I finally got to test the TB last weekend.
I only had one session with it, but that was enough to make me get the concept – even the cup (which I had a very hard time to understand). I'm not even sure its goal is to make things stealthy, but rather to create a form factor that does not look like a bong, pipe or e cigarette. I totally see it trying to be perceived more as a medical device or wellness gadget and less a piece of a subculture. I don't need a cup while vaping, but it doesn't get in your way either, so...
The instant heat up is awesome and even kind of puzzled me at the beginning because I couldn't believe it; I'm coming from the Tinymight which is also a very quick machine, but this is another level – and the vapor is exceptionally smooth and cool, even at the highest level I didn't experience the slightest scratchiness. Remarkable indeed. That smoothness makes it very easy to inhale deep and long, always a plus.
Just as the Tinymight the TB is very good at portraiting the flavor profile of a strain. Not quite as terp heavy and bright as the TM, though, which also extracts quite a bit faster than the TB. But anyway, those two devices are, while both being top notch, extremely different in nature. The TM is much more versatile due to its resizable chamber, more flexible by having stepless temp settings. The TB on the other hand is super easy to use, more streamlined, more Apple like.
While I don't think this is a device for me, I really really like it. Many devices have tried to go that route and failed in one point or another, but his thingy works really well while remaining to be elegant and simple to use. Hope the quality will match the price in the long run too – it is a tad pricey in my opinion, not so much in terms of „Is it really worth that much?“ but „Will the target audience actually be willing to pay that much?”.
One small improvement I'd like to see is a brush instead of that metal poker, I found it pretty useless to clean the capsules with. I'm also not sure how long those plexi cups will look nice, would prefer glass too (which would make it heavier and breakable too, though).
Anyway, thx to
@deadlytoaster for giving me the opportunity to test, highly appreciated!
