I can't wait until I have selection options soon. Within a year. I'm still banking heavily on CO2 oil, but I'd have no problem dabbing BHO while I wait.

ehhh probably could but it'd get dirty real quick. even though this is incredible hash (best i've had for sure) there's still a bit of ash, especially inside the tight confines of a vape pen it'd get clogged (or just block the heat source) real quick i imagine. if you didn't mind putting in like a real small amount and cleaning out the ash every time you pack it could work

me personally i think wax works so perfectly with vape pens i wouldn't even bother putting anything else in there

Looks real nice! I am also a fan of QWISO using alcohol for a solvent.

I have been having such great luck with it I can't imagine why so much effort is being put into finding other solvents. Solvents that can be very dangerous. I am not just referring to the norm butane. I have been hearing of people using more dangerous methods.

The taste of QWISO utilizing an alcohol extraction is the best in my opinion. I can't say that I have tried them all, but that is all I use is alcohol. If I use 99% isopropyl, I fully purge it then I dilute that with 190 proof or better grain alcohol (I prefer using 192 proof polish vodka). Evaporate or purge then I am good to go!

I use a lot of concentrates so using the grain alcohol gives me a peace of mind.

This is not in my stash jar yet, currently it is in the freezer for winterizing. I did sample some before adding the grain alcohol and oh were they yummy! I can't wait to see how they look and taste after winterizing!

I had to test a little because it looked oh so good! Keep in mind, this was tested before winterizing.
My goal here is selecting what strains to keep in my grow room based upon the quality of oil they produce. All four strains are keepers in my book, but final judgement will come as soon as they are done winterizing and I get to taste test them all.

I got a vacuum pump recently and made my first vac-purged run with some dispensary shake.

Despite keeping the temperature below 170 the bho autobuddered in the vacuum and trapped some butane. Beautiful color and smell but it still had a faint butane taste.

So I did a lazy winterizing (dissolved into ethanol, chilled for 45 min and filtered). The resulting oil doesn't look as nice (also shot in different lighting) but it is extremely smooth and retained most of the flower taste.

You need to keep your oil/wax under 120 F if want to minimizing the chance of autobuddering. Some strains are more difficult to prevent from waxing up so keep that in mind in the future

was looking for real good shatter and managed to get an oz of this (after probably 2 full days of searching...), some platinum cookie og, by far best shatter i've had, it's very very terpy. i set the ceramic nail to 710*F and just carb cap and this is probably one of the best tasting dabs i've ever had. i smoke cigs/have bad taste in general so i almost never get a real full flavor like this is giving me
