You just want the best, untampered, cold pressed, extra virgin. Maybe virgin is the same thing with cconut oil, I should know.
Ex V olive oil is superior to virgin.
But cold pressed, extra virgin should be the stuff.
Main thing is to get organic. Make sure of that. You will get the better product that way every time and it's really very affordable. Organic coconut oil is almost a commodity and like many organic items vs the non-organic forms.
Coconut oil is better than butter all day long too, much higher in saturated fats.
Edit- just watching the video above, and it basically confirmed my conclusions I remember drawing which stopped me considering the Magucal Butter Machine. The need to use a fair old bit of oilmand herb e very time, like at least an ounce, unless you want your oil to be mega diluted or splattered all up the side like matey's is.
I mean that in itself would do my OCD thinking that stuff didn't get extracted properly and I've got a scrape it all off to get my money's worth.
The Ardent/Nova decarboxylatiors. They do interests me more on the idea that that may produce a more Potent and effective product vs our caveman and somewhat haphazard oven decarbing.
Bit expensive enough, and I saw too many reviews on Amazon of units packing up prematurely and customer service being awkward or unresponsive plus the whole business of expensive international warranty returns.
Next time I'll get extra virgin. I just got refined at the grocery store.
It is organic, because that's pretty much all that was there. Though, I normally try to avoid buying anything that's advertised as organic or non-gmo.
I did forget to get lecithin, so I ordered some sunflower lecithin powder from Amazon. Should have that in a couple days.
Yeah, that's why I haven't bought the MBM. It looks like you have to make large batches, and I don't always want to do that.
The Nova, on the other hand, has been on my wish list for some time. I hadn't heard about the bad experiences you mentioned, but I'll look into it more now.
Ahh, damn it. I just realized that I have nothing to filter this first experimental batch of ABV canna oil/butter.
Oh well, off to amazon.com land I go to order some cheesecloth....
I also hear that coconut oil not only absorbs more medication but coconut oil last longer than butter. It's also supposed to healthier.
I brought a magic butter machine today, it looks stupid simple and I love the set it and forget it concept. You can also do alchohol tinctures, I always avoided trying to do tinctures because flames and alcohol is dangerous, with magic butter machine I dont have to worry about that.
Yeah, much of what I've read suggests that it's more efficient at what we want it to do, and is definitely healthier than eating that much butter. At the same time, the small amounts that most people consume for their desired effect, the health benefit may be insignificant. The efficiency factor is more important to me.
I hope that you'll come back and let us know what you think of the MBM after you've gotten acquainted with it, please!
