have my OG Tubos to compare...

I guess I maybe "honeymooning" still but I'm pretty confident that I'll still feel this way in a few months unless the landscape of dry-herb vapes manges to change significantly in that time.

I am super interested in the P80 and would love to make an order if I ever get the chance. I have one concern tho - how long do the coils last? I'm sorry if this is really ignorant but I've never used a box mod vape before. AFAIK coils eventually burn out and need to be replaced. Do the coils in the Tetra have an average life span? And when they die, how are they replaced? Or am I way off and the coils in the Tetra are different, and could potentially last the entire life of the vaporizer? Sorry if this is a noob question, just curious.

Thanks for any help! :peace:

Many years...
Stainless steel coils won't get rusted just by tiny amount of air (21% of the air is oxygen molecules, the natural convection inside the tubes is almost negligible). If stored not in very humid place like a bathroom for example...

Good to know! My only experience with coils is with atomizers for wax pens etc. and they just up and die randomly all the time. Not even talking about rust or anything... but I'm sure that's just the nature of atomizers and not necessarily coils in general. I'm guessing these SS coils in the Tetra are much more robust and would actually take rust and corrosion to actually kill them - unlike cheap atomizers that can die on their own.

Yeah and this is nothing like an atomizer pen coil, where you load concentrate directly into the coil, while those need to be replaced regularly, this will never need to be replaced (unless defective or damaged, in which case warranty has you covered, at least full repair for a fee)
