That seems true of the normal M vs XL as well, not so much a vapor quality difference as it is a handling difference.

Happy for Austyn that the Simrell collection was awarded the Product of the Year by Sneaky Pete. And I couldn't agree more.

It's really the only way I use the vapcap natively, and it's great for water too.

I will be the lucky new owner of a Deep Purple Ti Vortex with matching cap and tip in a few days. Really excited to 'complete' my collection which includes a 'plain' Ti Vortex and Blackwood Vortex.

I believe that I've quenched my VAS for the year and it's only the 14th. :spliff:I know I'm laughing too.

a Deep Purple Ti Vortex

I got recently my plane vortex, first one probably, it is really a wonderfull object. To me it is not a VCap game changer as it was pipes induction heater but second best for sure, Era lasting quality, vandals proof, and those are the lesser features

how deep cleaning is? is the condenser fixed or can it be removed for cleaning? I gave it an ultrasonic bath in iso before first use, it appeared fixed but I didn’t try to pull on it

You can take it out. It was recommended to me to use tweezers, and they're perfect. Pulls out easily :)

I’ve found cleaning my Simrell to be quite easy. For my Ti pieces I pull off the cap, take the pieces apart and soak in Everclear (grain alcohol) overnight and simply rinse and dry. For my wood vortex I put the tip and Intercooler in Everclear and swab out the condenser with a pipe cleaner soaked in ISO.

And my experience was different. I had an IH before my Vortex and still didn’t use my vapcap much. Until I got the vortex. Then it became one of my daily drivers.

I use the aureum tip on my simrell as i appreciate ss more than Ti tip with induction heaters

If i go torch then ti tip

Hey yeah I've just switched to the 2019 SS tip, and yeah I agree so far much better results with my induction heater.

And I just ordered the trippy hippy finished vortex!

Interesting. Can you expand on what ways you think the SS is better?

I have both and I decided that I liked the Ti better but that was before I got my IH so I think I’ll have to go back and try the SS with the IH.

Hey @rosedale yeah I always preferred the titanium tip with the torch, but for now I'm enjoying the SS 2019m tip with my timberwood zombie induction heater because I find its easier to get big roasty hits without combusting

My ti vortex has arrived.

I have a problem, i cant get the tip on. I am trying to use a 7 fin ti tip, most i can get on is half way. I tried the other modern ti tip i had and it seems the same.

Am i doing something stupid or is it a problem with my stem?

I just stopped in to say that the vortex lives up to the hype. Like a few others said as well it is an awesome combination with the port side mini.
I need to get me a port side. I have a custom IH but need a portable. I've had the vortex for about three weeks and I really enjoy it. It is my goto now.

Had a few goes on my vortex. I like it. It definatley cools the vapor. It is also the coolest looking vapcap stem i have seen. Actually it's the only stem I own now.

Do I think it's worth the £150 price tag? No.
Am I glad I brought it? Definatley.

But there is something about it. It just looks really neat - nice lines like a sports car. I take it out the case every now and then just to look at it.

Performance wise the vapor seems a bit cooler. I quite like having a carb again, my previous stems did not. The carb helps with the cooling as much as the vortex I reckon.

It's kinda like a fine wine. The a £10 bottle of wine is often twice as good as a £5 bottle. However a £40 bottle is not four times as good as the £10. It's better but your paying a premium for it.

But if you gonna own one stem - it might as well be a good one..

How does it compare to a regular vapcap with a water piece? I read somewhere (either in this thread or over at vaporents) that the intercooler makes it about 90% as good as a water piece. Do you feel that's the case?

Can someone post some Simrell porn? Detailed pics of the stem and the intercooler thingy that goes inside of it, both assembled and unassembled, would be awesome.

Right now I use a 6" long Arizer Solo glass stem as an add-on to my Vapcap's airpath. I had one laying around and it mates to my Vapvap nicely via the phat mouthpiece. It does a good job cooling the vapor. A simrell piece would be alot more portable and convenient though. Sticking an Arizer Solo stem on the end of your Vapcap isn't the most ideal thing when you're out and about.
