That's why I love this vape so much with hash, even if the material you're using is very sticky or melting, it gonna be easy to clean up, just drop the stem and the bowl in iso. Also you won't run the risk of having the stuff melt, drop in the heater like with the majority of vapes that have their heater right under the bowl and create a nightmare to clean up.If you freeze your bubble then run it through a fine kitchen microplaner it will produce good surface area. Freeze the planer too so it doesn't defrost the bubble as you grind it. If your stuff is too high quality it might turn liquid as you vape it but at least with bowle's design it's a loss but not a disaster.
Awesome points ! I’m already feeling the upside down heating system! Sounds ....well .....like true convection! That's why I love this vape so much with hash, even if the material you're using is very sticky or melting, it gonna be easy to clean up, just drop the stem and the bowl in iso. Let's all feel that upside down heating love, amen @Djsleepy
Stoner question alert!
Is the Bowle heater design really upside down?
Or is it the first fuckin' upside right vape?
Well... Sticky bricks, prrl neo (although nothing a true vape), Elev8r, etc
The more I want this vape, the more I also realize how many friends that this could be the vape that changes their minds. People who want a drink(tea, cocktail, water, or whatever) but don't want to worry about getting everything situated...wish there was a deal
Agree, been thinking the same thing.. It seems so user friendly. The cup is just an accessory, if you don't want it on the vape take it off or buy it without the cup. From a futurist point of view, the modular design of the Bowle is genius with endless creative opportunity. The first cup iteration is just the tip of the iceberg. The more I want this vape, the more I also realize how many friends that this could be the vape that changes their minds. Why not "normalize" glass/bongs while they're at it? It's just a method of added filtration and cooling effect, seems like any normie would want those options.I wouldn’t expect a glass bong attachment whatsoever, I think that goes completely against their attempt at “normalization” and is why we never saw such adapters for Mighty or Minivap until third party releases.

