I'm a little surprised at how much this has effected me. I know, of course, how much I liked him, but I hadn't noted that I needed him. I have found myself with wet eyes several times since I learned. I watched Good Will Hunting last night and will watch Dead Poets Society and Garp in the next few days. His comedy is outstanding but I find it's his heart that has effected me most. His ability to make you feel and to care. And his effervescence, like a shaken bottle of pop that explodes over everything around it. From his first appearance on Mork and Mindy through his serious roles and his fight for life from within his pain he was a model of humanity that was unique in many ways. We will go on because that is all there is, but it won't be the same. Something important will be missing.
His pain is likely over but OUR wish needs to be that reincarnation is real and he will come back to us soon in some form or another. If only it could be a form that so effectively helped US deal with the world...
