Looks delicious, i cant find the white cheddar cheese curds here to make it. Nothing in the supermarkets nor any deli's.

Weird. I found bags of white cheddar cheese kurds at this weird mini grocery store/gas station in Illinois of all places

Yeah cheese curds just dont seem to be a thing here in Australia 🤔.

There's a couple of specialty stores up in the city but nothing out here in the country.

Cheese curds shouldn't exist. They're an error in front of god. Or at least they shouldn't be called cheese.
These are cheese :

I've hitchhiked Quebec from Ontario to Gaspésie back an forth and tried the supposedly finest poutine out there, as well as the supposedly best cheese curds. Both highly overrated imho.

What I don't understand is that Quebec don't highlight some other meals of its gastronomy. I've been impressed by the "pâté chinois" (their version of the shepherd pie).

But the best meal I've had was a moose stew cooked by the guy who hunted it.

Well at least we agree on our distaste for poutine. Your hitchhiking trip seems like a wonderful adventure. We've explored some of Canada`s east coast and traveled westward only as far as Banff. I'm too old now but at one time I wanted to motorcycle, in the summer of course, across the Canandian landscape.

And the only moose I'd like to eat is chocolate mousse.

The western part of Canada is very nice. In particular i really like Vancouver & stopped off for a night in Victoria during a cruise. Calgary is i guess pretty nice to typical midwestern US city, but a great gateway to Banff, Lake Louise and Canadian Rockies. I want to do one of those Sky top rail trips.

Good news. The guy Jeffrey Epstein called his best friend said its case closed. Jeffrey Epstein killed himself because there wasn't any evidence against him. Everybody needs to move on now, ok

I just seen how he reacted to being asked about him

He is losing it and I really hope he gets what he deserves soon.

They got rid of Clinton for much much less than all this.

I looked into taking the rail trip. At the time is was prohibitorily expensive. Have to check it out again. See you on the train!!

The Federal Government is engaging in terrorist attacks against our second largest city.

These masked cowards are the scum of the Earth. The masks won't keep your wives from fucking the neighbor while you're away!

Because the shitty, crumbling infrastructure in this country can't support their weight.
I wouldn't go so far as to calling them scum. I wouldn't be surprised if these soldiers didn't want to be there either.

I was wondering when should the military be called to the streets. The only time I could think of is if he rioting crowd is too large for local law enforcement to handle. The military was used in several riots/protests. In fact here they are:

Detroit 1967 43 dead, 2,000 buildings destroyed
Newark 1967
Various cities 1968
Los Angeles 1992

Wonder how much longer you would wait after the loss of life, injuries, and damage to buildings and business to accept assistance from the military. How would you restore law and order? Some would argue they waited too long. With the latest L.A. riots one could also argue that they were called in prematurely. Hard to tell how much damage would have occurred if they weren't called in.

They're absolutely the scum of humanity. Don't care if that upsets you.

By the way, the TOS of this forum forbids me from saying what I think about people who defend what the cops/National Guard was up to during the 1960's Civil Rights Movement. But it can't keep me from thinking it!

With the latest L.A. riots one could also argue that they were called in prematurely. Hard to tell how much damage would have occurred if they weren't called in.

Blah, blah, blah. The Federal Government attacked Los Angeles, terrorizing immigrant communities. The most atrocious violence came from the government. Los Angeles has a right to defend itself.

Bazinga: I know you've been here longer than me, but more recently active than you used to be (?) And I don't mean this to sound harsh. But your response shows the conditioning to 'bothsides-ism' that big media is SO fond of. We're all susceptible to it (except maybe for Florduh... LOL, and good on him).

The LEO community (and I'll include the domestic peacekeeping arm of the military / NG here) is concerned with one thing -- preserving property rights. They give fuck all about the citizenry, as long as the buildings are standing at the end of the day. This has been the case since, well, the country was founded.

In the US, when the duly elected governor requests their NG component to be federalized... they DON'T get control of it back, until the CiC decides to. The governors know this, and that's why you see even the red states that could use them right now (ahem... Texas) refuse to request this from the current CiC. And then there's the "let's get the Feds out of FEMA" business. And everything else the current regime is doing to deconstruct the administrative state -- which is there *mainly* to solve problems too big for individual states.

A previous example was Katrina. Dim Son wanted the governor to request federalization -- and the locals steadfastly refused, to their credit. The one thing they did right was putting Gen. Russell Honore in charge of the recovery. Being a POC himself, he was the 'right place / right time' guy for that job. And he made his bones with that job, which is OK, as long as the results of his previous efforts were considered optimal.

Thus, you may see people saying "call the Guard". But it won't be the people who'd have to yield control of them. Not to THIS clown.

I not upset about your well thought out response. Sarcasm. I disappointed that you hate our military. Guess you're not a veteran. So, should we allow destruction both to property, law enforcement and citizens? Instead of making silly comments try to be productive here. How and when do employ any tactics to quell the violence. I'm open to suggestions.

What BS. You really believe that the most atrocious violence emanated from the government? Who attacked Los Angeles first? It wasn't the government. I do believe that the government was a little quick to utilize our great soldiers. Please read the news and/or get a television. You make some of the most outrageous claims I've ever heard. And I've heard a lot.

Smart. They sometimes give points at the proverbial drop of the hat.

Sometimes I wonder since you hate capitalism, hate the police, hate the military, hate wealthy people, etc., why stay here? I know it's not easy to pick up and move but no one is pointing a gun at your head to stay here. Please don't move. I'd miss you picking on me !!

Wait... you are claiming that some riots happened and then ICE came and started kidnapping out neighbors? This is maybe the wildest thing you have said yet. What are we supposed to do when masked men show up and stick people in unmarked vans? Just say, "good thing it wasn't me this time?"

What are you even on about? Time to take a long break from wherever you are getting these ideas.

I have never made that claim. I never mentioned ICE as thats another conversation. Please show all of us where the word kidnapping appeared in any of my posts. None of my comments mentioned masked men, unmarked vans either. Prove me wrong. You won't because you can't.

You asked what I am even on about? What does that mean? Take a long break from where I get my ideas. No, I will not. My postings are based on finding better ideas to improve what we are dealing with in various circumstances. I like to have educational and provocative discussions.

Your post is a lie because I've never said what you allege. Not only is your post untrue, and yet you posted anyway, but I was under the impression that personal attacks are not allowed.

Show us all how reasonable you are by either supporting your claims or act like a grown up and apologize (which I would gladly accept).

If you continue posting false information and continue to make it personal I would highly suggest you ignore my posts. Either contribute in a fashion that's promotes discussion or kindly remain silent.

The entire context of this discussion is the military being brought in to LA. What did you mean by this if you weren't referring directly to the Marines and National Guard being sent to LA in response to people standing up to ICE? What other possible context could there be for this:
You really believe that the most atrocious violence emanated from the government? Who attacked Los Angeles first? It wasn't the government.

@Bazinga ,
Pro tip:
Accusing the moderators of lying and suggesting they ignore you probably won't work out well.
Cheers!
Well, I am responding here as a private citizen and i don't think anything Bazinga has said to me above is over the line anyway.

ACAB, including mods. 😜
