I still don't get the point of the second stem. How is it practical? What am I missing?
This is the TRUTH!!!the Supreme obliterates through even the most dense buds!
Yes. One of the weak points of the Supreme. This vape reminds me of those Heinz ketchup commercials, "Good things come to those who wait".The ability to maintain a temperature
Agree to disagree. Glass stems all the way for this guy. Even combined w/ my 14mm bong, I don't find the draw restriction bad. This is all personal & subjective of course.I'm back on the stock aluminum tubes... the glass tubes are okay, but that slight reduction in airflow kinda kills it for me. Just needs a slightly larger inner diameter to match the aluminum.
Yes, true, but....I'll save that one for later. I have a few pictures of the setups I've been using & a couple videos as well I'll post later this week. Lots of thoughts & opinions. Suffice to say, no buyer's remorse here. Lovin' it! Thanks again for your help BH.The convection mode is for flavour savour

A couple reasons, but like we said, it's all personal preference. I'll post more about it when I drop the pics.Curious, why do you prefer the glass stems over stock? Personal preference forsure, but I can tell pretty easily the difference in airflow
True, but I don't find it time consuming or a hassle. Plus, I used to have a Vapo Pocket Vape, so I guess I'm kinda used to it.with the glass I gotta make sure they are small enough to fit
Ooooh baby! I wanna see this. Can't wait!I now use a claissen adapter with stopper as a carb, so my supreme now stays put. Super easy to reheat too!
So a new day, and a new discovery....I had originally ordered 2 of the straight glass Vapolution stems to use with the Supreme, and was planning to cut them down someday. Then @VAPEHUNTER offered some for sale that were already cut ( I am pretty sure he ordered bent stems and cut them as opposed to the straight stems I ordered), so I bought a couple of those, and put away the ones I had for another day.
I wanted to try to shorten the 18mm set up I had made (couple posts back) as much as possible, and decided that with my new found glass cutting ability and bit of knowledge, I would go ahead and finally cut those long stems I had. And I could shorten them a by about 1/3" on the end that goes into the silicone, which is why I was anxious to try it.
When comparing stems to decide on length, I noticed it.......these straight stems I had were made of really thin glass. Much thinner than the stems I got from @VAPEHUNTER (remember--he used bent stems). Which made the inside of the tube (THE BOWL) noticeably larger......and the draw restriction was significantly less!!! By quite a bit. That has always been the issue with these glass tubes to me----- the draw restriction! The aluminum bowls/stem don't have as much issue with this, unless you pack them too tight.
These 2 straight stems I have are darn near as thin walled as the aluminum. They really are thin. I know they will be fragile, but I feel like this is a huge improvement. I don't want thick walled glass here. Better airflow is king for me. If I break these, I can easily make more (another bonus).
So I got out the dremel and safety gear, and BAM, I had them both cut in minutes. It is really so easy to cut this glass I am amazed. Then I polished the edges with my torch, another 15 seconds each or so, and I had 2 more glass bowls.
I put the shorter one onto my 18mm glass stem, and now have a 4 1/2 inch or so stem for the Supreme! And I can load quite a bit more without restricting the draw, and it hits EVEN better because of the improvement in draw. I am probably going to take another 1/3" off the 18mm stem portion so I can have this down to about 4 inches total.
My Supreme is now actually performing better with this thin glass. Makes a large difference. The draw restriction with this particular glass is identical to what I experience with the original aluminum tubes.
I just want to stress that the draw restriction improvement seems dramatic to me. The setup I have now is absolutely perfect.
SO, going forward, I suppose a design consideration that I can now say is critical will be the thickness of the glass used for the bowl portion. Ideally, the thinner here the better, but I understand breakage will still have to considered as well.
P.S.....none of this is meant to be any kind of slight toward the tubes I got from @VAPEHUNTER...they were perfect in every way!!!! ....I'm just pointing out the difference in the thickness of the glass...
You nutball!Never had an issue with airflow with the glass stems from vapolution
@biohacker I should of asked, what glass stem(s) are you using. The bent bowl stems Vapehunter used to cut are thicker than the straight glass stems. Big difference in restriction between the two IMO. justvapin talked about it in the SV3 gongs thread & having used both now I agree 100% w/ what he says.
Dude, you crack me up. On the next page of the SV3 gongs thread this is said.
You nutball!
I picked up a bunch from @VAPEHUNTER and just assumed they were the same....
Don't feel shitty. Your a hell of a guy Vapehunter! Now we know about the difference in thicknesses. That's the good part. The fact that you even bothered in the 1st place speaks to your character. Add in the fact you sent Pete Seattle your Supreme to use. Your a hell of a nice guy. Maybe, too nice...Well that sucks man! I feel kinda shitty about sending out thick walled stems to our little community here. When I bought them I had no idea there were different types.
Not if your downstem can accommodate it. Easy as fuck to pull out after your done. I posted this a couple pages back for @tatbock. You need to start keeping up w/ this thread again. Too much time over at the VL forum ? Just bustin' your chops.I guess the stem really doesn't need cutting?
Lol. Just a little. I've never tried stem milk before. Might do it tonight after work w/ a buddy. Hoping it's an ass kicker! 4 EFFECTS!!!But damn, you got some use out of it eh!?
I actually clean my glass & stems spotless everyday or two. Well, except my 2 "testing" stems that is.I clean my glass for every 1-2g I put through it.
Thanks. Then like that shit mayne! I'm trying to get enough trophy points to pick up some accessories from the new FC gift shop.nice video man!
The Supreme comes standard w/ a aluminium stem. You can also use a Vapolution 2.0 9mm straight glass stem as it's the same diameter & the thickness is close to the same as the stock aluminum stem.I still can't figure out what constitutes a Supreme stem.
Switching things up & have been using the convection setup the last couple days w/ my Sup & have a question.
Do most convection devices that can hold more than a couple hits all give up the flavor in the 1st hit or two ? Everytime the flavor starts to disappear after that 1st hit or two, the material still has plenty of life left in it. Is this just the nature of the beast w/ larger loads & convection heating ?
Well that sucks man! I feel kinda shitty about sending out thick walled stems to our little community here. When I bought them from Gotvape.com they only had one style, the bent stem. I had no idea there were different types.
I'm gonna be wrapped up in "real life" for the next few months but as soon as shit calms down and I have some free time I'd gladly order some thin stems for us. If we buy more than 10 they are only 3 bucks each and you know I'll hook you up on the shipping.
And concentrates conduction style in the Supreme are the absolute shit!
Nice man glad it worked for you. I had quite a few that turned out like this@VAPEHUNTER I did it! Thanks to your instructions

I now have a cut glass stem I can use w/ my j-hooks & banger hanger. Goddamn, this is the vape that just keeps giving.
Fucked up the 1st attempt, but the 2nd one came out almost perfect. Sanded it down a little & then flame polished it w/ the torch. Now I have a stem that can fit more material than the stock stem. PARTY BOWL!!! No ass kissing here, seriously, thank you @VAPEHUNTER! I don't have a dremel tool so your instructions proved invaluable.
