"I do like to add a little bubble with flowers every now and then, sometimes a chunk of shatter on top. I get the synergy you are speaking about lol. Have you considered adding terpenes to your extracts to try and bring back the fresh plant terps that are lost during processing of material?"
Good Morning Brother Herb.
The Synergistic effects of properly dried and cured flowers and Water Sieved Resin (Which I should also point out is cured for 3 months prior to extraction)(This time frame allows the Glandular Head to "shrink " and go through the process of polymerization, creating a more rounded, medicinal effect.)
The combination of these procedures IMO, preserve enough of the plant's natural Terpenes to suffice my personal needs.
Additionally, if the Water Sieving process is done correctly, there is a minimal loss of very lightweight molecular water soluble Terpenes.
I.e; Do not Squeeze the wet resin, always be sure to dry on inert surfaces (No cardboard), separation and drying techniques etc...(Cardboard will not only leach away the water, but also wicks away essential oils, and the trade is a Sulfurous taste to your Hash)
I dry directly on glass or porcelain, line a *clean* pizza box or plastic container with Raw parchment for the curing of the Resin
However, when I was extracting with N-Butane, I considered adding outsourced Terpenes in very small ratios to my "Concrete Extracts"(From Fresh Material) to obtain a more Oleoresin (From cured material)like Texture and to bump up medical properties.
Eliminating the loss of Terpenes in extracts is my main objective.. Hence the desire to step up my dry sieve technique, but the yields are extremely low, leading me to create a Hybrid Water /Dry sieved extract.
In this process, I would lightly sift the material prior to adding the Ice water Slurry, then afterwards, add the dry sift back to the water sieved resin, replacing the lost terpenes.
Ohhhh the dnail is just so nice for fully melting concentrates isn't it!? Don't we live in such a great time for diversity of ways to use extracts? lol
A hahahaha.... Indeed my friend, when I first got my DNail, I was in complete love...no more roaring torch, precise temps, and turned my Hash into complete bliss.
Right now, I'm on the fence... My newly obtained DBV has become my choice device regarding taste and effects.. A tiny tiny pinch of my Hash, with some properly cured flowers...gives robust flavor and hit after hit of pure cannabliss.
"Those are some beautiful headies in those pics you posted! Looks fantastic bro!"
Thank you so much Brother, I've done so much research into this, that comments like this make me smile, and I'm willing to reveal all my techniques, unlike many of today's modern Hash-Makers.
I don't understand why many elite producers hide their techs, this only holds the community back, and promotes unscrupulous profiteering.
"Tell me if you have a moment, how do you go about cleaning your water hashes up if say you had one that was 2/3-3/4 melt already?"
Hmmm , this is a challenging question....
Luckily, the New and old Rosin Tech can turn a 3 star melt into a 6 star melt in seconds. (Of course the old tech does take much longer and is more meticulous.)
The key is to get the resin as clean as possible whilst in the catch bags.
I use a pressurized water sprayer to blast a stream of water to literally clean the hash while in the bag, blasting the hash with this concentrated stream of water rinses the contaminant, dust, dirt and can also separate the Capitate Head from its stalk.
I equate this process with the refining of dry sifted resin with the "carding tech".
It is just finishing the wax/fat removal stages now. When the ISO portion of the solution had mostly evaporated from first extraction step, the extract took on a very faint yellow tinge. Usually I am used to this strain providing dense, orange quartz strength crystals of shatter after extraction - I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

Awesome man, can't wait to see your work, sounds like this will be killer run.
Do you use a Vac setup?..,
If so, I'd love to share my old reliable vacuum chamber heating tech.
It involves the use of sand, instead of water.
I had it down perfectly, being able to control the temperature within 1 degree increments, just as good, or perhaps even better than a Vacuum Oven.
I'll come back and post up some of my favorite solvent extracts.
Really a pleasure posting with you man.
