it's on instagram. he did a live feed and archived it for 24hrs after it ended, probably up for another 12~ or so hours if i remember right. you will have to make an account and look through his story posts by clicking his avatar.

pretty sure live feeds can only be viewed via mobile unless there's some workaround i'm missing.

NIce! That atomizer he was using in the video was definitely taller than the current version. I actually don't like my vapor that thick, I like to milk a .05g or smaller dab for 5-7 hits personally. But I am excited about whatever changes they made for 2 reasons, longevity for one thing, I assume the atty is a little more robust. And 2, with the extra power this will make thick quartz and SiC inserts work quite well I imagine.
The stock atomizer really works better of a fairly thin bottomed insert, no matter the material. The V3.0 atty will certainly allow us to switch inserts more freely with decent results. Now we just need to get the V2.0 base with a larger, replaceable battery and variable temps! I wouldn't mind an app plus a digital temp readout that's totally variable. focus vapes is implementing some of these into the Carta, so I expect them to be in the Peak V2.0.

So...Do you think Puffco will send all current owners a V3.0 atomizer of do we have to shell out another $50? :lol:

Roger had another live today - said not to expect "peak2" in 2019 - still far off. They seem to be focused on improving atomizer stability/robustness in the meantime.

Hopeful to see atomizer v3 by 4/20 but no ideas.

Really after like 2 months with mine and daily use, I'm thinking my main issues with it are taste (ceramic is just dull. It's not as bad as Ti but by no means ideal... hoping quartz will resolve) and the lack of more heat settings. He did address an app for the peak, but didn't really reach a resolution. More heat settings would fix my issue, really, but an app would be ideal.

Definitely, it's not as bad as Ti, but that's not saying much. I found the ceramic cups to be horrible, not only for flavour but also for vaporization.... either pooling or burnt. I had the same experience with the quartz inserts I tried (v.1 and v2 from Fadespace) but apparently they were just designed too thin.

Sounds like a full opaque insert is the way to go for the Peak!

I'll be trying one likely, if my opaque bottom that's arriving tomorrow doesn't work out.

Also, Fadespace is who I bought my first SiC insert from. I couldn't get it to work, so I gave it to a buddy (actually traded it for an atomizer) and I bought the SP SiC... My buddy ended up DMing fadespace on IG for help getting the bucket to work, and they went on a massive rant... insulting and trolling him. I don't think I could recommend anyone to spend their money with fadespace after seeing how the owner acted.

Also, you're hitting your peak way too much if you think Puffco is actually going to give out the new atomizers. I'd be surprised if they even offered a discount when they release the new atomizer

Does anyone know what the OD of the Peak inserts are? Just curious if the Constant Gems Peak Ruby insert on sale for $125 would be feasible in a 25mm thick walled banger.

Its probably better suited for a 20mm banger. They should all be around 15mm dia, however the ceramic one from Puffco has a smaller dia at the bottom than it does at the top because the walls are sloped.

I wouldn't be worried and would be more likely to buy one now if I didn't grab one during BF sales, since they dropped some incoming news. They're dropping a new atomizer revision in a few months and confirmed that all glass will still work with any new revisions to the base. Both pretty huge things imo.

If you take care of your atomizers properly, there's no real issues. Sometimes it's inconsistent, but I think it's particularly finnicky with how much you load. If you overload, it struggles to get up to temp more. I've found cold loading to give me the best results and it's worked solid, daily for almost 3 months now.

Just drop your atomizer, fully assembled in iso to clean it. Let it air dry, or use a blowdryer or heat gun if in a hurry. Doing this, and ONLY dry swabbing after a dab, I have been able to stick with one atomizer for around a month now (I know that's not long, but prior, I was having issues thinking that I maybe had a faulty base due to how to inconsistent my unit was)

I'm still waiting to find an insert material other than ceramic that works as well, but it's still definitely nice to have. Now that I know any glass I buy for it won't be obsolete in a year or 2, I'm also considering buying a custom attachment, but the stock one definitely isn't terrible... not amazing but not awful either.

Only due to circumstance. It's not realistic for me to leave my enail out in my current living situation, and it's too much hassle to take it out/put it away every night. That was one of the main reasons I bought the Peak. It works fine for now, and I need a new enail anyway since my Hexnail is permanently stuck on 540 (I think) unless I want go through that whole escapade. I figure I'll roll with the Peak for now and once things change I'll grab one of those sweet looking MaxVapor controllers and an axial coil and get back to real business.

Also, what's everyones thought on the ball carb cap instead of the standard?

Also - anyone think they gonna have a Valentine's Day sale? Thinking of waiting till then to order.

Cheek greek glass for cheap ruby inserts, I just ordered one for my quartz banger

That's what I use. I never used the stock cap, cos I heard it sucks.

I supposedly have an EQ marble cap coming, but I have no idea what they're doing, or when they're going to ship my order.

I don't have the tether but when I 1st got my Peak I had a bubble cap made with some custom glass to follow. Now I am having a bubble cap made shortly with a built in small dabber on one end so I don't have to use a separate dabber when out and about.

I would anticipate next sale to be 420. Their black friday sales weren't even that great. I paid retail for mine, just got a free travel pack.