My minivap came with gong attachment kit, from the company not 3rd party FYI.
So far everyone who owns and have tested the unit loves the way it sits in their hands and on the table. This is the reason I would not want to use this vape. I do not want that cup on it....it is a less than desirable way to use the vape in my opinion. Having my own cup/glass for my drink is much better all the way around for many reasons. And I would rather have the vape be as small as possible and or its shape not be used how it is.
That said, I am very much interested in it's heating and general interior design.
What type of battery does it have? 3000maH+ li-po?
I came back to say that after receiving some acrylic glasses over Christmas I'm not as opposed to them as they don't affect taste like I remember a typical plastic restaurant glass does. Mine aren't even that high quality (national Lampoon's moose mugs) but they work good for egg nog and sparkling apple juice so I imagine the Bowle cup would be just fine and possibly better. There is an actual glass version I am 100% sure I saw @stickstones using one. But it's in prototype stage and they are guaging demand.
The plastic drinkware is acrylic and a high quality one that looks like glass. It does not feel like plasticky plastic to me, more like a cost effective alternative to a much expensive glass. I'm enjoying it using it every other session.
If you look at the design of the drinkware you'll notice it'll take some ingenuity to mass produce such a non symmetrical glass blow... Yes it can be done but if folks think prices are steep now (I don't) then wait until a glass mod is priced for a surprise.
Take a moment to look at their pricing properly..it is not crazy.
$69 USD or $100 CAD (not their fault Canadian Petro dollars have been blowing in the wind) is for both the acrylic potter and the acrylic drinkware.
That is not expensive at all in the least.
Think about it.... Most vaporizers come with just one permanent heating chamber housing a stuck on single ceramic or steel oven/bowl.
In the Potter you receive 4 ceramic zirconium pots. One is already included inside the puck and attached stem which technically means your receive 5 pots.
No way each of those pots cost less than $2 USD. I know because I work with ceramic suppliers in Europe and Asia. Ceramic zirconium is very pricy at the moment.
So you get $8 USD worth of just ceramic pots.
The stainless steel stir tool included in the kit looks machined and should cost between $3-$4 USD in production.
They acrylic potter grinder should be between $5 - $9 USD in production. That totals between $16 to $20 in just parts alone for the Potter.
The drinkware I would estimate at $4 USD per unit.
But taking its size I would factor in Shipping, packaging and sales cost say another $10 USD per unit.
So let's say a total of $34 USD production and sales cost for the acrylic potter and acrylic drinkware which they currently retail for $69.
I've seen a lot of pricing thresholds go crazy but these guys are in my opinion underpriced.
Yes I would always love to play cheaper but then you end up with companies trying to cut corners and squeeze dollars which make for diminishing returns quick.
My bet is that they are playing the volume game cautiously. If things go fairly okay and they don't sell them by the boatload they'll be okay but not gouge their customers heartless.
If things go really really well and they sell by the boatload they can simply drop prices down further because cost margins will be probably better and they can tempt the dollar stingy shoppers.
These guys are priced well for a startup with probably low volumes out the gate. The guys behind this don't seem like delusional out of touch suits.
I hear you bro, same here.. fighting the good fight since the 90's and now we're a fully federally Legal country. Now we have too many bongs in the stores haha..What would be a good way of normalizing bongs that hasn’t been tried in the last 30 years? I like the idea, I just don’t see the game plan. We’ve had a medical cannabis program since 1996 here in California and only in the last few years have things changed that you can even call a water pipe a bong, used to get kicked out of the store for using those words. So it’s a little more normalized than it used to be, but only for people already shopping for bongs. To me, normalization is Whoopi Goldberg chiefin a Bowle on The View. A comment I made in this thread earlier in the year was about how one can normalize the equipment as much as they want, but the biggest stigma is still pulling out a big fat stinky bud to grind in front of grandma. And I don’t mean the stoner grandmas who I’ve vaped dabs with.
Maybe this sounds oversimplified but I honestly think the idea with this vape is you would just take a sip from the cup to cool your throat.
The full user manual is a good reference for questions like this... https://tafee.com/download/Tafee - Full Operating Manual.pdfWhat type of battery does it have? 3000maH+ li-po?
Speaking of certifications, can someone post a picture of the base of the unit with all certs? One of them has to be for waterproofing re the cup accessory.
Kind of cool that the Bowle has won a bunch of design awards too. Don't know much about the awards but they look like they're fairly notable. Good job on Tafee's part re normalization. These look like awards for everyday companies, Dyson etc not just some lame canna related awards.

Sooo how does she rip?! Stoked to hear what you think of the Bowle. Was not anticipating arrival until tomorrow... Christmas keeps on giving and my Bowle just landed!
Thanks Sticks for turning me onto MiniVap all those years ago, I cant wait to take this next step with Bowle!

As far as 'small as possible' is concerned, this doesn't sound like it was made with that in mind.
As you know, there are a ton of 'small' as possible devices to choose from that will allow you hide your vape in your pocket.
It doesn't seem this device is really aimed at the mass traditional juvenile user looking to toke while on the go.
Funny I am yet to find anywhere where Tafée calls the Bowle a 'vaporizer'. I've looked through and I can't find one. That in itself is a subtle message.
They've abandoned the traditional word that has been bastardized by pocket friendly vape pens and disposable liquid heating thingys.
They've abandoned conventional design for something divergent, clearly controversial.
The key for me to understand this design was when I googled the word 'Bowle'.
Looking through the images you will get some sense of where they are coming from.
If none of those images of Bowles tickle you then you know the drinkware ain't the one for you.
Then I'd be looking to get the current limited options of the device without the drinkware for the around the home experience like @guyonthecouch explained.
I've resorted to not trying to overthink idealogics or read too much into intent and just use the product if it suits your lifestyle or use case. If it doesn't thankfully there's tons of other options for everyone.
