Can you post a pic of what was damaged by ISO?
it wasnt damaged from iso alone.. it must be thing thing that it was too hot..if from water or warm iso..
i will post when i have time for it.
Edit: i cant understand it because by vaping it is hotter than boiling water. maybe it is the combination from liquid substance that may then peel off the silver coating

I finally got to test the TB last weekend.

I only had one session with it, but that was enough to make me get the concept – even the cup (which I had a very hard time to understand). I'm not even sure its goal is to make things stealthy, but rather to create a form factor that does not look like a bong, pipe or e cigarette. I totally see it trying to be perceived more as a medical device or wellness gadget and less a piece of a subculture. I don't need a cup while vaping, but it doesn't get in your way either, so...

The instant heat up is awesome and even kind of puzzled me at the beginning because I couldn't believe it; I'm coming from the Tinymight which is also a very quick machine, but this is another level – and the vapor is exceptionally smooth and cool, even at the highest level I didn't experience the slightest scratchiness. Remarkable indeed. That smoothness makes it very easy to inhale deep and long, always a plus.

Just as the Tinymight the TB is very good at portraiting the flavor profile of a strain. Not quite as terp heavy and bright as the TM, though, which also extracts quite a bit faster than the TB. But anyway, those two devices are, while both being top notch, extremely different in nature. The TM is much more versatile due to its resizable chamber, more flexible by having stepless temp settings. The TB on the other hand is super easy to use, more streamlined, more Apple like.

While I don't think this is a device for me, I really really like it. Many devices have tried to go that route and failed in one point or another, but his thingy works really well while remaining to be elegant and simple to use. Hope the quality will match the price in the long run too – it is a tad pricey in my opinion, not so much in terms of „Is it really worth that much?“ but „Will the target audience actually be willing to pay that much?”.

One small improvement I'd like to see is a brush instead of that metal poker, I found it pretty useless to clean the capsules with. I'm also not sure how long those plexi cups will look nice, would prefer glass too (which would make it heavier and breakable too, though).

Anyway, thx to @deadlytoaster for giving me the opportunity to test, highly appreciated!

as i said it looks better the way it is with the coating. But I would think it would be better if it weren't on it from the start so that it would be easier to clean, for example with warm water or iso heated from the outside. I would of course think stainless steel would be even better then you could put the stem in the dishwasher;)
but i love the bowle very much better than my TM`s because it is so smooth and cool and the simplicity at all, for now i use it much more than my hopper

I've been reading similar feedback about the TB from many people, but I still don't get it.

I mean, I sometimes get a scratchy throat and cough a bit when taking big hits from my Crafty+ via a Rattle Can bubbler filled with warm water (for extra humidity).

Could the TB's dry stem somehow be even smoother than that?

Thanks

If it would be possible to connect the TB to a glass piece or any kind of water filtration, it wouldn't add any smoothness to it. It's that good as it is.

The Bowle comes with two brushes.

Ah, didn't know that. Would be cool if you could hide those in the base like the pokers.

This is one of the reasons I have problems with the earlier statement about TB R&D and being a step back. Other than the glorious cup implementation and super intuitive user interface which I love, I see two major design innovations/decisions that I love:

1) The cooling stems with built in heat sinks to cool the vapor. As many have said, it is remarkable to get vapor this cool and this thick without making use of water for cooling.

2) The heater being above the pot, with airflow going from the top down into the stem. Keeps flower from touching anything related to the heating element, which means little to no need to clean anything but stem and pot.

Not to mention all the R&D required to submit this for medical device approval (where the greater flexibility some of us quite like may be seen as a negative, since simplicity is a virtue for more widespread adoption).

IMO a lot of the smoothness of the Bowle is largely due to slower vapor production compared to other devices. When actually inhaling, I thought my Mighty produces more vapor in less time than the Bowle I tried, but that also made the mighty vapor feel harsher to me than the Bowle.

At first I thought it was due to the cooling stem, but it doesn't get dirty fast enough to me to be pulling as big of a workload as I first assumed. To me the smoothness is by design at the temperature control level.

Wow, George across the pond is listing replacement Bowle silicone stem mouthpieces

No option for USA shipping, though, IME. Because we're fucked here
Man would love to buy some, I used mine so much it collapses on itself even with a light draw. I have to use flat MP which is touch and go !

I did not expect to see this as the damage you referred to.
I never stopped to think that there might be a "powder coat" on the TB.
It makes me think that you may have had a combination accident... perhaps a drop at just the right angle, found a spot where the powder coat
had not become one with the metal.
I have seen a separation like this on a powder coated silver DBV in a small similar spot.
This separated coating material may have been an unintentional spot of grease, or oil introduction just prior to the finish was put on.
The hot water/alcohol combination may have exacerbated this peeling, but I have a suspicion that your stem may have lost that patch of coating eventually anyway.
Now we know more about the construction.... I believe that your peeling stem is a candidate for warranty replacement.

I’d contact Tafée about that ... doesn’t seem normal from normal cleaning

I think as far as Quality control is concerned they definitely would like to see it and make sure it’s not a manufacturing defect. Contact em.

my english is not the best, because of that i cant it describe so good i will.

i think it is normal. because the first time it happens when the stem was inserted in iso and only briefly soaked in hot water. then I saw some little of spots that burst but when it dries it can press down again and it sticks again. if you touch the bursted flecks one, if it is damp you can wipe it off. I also never had a combination of water and iso used. the first time it was only iso 99% and briefly lay with water. now at the 2nd time it was iso in a cup with the stem and the cup was in a pot with hot water inside

I’d contact Tafée about that ... doesn’t seem normal from normal cleaning
but it dont happens when i lay 12 hours in iso only when it gets hot after short time
Edit: maybe it is only allowed to clean with cold iso or water..i dont know

I don't know if one can use the powder coat (paint) to touch-up an area.
In this process there is heat application involved.
Powder coating is a process of painting metal with a powdered, textured paint finish and baking it to a fluid state to bond it to the metal surface. Powder coating has many advantages over traditional liquid coating: It's better for the environment, applies thicker without running, and is easy to style with. Although certain aspects of powder coating can be tricky, it's certainly not difficult, especially for an enterprising soul. Proper cleaning and tools can be the difference between an amateur and a good powder coating job.

I remain dimwitted. I am unable to find this on the Tafee website. My mouthpiece is starting to look a little funky. Probably because I let my foul mouth wife use it.

Just kidding honey !! No, really - just kidding. Please put the knife down !!

In my opinion you should write Them... That IS For Sure a warranty Claim... And I am Sure they are also Happy to know about this problem...

Your english IS good enough... You told US also your Problem and WE understood IT... Send Them also Fotos...

i find IT Not acceptable For such an expensive vape... also I do Not know what I should think about this Paint Job... If IT IS a good decission to use in a vape...

i cleaned my stem Yesterday rinsed IT with warm/hot water from water Tap... Cleaned stem mostly INSIDE.. Know I am Not Sure If the coating INSIDE the stem did get Off..
