I got some from Ali too, but I've noticed that the ones I bought from Ali are more "flexible" than the ones supplied by Sticky. And so are much less reusable
Other things that can make a difference:
I use a simple torch (brand "honest", see Honest Lighter), with a fairly long, thin flame.
This was my first thought on the heat. Do your other bricks have a restrictor disc installed?

I have a question, I noticed that you position the flame so that it fits into the intake. What is the height is your straight intake? It looks gigantic from here, with my OG (last gen) if I do as in your video, I burn easily (without the restrictor disc). I guess that the straight intake were reduced when the restrictor disc was introduced? or on the OG reissue? my OG straight intake is 60mm heigh, it works well without a restrictor disc but I never put the flame directly into the intake tube, it just grazes the top (with a torch roughly similar to yours).
I find the Junior quite different from the Runt. We often see the Junior compared to the NOVA, probably due to the lid for secure and close the brick, but for me the NOVA looks more like a Runt than a Junior. In fact, the NOVA draw resistance with standard dimples stem (so a smaller than a Runt) is quite similar to that of the Runt with a smooth longer mouthpiece in terms of cooling, I find them quite similar on this point and the size of the Runt is much closer to the NOVA than to the Junior, which is much smaller in this respect. The junior is actually the smallest brick I own (sorry it's night here and I can't take a picture). The NOVA is a damn good mix between a Runt and a Junior, it's a fantastic brick! It's simply a Runt in a Junior design (I find easy one-handed handling)

You will probably have to adapt your drawing technique in comparison with the Runt, as the distance is shorter and the steam is hotter. But I'd say the draws are faster because there's less distance (the low height probably has something to do with it too).
I haven't had much experience with the Junior so I won't be able to help you much with the mouthpiece because I'm quite sensitive to Padauk wood, so I use my Junior exclusively on a water filter. I find it excels in WPA (you can leave the top part on the glass and easily remove the bowl).
I prefer the NOVA to the Junior and I prefer the Runt to the NOVA, if it makes sense (but it's a personal opinion).
It seems to me that you already own a NOVA? so I don't think it will be of any use to you? why not use the NOVA for hiking? If you're looking for something truly portable, you should take a look at Retrosteam Cuban, which is simply fantastic and perhaps less expensive than a Junior, depending on the type of wood you want
Have you put a Runt intake on your Junior? Yours seems deeper than the other pics I've seen. If so, can you still put the lid on?Well, I understand, Whatever the case, Junior will give you a different feel for your Runt/NOVA, but despite its small size it's still very pleasant and powerful

No, on my previous picture it's the original mouthpiece that I received with my Junior. If you invert the mouthpiece as in the last picture, you will have to put it back in the position shown in second picture to close the lid

It's not weird. I haven't gotten a new Brick since the Twist but they are still as awesome as they ever were. I still use one brick or another every day, even with ballvapes, etc. I hope they're just planning something new and awesome, but that depleted store is a sad sight indeed.
Unfortunately you'd have to find a used one, they only had one run because they sold out so fast the bank labeled it suspicious and froze their funds!
