Sooooo... I tried a new "hack" I've seen people doing with their bangers and the Qaurtz Quest.

I purchased some small quartz beads to use in my Sai bucket. Paired with a directional carb cap and the Poseidon bubbler. Wow! The directional carb cap gets the bead spinning around the bucket at high speeds. It resulted in less waste, and better taste!

The problem with these buckets is they are prone to hotspots, allowing oil to run away from heat. The spinning bead moves the oil around and leads to more thorough vaporization.

The only problem is, the carb cap is a bit large so it takes some finesse to get the bead spinning, but once it does... DAMN!

What the TAF Sai needs is a "straw" that faces the bucket at an angle, like the QQ. That would allow this to work even without the bubbler.

I have (3) 6mm quartz terp balls so I am gonna have to try this on the Triton Quartz this weekend. I think it would work awesome in the Triton SVR...that might even work with bubble caps.

The only way it works on the Sai is with a directional carb cap so the air is traveling at an angle to get the beads spinning. As long as you can recreate that with the Triton, you’re in for a good time.

Thats where the SVR would come in. Not sure if you caught the picture of that one, but it's in the Triton thread. Its a sidecar mouthpiece with a carb cap.

The 1701 with Quartz or Ceramic Buckets is the only one I would use.
Someday it might be on par with Sai, but not now at Triple the price $99

So, I've set the pearl aside for the moment.

I am getting tasty, rig style hits from just using the Sai bucket, Poseidon bubbler, and directional carb cap. The same amount of material produces much bigger hits than with the standard top piece. I can't imagine doing much better than this with any setup.

It makes me want to pick up a Quartz Quest because having a top piece with airflow that "hits" the bucket at an angle seems to be the key. My issue is, the QQ just looks too "fiddly". Too many things that can go wrong. Meanwhile I screwed in my Sai Bucket once 8 months ago and haven't fucked with it since.

I was hoping since the Triton was coming out with a new top airflow piece that it would get it right. However the pictures I've seen have the straw facing straight down at the bucket. That is outdated tech.

An ideal option would be a new Sai top piece with angled airflow. I think the RDA DivineTribe put out has it right, but there's not a good way to make that work with buckets.

But, you'll always get a better hit using a directional carb cap+bubbler since I can move the air around and evenly distribute the oil.

I highly recommend this setup.

Yes it is so easy & awesome.
I put in .2 of some Bloodhound live resin & mixed in some Fire OG Live resin budder
& just melted it into a pool, with TCR 315 @40 watts temp 320 - 400 locked at .7ohms
At 330 just sip off pure sweet vapor & add a little every hour or so, wow!
Pool of 86% THC & Terps just stays light golden till I want to start over , ramp up to finish
even up to 420 (Nail Coughter) & piece of a paper towel & few drops of Distilled water
tap fire button to get water hot & brand new in seconds.
I keep a second TAF Sai on another Mod with same setting and rotate product profiles.
So inexpensive & so just works EVERY TIME. Pinnacle water Tool straight connects.
As soon as I get Quartz cup inserts & Ceramic Cups this Blows Away the Puffco Peak.

I agree. The only advantage to the Peak over the Sai is not needing to hold a button for 10 seconds. I don't think the luxury of not having to apply gentle pressure with my thumb is worth an additional $300+

And it has other advantages. I travel a lot. It's very nice not needing to put my Sai mod in my carry on bag, because I can remove the batteries, and just carry those on. Unless I'm mistaken, you can't remove the Peak battery. So you need to haul the thing with you in the plane cabin.

The Peak is not an ideal travel vape, to me.

I always want to try using the bucket as a "loan a quarter gram and go" vape, but I'm always worried the whole load will turn to reclaim fast. Sounds like it works pretty damn well for you though!

Yes and with a little silicone whip attached goes to my Do2o & all my glass ect
Going to get the Eagle base in Black to match with the TAF upgrade piece to make
super Sai.

As long as you keep temps low I get like 10 huge 20 sec hits.
No fuss , no mess. Finally can give all my Yocan Donuts, 2.5 atts & Cerum stuff
to my buds who are in dark ages combusting.

