What a fun and gorgeous piece - congratulations!

That dropdown is making me drool. I’d kill for one of those for each of the pieces I use the Glass Symphony with. My Mobius dropdowns are pretty fantastic, but having one that rests on the same surface as the base of the main glass minimizes the possibility of joint strain while also making the entire setup more difficult to tip. Soooooooo choice!

Also love the use of silicone mats to cushion the glass and be generally handy!

My setup is arranged on a mid-century brass/chrome framed bar cart with two glass surfaces. I use 4 of the round Oil Slick mats that look like planets to cushion the bases of up to 4 in-use pieces on the bottom. On the top glass shelf I have the Flower Pot/PID controller on the left and the Glass Symphony/PID controller on the right. I use 3 of the Oil Slick green-bordered mats pushed edge-to-edge to cushion the “use surface” and make it as fool-proof as possible to drop any hot parts I’m dumb enough to reach and touch.
I’d love to peep that if possible! I know it could be a lot of effort though.
Just something about a nicley displayed collection ...
Especially to a simpleton like myself

Hahaha our setups setup say something about us as individuals. Mine says, “I’m a really anal sysadmin who excessively cable ties and documents things.”
Well I feel I must also commend you with an award for arguably, as far as I have perceived here on this forum, the most adventurous and harcore female vaporist we have here!

Honestly, before you came back along recently and really brightening the place with light enthusiastic spirit, I knew of NO single lady member here who had more than just considered the idea of owning the Flowerpot.

And you have the glass symphony as well, cheers on you girl for being a refreshing exception to the norm.

Apart from the Evo, these super heavy hitters including the herborizer ti do not seem to have a single female participant in the respective threads.
And your glass collection- that Roor bubbler alone is a token of a serious vaporist at heart.:science:

Thank you very much for the compliment, but there are women on this board that have started their own vaporist communities and companies, have fought legal battles for the greater good, etc.

I merely report back my own personal “anecdata” and aspire to contribute as much as they do and have. This forum has been a wealth of information over the years thanks to the contributions of everyone here: past, present, and hopefully future. :luv: Thanks for yours, @Alexis.

I’d love to see @vtac come back and re-energize this place so that people can keep the faith.

Women are (relatively) underrepresented in certain tech fields in some countries which can be a complicated issue. My degree, professional experience, and passion is focused on electronics, computers, and technology, so this new breed of PID-controlled vaporizers is fascinating to me.

:leaf: + :science: =

Normally I only keep 4 or 5 pieces on the cart at a time so it’s not as cluttered - added a couple extras for the photos.

Nice setup! You clean floors nicely too!

Now the questions...

1. What is the one on the bottom shelf far right (left on last pic.)

2. I see both a Mobius Clear Matrix & Ion Matrix? What do you find different about them when they have the same perc? (I have a Micro II (Matrix) and a Clear Reti (using right now) so the difference between the two I have attributed to the different percs. (The Reti is a bit more violent, but can the flared out can have a similar affect?) My cans are relatively the same, but the clear does take more water (I should measure the difference.)

Oh, and nice Swagger Double. (I love mine!)

@ViCKi LEEKX I can tell that you are very kind and sincere, and that is what I respect really, plus your modesty is also nice to see. The rest was in jest of course, but true as well. We just dont see as many female vaporists active in those type of threads and that's what makes it refreshing.

However- I make this post to apologize on behalf of the STUPID talk/text A.I. program I use as well as typing...well, it bloody got me again! I just edited my post above, and Im so sorry you read "frightening the place", when I said "brightening". Not happy with A.I.!:goon:

Where’d that carb adapter come from? Looks much nicer than the ones I have! What size is the joint for the carb pull itself - 10mm or larger?

1. It is the Roor Vapor Bubbler with a Sheldon Black mouthpiece.

That piece has a 14mm F GonG joint for a mouthpiece and an 18mm F GonG joint for the bowl. I have a few different mouthpieces but that one is a great height for hitting while standing (on that cart, with my height anyway).

It gets faces very far from the bowl joint which is great if you have hot PID-based setups and friends with big hair and/or glasses. Some of my friends are kinda scared to operate those high-heat setups and I feel more comfortable running that part for them when we all have a few inches of extra space to work with.

The base is huge so it’s very hard to tip and thus great for late night “after-parties” with friends.

It’s a low-diffusion piece so minimal flavor is lost.

Only downside is that it isn’t widely available in the US. I ordered that one directly from RooR; it cleared customs (ISC Chicago) in one day with no extra fees. YMMV.

2. Trying to be as objective as possible, I originally chose the Clear Matrix over the Ion Matrix because of the Clear’s larger can size. Visually, I also find pieces that have beaker/flared bases that hold water more appealing than flat-based pieces, but pieces with a huge flat footprint can be awesome (see above re. Roor Vapor Bubbler).

It’s obvious that I adore Matrix percs, but I wish I had bought the Clear Reti when it was available,

That said, at the risk of sounding like a basic bitch...

That Mobius Clear Matrix has been my favorite piece since I bought it to use with my Cloud (inverted + “Cloud Buddy” Claisen adapter). One of the original things my (now) husband and I first bonded over was our mutual adoration of the Cloud/Evo and Clear Matrix.

Then I wanted to check out the dual-Matrix life so I picked up the 60T. Then I wanted to check out recycler life so I got the Recurve Incycler. Then I saw the “matching” color scheme Ion Matrix to connect those pieces visually and couldn’t resist.

3. Thank you so much for reminding me of the name of that hydratube!

ROFL I never intend to “frighten the place” but sometimes I do, so that starement didn’t even strike me as odd.

Glad to help name the HT! I actually had to start a spreadsheet to keep track of the names & when they were from, whether I bought new or used... (yeah, spreadsheets... lol)

The carb adapter is from Oregon Glass Blowers

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/o...-custom-glass-adapters-and-accessories.18318/

Mike does good work. It's a 10 mm carb. He can do near anything.

I love the Cloud EVO with either Mobius, the Micro II Matrix or the Clear Reti. Those have become my rotating regulars, with my HT's being more of a "hello old friend" thing. :) The Swagger Double was my first piece of glass, and they shipped it to me by accident! It was one of the last that was "sold," as I then bought it from them & had the Showercap I had actually ordered shipped out rather than do an exchange. The Double is a fave, and a sentimental one at that.
