Yes, but it's hard to tell if it's slightly charred, or a little dirty like you tried a concentrate in there. Mine has a little charring from early learning, no harm other than to my pride and it's appearance.

I’ve never used concentrates, just dry herb. I’ve tried to clean it with a cotton and a bit of water and no change, but I guess this happened because I’ve combusted a few times.

Guys, I was firing up my Jr and, due to my poor aim, ended up burning the wood part under the mouth a little bit. It’s not a problem, right? It can’t affect performance or anything at all?

It could be from the combustion occurrences you mentioned, but you can take a very fine grit sand paper to that area. Just make sure you clean the area very well afterwards.

I’m just loving this vaporizer. It’s so simple and yet so fun to learn the different techniques that affect the performance and feeling.
I’m kind of struggling a bit yet.Sometimes I get a great hit and sometimes I don’t get a hit at all, but it’s my 3rd day with it and it’s getting better. As I said, it’s all about learning and stupid and lazy me is making it a little more difficult since I’m using a three flame torch instead of going to mall and buy a single flame one. Sometimes I will feel a little hot in the face (guess singe flame I won’t have this problem) while I’m aiming and then realize I’m just pointing the torch a little under the glass and hurting the little Jr’s wood. Nothing dramatic, but some parts of the wood got a little black.
Well, I guess it’s the little price you pay from learning.

Anyway, just want to say that your e-mail and FC forum support is amazing. The whole purchase and after purchase was nothing but genuine care for the customer. You guys totally deserve all the success your products are.

Seems no matter what length i have my torch at now, all i seem to be getting is a wood and butane kind of taste from my brick, cant taste no terpenes, id like to think i had great technique, dont know whats up

On the other hand, when using the three flame torch I get almost instantly huge clouds.
How do I use the single flame lighter better? I’ve tried getting it closer to tube, but still no luck.

Try to increase the leght of single flame or have a stronger draw (to suck flame into the load)

I find SB jr to be the only vape amongs the few I have taking advantage more from a moderately strong draw (staying raisonable) in order to raise temp, I like big flames setting on single and triple, maybe this explain?

There are a whole lotta variables in draw technique. If you're using a larger flame and holding it further away I can see how drawing harder might get you more heat. I usually use a tiny flame very close so drawing faster to get more cool air running through the chamber is how I usually think about it as well.

Exactly my experience. I think @NizzyJones nailed it though. The flame of my lighter get longer while using it (d'oh) so meanwhile I start with slow draws with the flame inside the intake and quickly get to stronger draws with the (longer) flame more distant. For the first hit, I find it helpful to preheat the intake glass

Tried the S&B dosage capsules in my SBJ for the first time this weekend and I just love the combo. Super snug fit, as if designed for each other. I don't get exactly the same size of clouds as with loose herbs but still totally awesome and in its own class..But the best is, there's no stirring any more, that alone is kind of a deal changer for me. I draw until I get significantly less vapour, and when I open them, the AVB is evenly toasted, just as in my Crafty. Fan-fuckin-tastic. The taste is a tiny little less intense though, so for some strains I might prefer the loose herb, at least in order to judge the taste, when comparing phenotypes. However, all in all I just love those capsules, I don't use the Crafty without them, and I'm not sure if my SBJ will see loose herbs that often again.

I thought this would be a good place to share.. Have had a SBJ for a couple months but don't have the WPA yet. I was using a hydrotube with my Air one day and it clicked..
