I think your calculation is quite accurateActually, I put together a list (bill of materials) to make this bong. Not $50. I'm not sure the dimensions of the wood (6" square? 8"? Thickness?)
prices below are USD
500ml Heavy Wall 2 Neck Round Bottom Flask 36.19 Downstem Percolator (6") - 6 slit 9.31 Downstem Percolator (6") - matrix (plus shipping) 6.99 In-Hose DIFFUSER [I'm not sure how to order this] Mouthpiece 10 6MM term perls (glass balls) - [He includes 3,4,5,and 6mm balls, but this line is for 6mm] 9.99 Bottles for beads 5.99 Cage 2"x6"x2' walnut or cherry board (1.5" board would likely work too) 55.56 3/4" x 3' oak dowel 7.43 Double ended screws 7.79 Sticky pad for bottom 9.97 4 feet 5.49 4 acorn nuts 8.99 Whip hose (8mm/12mm) 12.59 Whip angled connector 16.99 203.28
Sure, you may not need everything on this list and the wood board is pricey. You also need a router and other tools to make the stand. Also, the included downstems are much better quality than what I've included in the list. You could easily shave a few bucks off the list, but overall, the cost for the product from Canada seems reasonable, if you like the product and the extras you get with the product.
Cheaper build:
500ml Heavy Wall 2 Neck Round Bottom Flask 36.19 Downstem Percolator (6") - matrix (plus shipping) 6.99 Mouthpiece 10 Cage 1" x 6" x 1' oak board 11.98 3/4" x 3' oak dowel 7.43 Double ended screws 7.79 Sticky pad for bottom 9.97 4 feet 5.49 4 acorn nuts 8.99 Whip hose (8mm/12mm) 12.59 Whip angled connector 16.99 136.73
A fun DIY project for sure! If you have a shop.
$152 USD shipped for the tabletop vase :-) to the USA is a pretty decent deal, actually.
Hey! I use 250 ml and 500 ml laboratory roundbottoms too. Lee‘s videos inspired me and made me courious about those.I decided to order an FC-199 to use as my tabletop bong, but...
I also decided to make a clone of the actual TableTop Bong. I've order the parts from Amazon and some from Aliexpress.
I just received the 500ml flask. I got the one with three 19mm joints, so I can have a carb. I also ordered a solid 19mm penny stopper. I have a pass-though thingy, but I wanted one less thing to put into the chain.
I was pretty surprised how small the 500ml flask is, but 500ml is 500ml.
I'm debating which frame to build; the Bong or Orb version. Once it's done, I'll post a link to a blog page on what I ordered and how I put it all together.
So, any thoughts on the Bong or Orb frame?
Interesting. Thanks. Can you post of pic of how you clamp down the 500ml?Hey! I use 250 ml and 500 ml laboratory roundbottoms too. Lee‘s videos inspired me and made me courious about those.
Got mine from laborxing, China.
I have to say these flasks are by far the thickest and heaviest bongs i‘ve ever head. It keeps up with my Ehle bong. The joints on my Herborizer sphere look fragile, compared to the lab glass.
The difference to Tabletop-Lee‘s flasks are the joints. I choose NS 29,3 mm for the downstem of the 500 ml, 19 mm for the hose and two 19 mm on the 250ml flask.
I don’t use a housing to hold it. I got a microphone table clamp. Works great, pretty stable.![]()
I tried, but it doesn’t seem to work.Interesting. Thanks. Can you post of pic of how you clamp down the 500ml?
Maybe you can just pm me the linkI tried, but it doesn’t seem to work.

I don’t understand it. I can see the pictures, i uploadedStill no images. Keep trying; you’ll get it!
As long as i have tables or chairs around, i can attach it. It lives 99% on our living room table, as my all purpose vaping centerpiece.I see the images now. thanks. Very interesting approach, but not very portable around the house.
