In the middle of the work day....USPS had just dropped off a package at the door but I was in the middle of something so I didn't get it. About 5 minutes later the doorbell rang and I went to the door. Standing there was a guy in ripped jeans and a stained t-shirt. He looked a little surprised when I opened the door.
When I asked what he wanted he handed me a pamphlet showing household cleaning products and said he was selling them door to door. I told him I didn't have time now but I'd take a look later and see if there was anything I was interested in and call the number on the pamphlet. I picked up the USPS package and as I was getting ready to shut the door he asked for the pamphlet back so I gave it to him.
My first random thought for the day after I shut the door was.....It was one of those pamphlets someone would jam in your door or mailbox, he didn't have a clipboard or anything to write anything down with.... wonder why he asked for the pamphlet back?
My second random thought for the day was....Wonder if that package would still be there if I hadn't answered the doorbell?

You are very lucky to have that package @His_Highness . IMO. Every decent scam artist/thief will have an out for themselves. That way if there is a person at home then they can talk their way out of the predicament.
That's why he wanted his "out" back. Could be wrong but I doubt it.
Edit: decent is such a terrible word to describe a thief. How about every seasoned douche bag of a thief.

so, around noon i was out doing my usual handing out of brochures for my start up company so i can finally afford clean clothes and this guy opens the door just as i was walking up to the house. i happen to have been really lost in thought so the door opening caught me off guard and i could tell i did the same to him just being on his property without notice. i gave him the brochure but something seemed off so i asked for it back just as a joke and he gave it back. its too bad he wont be able to save tons of money off name brand cleaning products but at least he got to keep that sweet package i was about to steal.

I have a parallel processor brain, due to brain damage at a very young age.
So, I do have two distinct personality processes. One is male, gay, and is the one that is madly in love with my hubby. Also is the artist.

Seems reasonable... I watched a prime movie along these the other night called Six Souls (called Shelter outside the usa), that touches upon the ambiguous state of our understanding of this phenomenon.

Putin's not stupid. The USSR no longer is a thing thanks to Reagan ramping up the arms race to the point where the USSR destroyed their economy trying to keep up. The USA hasn't actually paid off the debt ran up back then & has continued to build the debt since. Perhaps Putin sees the opportunity to get the USA to repeat the USSR's mistake, but without Russia even needing to spend anything in the process.

Watching the Kennedy Awards Honors on CBS. It's a great show so far. Love it all. Honoring a fav of mine James Taylor and I love Mavis Staples. I don't know the name of the young woman that sang a medley of her songs. She was a blonde Caucasian woman who did a knowout performance.
I'm not much for classical music so it's starting to get stagnet for me. A salute to the Eagles is next by Ringo Starr. I'm hoping for better things.
Barack and Michelle are in the audience. This obviously was recorded before the Christmas holiday. Probably right around the time the awards were given out. It was probably a month ago.
If you miss it try to watch online. Can you imagine being the band that sung Take It Easy for the Eagles. With the members of the Eagles watching - with serious looks on their faces at that. They were the Kings of Leon and they were awesome - they rocked it out.
I just love Stephen Colbert and he was the MC. Funny he was pretending to do a guitar solo.
It's a nice break from some of the stuff that's on the tube after xmas. I'm so ready for Game of Thrones and Better Call Saul.

Nuclear weapons are a hoax scare tactic for complete fear mongering. There is no proof they exist. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are thriving today with no radiation... greenery started growing back that month. They were firebombed. This is the exact opposite of a real nuclear tragedy like Chernobyl or Fukishima. Ask yourself, if nukes are as powerful as they say, how did the close camera footage survive? If you re-watch the nuke footage with an open mind you'll see they're just scale models. Do your own research...

I was vaping & watching cricket last night when I saw the arguably the biggest six I have ever seen hit. The height of it is ridiculous & it went 124m before it hit the roof. In a lower stadium it would have gone much further but good god he destroyed them with a brutal batting display.
