He has some really good mini tubes and smaller recyclers for cheaper also

I believe that one is the one he did for me, or very similar one. I think I added a couple things and was 450. He like Scott can do some bang up sealing work.

Ok guys, I had to run over to Mellow Mood and grab that new Worm difusion pump recycler. Boy is it a pure dream in use. Crazy path of the water. Me and especially my picky buddy loves it. Sweet proto piece and recycler105...

The name is a Worm Blumcken. This one is a double and according to Worm works a tad better than the single.

I have now, but it kind of sucks with the dirty glass... And the tentacle makes it a bit hard to see, functions great though

Yes, Jake even loves it, that's hard - he is very critical. It's a real user. An user's user if that makes since. A nice transparent color like peach would be cool, there are several that fit that. I want light Gatorade and Jade dicro. Hehehe

Never the less, the function of this baby exceeds my expectation and happy I grabbed it. I toyed over it since it was pure proto. Tend to migrate to a mix now a days. Nothing is forever so maybe I'll order a custom replacementt and hand this one down.

Mellow Mood had two new Philpot recycler designs in today. Brand new and just got them. They didn't even know the price yet ☺ nice size too, about 7-8". Pure proto though. Seems proto recyclers from noted artists are running close to $900 standard now. 2nd tier, not first tier like Mothership. That's crazy

I'm so jealous of your IG feed. May as well get one more to make me drool. While I have you- what do you think is the best bang for the buck in the recycler world?

That is so hard to answer. When you say bang for your buck, I assume you mean clear glass, solid build, and excellent function with a proper vortex and slow drain.

There are so many guys making traditional Recyclers, Incyclers, klein recyclers, egg Kleins, multiple uptakes and returns, double recyclers, quadruple recyclers!! It's nuts.

My preference is a traditional recycler with the external vortex chamber, followed closely by a "simple" Klein. At one time I would have said Cory Glass Designs was the best bang for the buck, hands down, but he started getting A LOT of noteriety on IG and while he was once difficult to get in contact with he is now near impossible to get in contact with. When it comes to my preferred styles in clear glass I am very partial to Gordo Scientific. I've never been let down by any of his pieces. They all function so well and his work is clean, but his work has also become in pretty high demand so prices have raised. Earl Jr. makes phenomenal Traditionals and Kleins, but again there's the demand and price thing. From what I've seen, Doughboy and Distilled make some very nice stuff at good prices, but I haven't tried a piece from either yet. Smo_Glass makes beautiful pieces and the function is on point! He's a little difficult to get in contact with, but he isn't crazy expensive.

This all leads me back to Brandon P Glass. Gordo Scientific learned a lot from Brandon. You can see it in the overall styles comparatively. Brandon makes a fantastic Traditional, Klein, and Incycler. He incorporated different style percs and the function and vortex is always so sweet and on point. He also does not charge an arm and a leg for his work and is open with people contacting him for pieces. The only problem is that he is out of shop right now and I don't believe he'll be back for a couple weeks and when he does return he has a few orders to complete.

There are a slew of others out there that make different style Recyclers like Slugworth, Oil Glass Contraptions, Rebelz Glass, but they do a lot of worked Recyclers and the ones I've suggested above are some of my favorites that I know make awesome work.

Don't forget Hamm and Siren. However, my vote would be an Earl Jr Mini external. This is the size down from the full size Alpha. They can be bought for $280-$350 depending on discount etc from a shop.

I agree with Deadshort480 on his comments too, especially on the style choice. External are easier to make so cost less. Smaller doesn't not equal less cost either.

Another option is Surly or Pyro or Taylor Sims, especially Surly. You can get a decent heady Surly klein for around $400.

I (like I assume many other have ) have been lusting after a recycler ever since I first saw a Sovereignty recycler in a vid somewhere.

I'm curious, to anyone who's ever owned/used a recycler, are they worth it?

Short of being a spectacularly cool splash guard, do recyclers offer anything over a non-recycling piece?
Given the vapor itself doesn't recycle (at least in any vid I've seen), I can't see how it would

Value being a subjective tradeoff between function, build quality, and cost...

I like them. One of my favorite Sov recyclers is one of their newer kinds with sacred geometry sandblasted on the mouthpiece. It gives a nice amount of restriction with a little pop. Erik Anders makes sick heady ones too if you haven't seem them. Cheaper prodo ones like $200-300 is likely worth it. Really depends on the functionality. Some glass blowers fuck it up too easily.