Can't believe hardly any help or coverage here, got all good advice from reddit, sad.
Same with this little Gem - Arcadia Motar E-Solid Wax Vaporizer All Quartz
So easy to use, can't find any help to try & TC it, but just can Pulse it and sip for a hour on .01 shatter or pure oil, clean taste a mini QQ , cleans easy no leaks.
Is this stuff kind of banned from sharing on FC? Strange, this stuff is Far Better than 90%
of the crap that PASSES for High TECH Vapes up at FC?
Because it cost so much less than overpriced Junk like (oh you know the overhyped crap)

I want to pick up the Eagle Base because it allows you to use different glass. It's compatible for those HE-Nail bubblers and I have one laying around.

But I really don't know why it's not super popular here. I tried a Quartz Banger low temp dab the other day. I really couldn't tell a difference coming from the Titanium Sai Bucket with the directional carb cap. And the Sai is so much easier.

An e-nail provides more accurate temps, and no buttons to push. But I can take a hit that, to my palate, is indistinguishable... and within 30 seconds I've loaded, hit, cleaned, and my entire setup can be put away. I don't like clutter.

I hear it has even better bottom airflow than the Sai.
Also has a Ceramic Sealed Cup that comes with Atty.
Love the look of the Base in Black & it will pair nice
with the half price TAF Add on with Ti/Skillet combo
What a steal for $12 will make the Eagle very Happy.
Found a really good price for it also, maybe a labor day sale?

I know exactly what you mean and have dropped so much wasted money on one of those popular and expensive, but actually inferior, products that I won't name.
I love this place and as a vape technical resource it's unmatched, but, there IS kind of a 'connoisseur' wank factor that exists here that's very similar to what you find with audiophiles, wine enthusiasts etc.

In the audiophile world there are people who will spend $500 on a custom carved and 'balanced' wood volume knob convinced it will make their set-up sound a few percent better or $5k on cable convinced of the same when double-blind testing has shown very, very few can tell the difference between those cables and a plain old copper power extension cords.

Oh sorry I already have the TAF Sai. I was interested in the Eagle so I could use my buckets with other glass. But anyone who doesn't have one and loves concentrates should grab it!

OK No worries buddy, I was just showing how to put it together cheap.
Got mine comming for my new Joyetech Espion color mini dual mod
Sai TAF Kit + Ceramic Donut heater + TI Bucket $13 + $22 Max Eagle

https://maxvapornail.com/products/maxvapor-eagle-atomizer?variant=4187526365213

Makes me a rig with glass I don't have to 510 around & muck it up.
I really want to try what I read about, that the 10mm ceramic donut hits & taste the best in the Eagles better dual sided bottom airflow base, got to try that for the price.

Looks like there's a new Sai Quartz Crucible available directly from CrossingTech.

It looks like a MaxVapor style ceramic bucket, with a quartz insert. This looks like a better heater setup than the original Ti Bucket too, since that is heated by a standard donut with a "hole". This "hole-less" donut should lead to more even heating.

Unsure on the price since it looks like you have to message Crossingtech on Instagram to order. But it's exciting stuff!

Is the Insert cup going into the ceramic cup lying flatter than what others are trying to do with ti/combo skillet & cups?

I'm not sure yet, but I would think so. Are you referring to putting a quartz insert into the current Titanium bucket? If so, this would be much better since the ceramic heating element is directly heating the quartz.

And this new bucket uses a ceramic disc, rather than the standard donut wit a center hole. That should lead to more even heating.

The problem I've always had with quartz is the heat up time. It will always take longer than Ti. But at 40 watts, we're probably only talking about an extra second or 2.

I will give this bucket a whirl, but I'm not sure I'll prefer it over the Ti. I know most people prefer quartz, but I'm not sure if I'm one of them. Trying a few low temp torched dabs on quartz this week, I definitely noticed a slight "hot glass" aftertaste that's hard to explain. With the Ti bucket... I only taste the concentrate. But my tastebuds might be all fucked from inhaling a mil of e-juice a day, heated with SS coils.

I think a SiC buket might be better than quartz. It's thermal properties would allow for more even heating as well. There was a thread looking at making a sapphire bucket for the Sai as well. But I don't know if constant heating and cooling is a good idea on expensive Sapphire.

Awesome, hmmm... Well the Max Eagle Atty's I ordered for the Bottom dual sided air flow, comes with the Exact same Ceramic Heater installed for $22 Pair it with the Sai TAF
for Buckets & for Ceramic Donuts (reported to be the shits with 10mm DT settings) better airflow. We'll see I get that on wednesday , I'll be testing away, lol.
