Right after this came out I emailed them about those units and they replied that there weren't any counterfeit units out there yet so it would be authentic and carry the warranty.
If you were considering buying, I'd email them again and reconfirm

I emailed them about whether or not the tether comes with them. They have yet to email me back.

That’s most likely how. The ball cap comes with a tether, and so does the travel pack.
If you look on the website, the black model does not show the tether comes included but I have people told me it does.
Doesn’t matter. I’ll probably grab a travel pack and a ball cap anyway LOL

Personally, the only thing worthwhile from the travel pack for me was the tether.
The backpack/qtip holder looks goofy as hell and gets in my way trying to take a draw from the device. The splash guard also looks goofy as hell, and I rarely have splashback issues so I just don't bother

Agreed, I can't stand that splashguard, my buddy had it on for a while and I had to take it off, I feel like it makes me start drooling in the rig lol. And the backpack holds enough q tips for like two dabs so it's kind of clunky too.
I ordered the travel pack because i wanted the tether and I thought the mouthpiece cover made it spill proof because of the videos they posted. Turned out the mouthpiece cover doesnt really do much. Can still sip water through it so you cant add anymore water and if it knocks over it will still leak water. I ended up just purchasing an artist peak attachment.
In hindsight I wish i ordered an extra cap or the new ball cap which includes the tether because imo the travel pack is a waste of money.
That being said I dont really use the tether that much. Its a great idea but on the move it just causes the carb cap to bang around especially in my car when its in the cup holder. I use a custom cap so im a little more concerned than using a puffco cap.
As for the ball cap I dont think its any better or more efficient than the stock cap. It also gets dirtier quicker. I dont get any more dabs or wipe up any less oil using either cap. Also because its round and doesnt sit flat its more likely to fall off if your not careful. IMO Ball caps and directional caps have become so popular because quartz bangers have such a large surface now (25+mm) and using a torch creates uneven heating and “hot spots” in the quartz so moving the oil around is beneficial. With the peak the dish is so small and the heating is pretty even so a directional cap doesnt really do anything besides move the oil around from one spot to another with the same temperature.

Took the plunge. Concentrate pickup on the 22nd. Getting some live rosin and solventess sugar.
I went with a vendor where I got a free Linx Hypnos Zero with purchase. So not bad. Bought 3 extra atomizers (heard how can they can be flakey sometimes), got the ball cap and tether, travel pack [i know I’m gonna at least use the quiver], and the free Linx Hypnos Zero.
I’m pretty pumped. I can’t wait.
Sadly, at least not right now, I can’t have a dab rig and torch around. Small kids and shit. Peak is nice and easy to hide away once done.

I think after market glass is the way to go.

The bubble cap is a huge improvement on vapor
It's cause the stock one sucks air right into the bubbler instead of pushing the oil around.

Glad I bought the ball cap then!
The function similarly to stock peak attachment. It does have the restricted neck which helps with splash back but if youre going to get a peak attachment get something that has a different perc than peaks (stem inside a cone/cylinder with two holes)

Seems to hold more water than the stock attachment, and the perc looks way nicer, while being sizable enough to still travel with. Mouthpiece is quite civilized as well...

What's the ticket on that? I saw that one on IG a little while back when @pxl_jockey was showing me some of the newer Eric Ross stuff. I think it looks great! And the mouthpiece looks very comfortable/CIVILIZED.
SiC inserts.. several have talked about them and some say they didn’t work well. I can only talk about Fadespace. I got mine awhile back and it didn’t work well. Then I started not pressing the lid down all the way and it hit like a champ. Fadespace contacted me the other day to see if there was a little bump/imperfection on the bottom of the insert. There was. If this is on yours as well, send him a pic and ask for a new one. He sent me one and it works like a champ now. He said they found very few like this but low and behold mine was one of them. It just wasn’t fully flat in the atomizer.

He told me $360 shipped when I asked - not sure when he's gonna make more but I'd say based on how much I use the Peak currently... and how much I think that would enhance my experience... I don't think it's an awful price. Of course I'd like it to be cheaper, but it's reasonable.
