Hey @Jared! Looking beautiful as always!Snuffalufagus Rosin - Some of the most tasty and potent I've tried yet.
Thanks boss! I think I'll be heading that route soon enough as well.I still buy BHO from processors I know are good but I haven't actually made myself any since I found out about rosin other than some I blasted from rosin chips haha. I just squish a nugg or two if I'm wanting to try a strain I have.
Here was the post I made on it. Actually got a pretty decent yield but I also didn't have my smashing technique down at the time I don't think haha. Thanks boss! I think I'll be heading that route soon enough as well.
Did you get anything from blasting the rosin chips?
Just wondering if the chips are worth keeping to blast. I would probably just decarb the wax (forget the slow low heat purge) and make some tasty edibles. But if the yield is <5% then idk if it would be worth it for me (unless I had a pound of chips haha).
I'm getting one of these too Probably the larger one but I'm gonna speak with the guy who made them and find out which will be best for my needs!D-Nail press available for pre-order. $335
http://beta.d-nail.com/frontpage/d-nail-heat-press
Edit: This is really tempting especially considering the price may skyrocket after this beta/pre-order special price is over with. D-Nail isn't really known for their affordability...
Haha right? Sometimes having choices is great but sometimes it sucks too.Small or large press?
Dammit dNail, Why couldn't you have made just one? lol
Decisions, decisions.
Perfect thank you! I'm going to go with the small press. Going to order it right nowI would guess that you could potentially press an 8th of nugs on the small press, I think a zip in one press might be possible on the larger one!
The only thing I wanna find out is whether there is less pressure from the hand pressing mechanism on the larger plates or whether they've found a way to account for the extra force needed. Otherwise the small press may get higher pressure and therefore allow less heat
Since you'll get yours WAYYYYYY before me, you must make a covenant with me that you will share video of the press in action.Perfect thank you! I'm going to go with the small press. Going to order it right now
I can't wait to say "Hey, you want a dab? It's fresh off the press". Haha
No problem! I will definitely be posting videos and asking tons of questions since I have never made Rosin ever haha.Since you'll get yours WAYYYYYY before me, you must make a covenant with me that you will share video of the press in action.
lol
My ignorance assumes everyone lives in the United StatesYup but shipping to where I live takes an eternity and it won't ship til same time as teh Beta ones I believe!
Look forward to watching you learn to squoosh rosin on FC lol
I am struggling to work out who is looking forward to seeing the results of this weekend more, me or you! lolMy ignorance assumes everyone lives in the United States
I will share as much as possible as soon as it comes in! After it arrives, I will devote a full weekend to playing with it
I think that's a pretty good guess bro, I would not be surprised to learn that you are right on this oneI want one but it doesn't make sense to me since I use such small amounts. Might go halfsies with someone I know just so I can press 2g per press or so. My guess of the sweet spot for the small press

Depends on how moist the material is, I would give it a shot and see how you go with it with each different plant. Remember you can always use your vac (carefully, water boils a lot closer to decarb temps than other solvents) to get enough of the excess moisture out to make it not spatter.I think my excitement might be hard to beat! I only say that because I should have some home grown Skunk #1, Super Skunk, and White Diesel Haze to press right when I get the unit
Oh that raises a question that I think has been mentioned a while ago, but not in depth.
Can you press fresh material? or does it need to be dried/cured?
The consensus was that it doesn't work well with fresh material… Is that still true?

Drop me a line if you need a hand with any of this my friend
DAK if they charge your card right away when you do the pre-order, or do they wait until it ships?
Thanks!
