Heyy man whatsup? Definetly insterestedn inbur Boro glass cups .. I’ve been trying to order m quartz ones for days from eternal, buth their impossible to reach... is definetly do some boro reciews nnket u know how they compare to the quartz
Loving my Peak so far but would love it even more if I had the option of a quartz cup. Was gonna go with EQ until I read the trip reports here. Guess I'll just keep waiting, maybe Puffco will drop one eventually
I think someone said the quartz inserts were thin but the ones they were showing off on their IG the other day looked really beefy, especially the opaque ones. They've probably already changed the design.
My best friend just received his peak today and so far hes pretty devastated. He cannot get the glass piece seated into the base so that there is a seal and you can get a actual hit, he said that it looks to be like a defect in the glass but he lives a few hours away so I cant just go take a look at it. I’m pretty bummed, if it was awesome he was going to bring it out for test but how are have to wait and see what puffco support says ...
I had the exact same issue. The glass wouldn’t seat properly so a lot of extra air was coming in. Took two weeks until I got a replacement. Email turn around times were three days or more. Their support is awful. That said, the replacement glass works well and it’s a great little gadget when it works.
Peak is a good unit, works well and convienently discreet. I dig it.
The bad, is the unit has zero support, took a week to get a reply on how to clean the atomizer. Was suggested to soak it in iso, I used a natural solution (DC glass cleaner) began to use aqtip to clean around the ceremic heating/plate when it broke.
Now my $500 Canadian unit is down due to a broken .10 piece. And probably 2-3 weeks turn around on a replacement that I have no clue if they have, if I'm expected to purchase or if it's warrantable based on their stellar support.

they also just posted a video of it producing huge clouds on the lowest setting so who knows... The opaque ones have the bottoms premade and then sealed on there so those are definitely gonna be thicker
Around the outside of the plate over time there is buildup. I wanted it to be ''new clean" so contacted puffco for advise on how to clean. They suggested soaking the entire removable atomizer, I did and still had some buildup on the corners of the metal. Anyways tried to get a q-tip on those spots and eventually the plate came loose.
Plate has 2 wires that come off it, fairly simple design but Uber cheap construction/hardware for a $500 rig. I would guess a .20 cent part from China.
I also grabbed 3 eternal quartz dishes and a top.. can't really say it's a vast improvement, think money would be better spent on the recycler/bubbler to gain functionality.

In general do most people with a peak and the ceramic and Quartz cups prefer the Quartz hits over the ceramic for flavour? As with most things we dab on there is a set list of the best to worse materials to dab on.
Would be good to see puff co offering varieties of cups to use, missing a trick there for potential sale add ons, just saying .
Just speaking for myself, I prefer the ceramic. (especially when kept clean.).
The quartz is easier to clean and restore like new, but the ceramic for whatever reason tastes best to me.

I have done about a couple dozen sessions with waxes and Shatters.
I followed the directions, and when the hits were done, I used the Q-Tips to
wipe the ceramic cup out, while still moist and hot.
My cup looks like new inside.
I am cautious to never take hits when the flavor has diminished, or when I see the cup contents bubbling down slowly... indicating they are about to "skin over" the meniscus.

actually meeting the cup, and causing dried up concentrate to bake onto cup's interior.

My cup is new too, try and keep the whole rig prestiene just evenin up with some residue below the ceremic heating plate, collects around the metal/openings.
Mine died after just a few uses. Got it and fully charged unit until pulsing white lights were off. Got a few good uses out of it and then it wouldn't turn on (no lights, vibration, or anything). When plugged in I get pulsing white light for an hour or two and then it stops pulsing. I can long-hold to turn on when plugged in and triple click to get battery status when plugged in but status is always flashing red no matter how long I charge (still flashing red after overnight). Once unplugged, unit will not turn on, fire, give battery status, or respond at all.
No response from support yet. Not a great experience considering my very expensive new peak lasted about 8 hours.
So your atomizer just needs to be adjusted it seems. It’s pretty simple to fix, you can just take it apart and rebuild it and it’ll work. It takes like two minutes max.
I did not take atomizer apart (do not know how)... but I fiddled with the atomizer... made sure connection was clean, then rescrewed it in firmly, and my unit worked from then on.
Once after that I experienced a day when the Peak would blink red 3 times when I tried to heat it up.....
I unscrewed the atomizer, put it back firmly, and unit now works again like a charm.
Where did you all order quartz cups for peak? I see many talking but cant find an actual link to buy them. I have to wait for a warranty repair on my peak (dead battery) so figured I would order a new cup while I wait. I checked the eternal quartz page but didn't see anything specifically listed for the peak.

i notice below the heating plate there is condensed vapor building up but i just soak it in iso overnight and it looked brand new.
Side note: Paid $60 for an enternal cup insert last tuesday and was told “please wait 2-5 days for tracking” still have not recieved any word or any insert.
Ive been using glass inserts in the meantime... I dont find a noticeable difference in flavor or production of vapor between the glass and ceramic. It did take a few uses to break in the glass though im thinking the annealing flame or kiln might have had something to donwith that though

Just a headsup, I had a nightmare a while ago trying to order a Eternal banger and insert, after 2 months I finally got a refund but no banger or insert. The only luck I have had with getting Eternal inserts is buying them through other headshops rather than direct
I posted here for the first time ever on Saturday to say I was loving my Peak but wish I had some quartz for it.
When I tried using the Peak later that day, I got the rainbow of death. It would not heat at all. I unscrewed the atomizer out of the base, and realized the plate was detached as described above. Just fell right out, with 2 flimsy little wires.
I contacted Puffco that same night, anticipating that I'd probably have to wait a while for a response. But I honestly don't have much confidence in this company right now, based on my experience with the device and the reports I'm reading. I love this thing when it works, but why should I expect a replacement to be any more reliable? Thinking about getting my credit card company to just help me facilitate a return, and go back to my Cloud Evo until they figure out how to make this thing work.
