lightcycle, temps day and night and nutrient avaliblity due to quantity and/or ph of media play the parts in it. outdoors varibles are less in your control. indoor all of these can be adjusted to caused desired effects. increasing thc production, decreasing chlorophyll production through decreased night and increased day temps along with ph and nutient changes. but just like human babies... they have a due date but dont always develop on the dr. schedule. some go long and some go short. allowing it to sit longer will actually cause the thc to begin oxidizing on the vine and create a higher cbd cbn ratio. some desire this some dont.... all of it is subjective to the user.

Ok, I just learned something new. I know the only way to kill off the chlorophyll is with an ISO wash. Personally, I'm not a big fan of ISO but I'm going to do a run now with ISO. My green co2 run tasye fab!
I myself am learning, personally I'm friends with Knotty and he's been the one teaching me. I'm also about to try a natural solvent by KleenExtract as the recently asked me to rep for them.
I have no issue with being wrong, it's just when being like I don't know what I'm doing gets my panties in a ruffle. I have ZERO residue on nails, and the flavor (too me) is good.
If anyone else who has a closed loop system that runs co2 I'd love to hear you chime in.

Came out as some dark colored shatter. WAY tastier than it was to begin with. If I spread it out it would probably look pretty nice.
Also bought some CO2 wax for the first time today...not quite sure what to think. The color is weird (probably normal for CO2 but I don't know) and it kind of sizzles when it hits the nail. The label says www.goldenbarn.com I visited the site and it looks pretty legit but I'm still not sure. Definitely gets me high and tastes decent but it's definitely not the 95% THC wax the dispensary claimed it was.
In the process of removing the chlorophyll from a different batch right now:

Bought a full ounce of Kong from a place in CO Springs called Kind Theraputics. The gave me 30 grams and I yielded only ~3.3 grams. Total. I definitely recommend never setting foot inside that dispensary ever.
Final product tastes great and has a great effect...there was just about 3 or 4 grams less than there should have been.

Most people shoot for 20-25% with EXCELLENT buds.
I myself get about 1g give or take a little bit per quarter that I wash with ethanol. I get about the same with BHO that I make, so it really has a lot to do with starting material assuming your technique is solid.

In my opinion 10% return on anything but trim is pretty bad. Unless the starting material isn't very good at all, which this was supposed to be at least decent. I paid less for the ounce that blew that a train a page or two back and I got well over 5 grams from that.

agreed. 10% is sift numbers, not solvent. 2 runs ago the same thing happened to me. Chocolate mango, looked and smelled good. I vaped a bowl, almost no vapor... bad sign. 55 gram run = 5.5 g of damn good oil.... fuck. A typical run for me from the same source (different strains) is in the 13 - 16 gram range

Damn. I am actually starting to think I get exceptional buds for where I am! I am getting 5-10g yields with QWISO on my THC bomb who buds (including trim, you don't need to remove trim/stems if you freeze your material adequately before each wash!) from each oz!

THC Bomb is exceptionally resinating strain. very tasty. very nice to smell... if your using that then yes you are using high quality material... if properly raised.
kudos to you. that strain is very consistent. if you like that try Cherry Bomb same breeder but OMG it smells like cherry mash (if you know what candy bar that is)

EDIT: Damn this stuff is sticky! 4.6g yield from 2oz first run, slightly lower than my usual 5.1g or so first run if it were all THC bomb. Still, the guy who grew these outdoor mango dream buds was a fucking artist.
