I always kind of scoffed at the idea of using the PD with a water pipe. I like water filtered vapor and hitting bongs, but with the PD's small bowl and short vapor path designed for minimal condensation it just didn't feel right.
After actually trying it I was impressed how well it worked, all things considered.
The PD provides a high vapor to air ratio, but it seemed to be diminished when filling up a huge (in relation to the PD's bowl) bong. The disproportionate bongs also seemed to provide too much suction torque for an even cook.
So what would be the ideal bong for the PD? Probably something with minimal surface area, volume and water. Keep the vapor ratio high and condensation low.
On the advice of a knowledgeable glasshead I decided to try a 100ml EHLE. Good quality and value.
After a couple weeks of testing I have to say this is an
excellent fit for the PD. So much better than the bigger bongs I've tried. Suction is right on and the low volume keeps the vapor thick. Super easy to clean, well made, and just plain fun to hit!

Re-posting these from the skim milk thread. With the standard downstem you only need about 15ml of water.
Just for fun I decided to see how far I could take a 0.1g. Packing the bowls about half way to the top I was averaging 6 bowls per 0.1g.
Each bowl was enough to fill the 100ml bong twice without any popcorn taste. What does it all mean? Hitting bongs is fun.
You can pick one of these up for
only $40 at EDIT.
