Silicone vs Glass Pieces for Concentrates

Hey FC!

Super new to this community and I am absolutely loving it so far. I have been lurking at a bunch of threads and have seen some really beautiful pieces, which has lead me to this question…
What are everyone’s opinions on silicone pieces for concentrates? Does anyone here have any experience using silicone pipes and other products for it? I break my pieces quite often… and I know I can always just be more careful… but I always wondered if there were true benefits to using silicone over glass.
I wonder if taste would differ at all, using glass or silicone.

I like my glass, because I can clean it better/easier than other materials.

I assume silicone is worse. But… I have had my eye on the silicone Proxy travel pipe. Carrying a vape mostly made out of glass is stressful.

I think silicone travel pieces are great. I was thinking about getting a large one since they are somewhat bendable.
